Lily watched the moving cells under the microscope's lens she was observing. Again and again. She sighed because she saw the cell moving irregularly under her microscope lens.
She finally took her eyes away from his microscope eyepiece and took a deep breath. After that, she stood up from his seat and took another sample from the storage cupboard in his room.
Lily then heats the sample until it turns reddish. After the example turned reddish, Lily mixed it with a yellowfish serum she had gotten from her father.
This time, She plans to mix bat DNA extraction into her father's homemade serum. After she finished mixing it, she put it in the mixer machine so that her serum and her father's serum could combine flawlessly.
She waited for a while until the rotating machine stopped and immediately took the serum, which had now turned a transparent white like water. Then Lily came back to her microscope, and she took out a small amount of the serum she had just mixed.
After that, she dropped it over the cancer cells under the lens of her microscope. Lily brought her eyes back to the eyepiece in her microscope to see how the new serum reacted to the cancer cell taken from Matthew's cancer cells.
However, before seeing that reaction, she closed her eyes and prayed in her heart. "Give me good results, please." She then opened her eyes and began to see the reaction of her serum which she mixed with her father's serum.

Mr. Graff and Max watched Lily from outside her working room. Max then glanced at his watch. "It's almost midnight, and Lily doesn't look like she's planning to go home yet."
Mr. Graff took a deep breath and turned away from Lily's room. "Leave it. Maybe tonight, she will sleep in her laboratory."
Max turned to Mr. Graff and followed him to leave Lily's room. "You told Lily about the serum you made?"
Mr. Graff nodded his head. "I should have told her sooner. In that way, she could quickly find a cure for Matthew. I know she's also one step closer to finding a cure for Matthew."
"Doesn't that mean you are purposely Lily to work faster?" Max asked.
Mr. Graff stopped in his path and looked at Max. "She should be motivated. So she can quickly find a solution for her homemade serum."
"Sometimes you are so scary as a Father. Lucky my dad isn't like you," Max said.
"But I'm your boss. I can also push you to the edge of the abyss if I want," said Mr. Graff. The middle-aged man then took a deep breath. "I know Lily's well. Sometimes she has to be given a little push to find an answer."
"Would the push about possibly waking Matthew up sooner could make Lily find the cure sooner too?"
Mr. Graff laughed softly. "You should know the answer when you see Lily still in her laboratory." He then continued his walk.
Meanwhile, Max stared back at Lily's lab room. He sighed softly and then continued his steps, following Mr. Graff.

Lily rubbed her sore eyes. She didn't know how long she had been in her laboratory. Lily blinked her eyes and nodded slowly. Then she looked at the clock on her phone screen.
"My God. No wonder my eyes feel tired," Lily said when she looked at the clock on her cellphone, it was three in the morning. Lily then took off the glasses and placed them next to her monitor screen.
The monitor screen displayed an image of the cancer cells extracted from Matthew's cancer. The cancer cells stopped growing after Lily dripped a new serum which she mixed with her father's serum.
"This should be a good result," Lily said to herself. "Should I try it right now?"
Lily blinked her eyes. She finally chose to stand up from her seat and walked out of her room. Lily stepped into the storage room where Matthew's body was.
Lily stood in front of the cryonic tube that kept Matthew's body when she entered the storage room. She looked at Matthew's face. "Did you sleep well? Did you have a sweet dream?"
She then stepped back. She sat on the floor and looked up at Matthew's face. Suddenly Lily chuckled softly. "I hope you get out of that tube as soon as possible. It must feel bad to be in such a cramped space."
Lily continued to stare at Matthew's face, which looked like he was sleeping. Even when she blinked her eyes, Lily kept looking at Matthew's face. She suddenly laughed softly. "Why do I never get tired of looking at your face? What should I tell you if you finally wake up? You don't even know me. But I like you from the first time I see you in this lab."
Lily hugged her leg while yawning a few times. But she kept her eyes on the cryonic tube that held Matthew's body. Suddenly Lily's eyes caught something strange from the look on Matthew's face. She finally stood back up to confirm what she had seen.
She moved closer to the canister that held Matthew's body and watched him intently. She even checked the panels connected to the tube to ensure no damage to the box.
"Looks like all is well," Lily said after checking the panel connected to the tube that held Matthew's body.
Lily gasped when she heard a sound hitting the tube from inside. She finally decided to peek into the box through the small window that showed Matthew's face.
Lily's eyes widened as she straightened herself up again. She couldn't believe what she was seeing right now. Matthew's eyes opened, and he was staring intently at her. She stepped back from the tube that kept Matthew's body.
"Impossible." Lily gaped at Matthew's eyes. His eyes stared at her.
Lily breathes heavily. She didn't believe in what she saw right now. Matthew walks from his cryonic tube and directly walks to her.
