Lily and Ryan finally arrived at the corner not far from the restaurant where they were having dinner. The two of them are now sitting together at the bar and enjoying tequila.
Ryan smiled when he saw Lily, who looked beautiful in the maroon strapless dress. She let her curvy brown hair open on her shoulders. Lily's eyebrows arched and framed her blue eyes. It makes Ryan couldn't take his eyes off Lily.
He was even more mesmerized as those blue eyes sparkled when Lily talked about what she was doing right now. Even though he sometimes doesn't understand Lily's terms, he still enjoys it because Lily's eyes look very happy.
"Did you know that you have beautiful eyes, Lily?" Ryan asked suddenly.
Lily immediately stopped what she was saying. She laughed when she saw Ryan staring at him. "It seems I was just talking to myself while you were busy watching my eyes."
Ryan laughed softly, shaking his head. "I listened to what you said. Although, to be honest, I don't understand some of the terms you use."
"Why don't you ask?" said Lily.
Ryan just shrugged his shoulders. "I'm enjoying too much what you're talking about."
Lily chuckled. She then drank her tequila which had been re-filled by the bartender. "Then I'll listen to you now. I wonder what sports promoters are doing."
"Yes, not as much as you do in your work laboratory. We are just looking for something so that a sporting event can be well organized and get people's attention," said Ryan.
"That's just the outline. I know you must have a lot of other work to do," said Lily.
"Providing a venue for events, ensuring athletes and their officials feel comfortable during the event, inviting top artists to watch the match. That's also only a small part. What is certain is that we have to find funds so that sporting events can run," explained Ryan.
Lily nodded while listening to Ryan's explanation. Unknowingly she also noticed Ryan's appearance. His chestnut brown hair and comb-over hairstyle framed his sharp jawline and adorned a thin beard.

Ryan muttered for a moment. "I don't know. I don't know if this is my dream job or not. I enjoy it because I get to meet a lot of people."
Lily laughed softly. "We seem like opposites. I wouldn't say I like meeting people. That's why I prefer to spend my time in the lab."
"I'd also be happy to spend my time in the lab." Ryan looked at Lily deeply. "If it's with you."
Lily laughed in response to Ryan's words. "Trust me. You'll be bored if you spend too much time with me."
"You want to prove it?" challenged Ryan.
Lily looked directly at Ryan while frowning.
"I still have plenty of time until tomorrow before I go back to New York," Ryan said.
"Oh, you have to go back to New York?" Lily asked.
Ryan nodded his head. "I only came here to fulfill Catherine's invitation. And I don't think I regret the long journey to Arizona."
Lily and Ryan looked at each other. Lily swallowed a little when her eyes met Ryan's warm eyes. She took a deep breath to control herself so as not to fall for Ryan's charm.
Lily then distracted herself by glancing at her watch. She chuckled because she didn't expect that she had spent enough time with Ryan. "Looks like I have to leave soon."
"Why? We've only been here a moment?" asked Ryan in surprise.
Lily smiled at Ryan. "Looks like I've been spending more time with you than I wanted to."
Ryan laughed softly. "Then you might as well spend the night with me. Keep me company until I return tomorrow."
Lily considered the offer given by Ryan. She was distressed that her research on treatment developments for Matthew had not yet come to light and felt the need to please herself. She had to admit that chatting with Ryan made her a little delightful.
"How?" Ryan asked Lily once more.
Lily was still silent and had not answered Ryan's question. She suddenly took his tequila glass and drank it straight away. After drinking her tequila, Lily smirked at Ryan. "It seems I'm drunk if I accept your invitation."
Ryan laughed at Lily's words. "Wine or champagne? I can ask the hotel to provide it in my room." He smiled at Lily's blushing cheeks. The woman seemed to be almost drunk.
"Anything as long as it's drinkable," Lily replied.
"Looks like you're getting drunk," Ryan said.
"Hmm?" said Lily, frowning. "I'm not drunk yet."
Ryan shook his head at Lily, smiling to herself while looking at the people around her. His hand suddenly grabbed Lily's face.
Lily's eyes widened as Ryan's hand touched her face. "What are you doing?"
Ryan immediately lowered his hand. He then whispered in Lily's ear. "We'd better go now." He then placed cash on the bar table where they were sitting. After that, Ryan held Lily's hand and quickly took her to leave the bar.
