After finishing her last trial on her homemade serum, Lily took a deep breath. She looked at Mr. Graff, Max, Alona, and other researchers who witnessed the test. She then approached Mr. Graff and hugged him.
"You did well, Lily," said Mr. Graff.
"Thanks, Dad," Lily said. She then turned to Max, who was standing next to Mr. Graff. "I did it, Max."
"Now, I can't wait to see the results of your serum on Matthew," said Max.
Lily laughed softly. She then looked at Max. "Thank you, Max."
"Good job, Darling." Max hugged Lily. "I'm very proud of you."
"Excuse me, I also want to congratulate Lily," Alona interrupted as she released Lily from Max's arms.
Max laughed softly and let Alona hug Lily. "You're ruining my fun, Lona."
Alona played with her eyes while looking at Max. "Don't forget that I helped you," said Alona to Lily.
Lily laughed softly. "Of course, I won't forget you. You always help me."
Alona then let go of her hug and looked at Lily. "Are you going to forget about Ryan after Matthew wakes you up?"
"Deg." Lily was silent after hearing Alona's question. She then took a deep breath.
"Don't tell me you've completely forgotten about him?" asked Alona.
Lily immediately shook her head. "Of course not. I just-"
"Just what?" Alona asked Lily again.
Max suddenly interrupted. "Lily just managed to test a sample that can cure Matthew. You should be able to talk about that later, Lona."
Alona looked at Max. "You're right." She then turned her attention back to Lily. "Don't let him wait for you unclearly."
Lily smiled awkwardly at Alona while nodding her head. "I'll call him after this."
"Good then," said Alona. "Because he has called me several times to ask about your condition. He said you never replied to his messages."
Lily nodded her head again. She then turned to other researchers who watched her experiment. They greeted Lily while congratulating her. Lily tried to keep a smile on those who were congratulating her. Even though she was a little disturbed by the discussion about Ryan brought up by Alona in her heart.

Not long after, Lily and Alona returned to their working room. Alona said to go home early because she already had an appointment with Alex. After Alona left her, Lily checked her cellphone and read the message Ryan sent to her.
It's been a few weeks since her last call with Ryan. Ryan still messaged her, even though Lily never replied to the messages. She felt that she did not have time to respond to that messages because she had to find a cure to cure Matthew.
Lily closed her eyes for a moment before she decided to call Ryan. She suddenly felt afraid that Ryan would not answer her phone because she had been ignoring him for a long time.
"Ryan?" said Lily when Ryan answered the phone.
"Oh, you're looking for Ryan? I'll call him. Wait a moment."
Lily was surprised because the one who answered Ryan's phone was a woman. "Thank you." Those were the only words that could come out of her mouth. She could hear the woman who answered the phone calling Ryan. She felt bad for Ryan. She was afraid that she might have interfered with Ryan's date with the woman.
Not long after, Lily heard a familiar voice greet her. "I thought you had forgotten about me. You haven't answered my messages in weeks."
"I'm sorry," said Lily. "Did I interrupt your date? I can explain to your date that the two of us are just friends."
Ryan laughed after hearing Lily's words. "Stay cool. You didn't ruin my date."
"Is it true? She's your date?" Lily asked. For some reason, she became a little uncomfortable after hearing Ryan's words. However, she wasn't sure how she felt.
"It's not like that," Ryan said.
"I'm sorry," Lily said again.
"You don't need to apologize," Ryan said. "How are you? Have you managed to wake your hibernating bear?"
Lily took a deep breath. "I just need one more step to wake my bear."
"Good then. I'm happy to hear that," Ryan said.
"I'll call you later. I think I called you at the wrong time. Sorry, Ryan." Lily suddenly turned off her phone with Ryan.
After turning off the phone, Lily took a deep breath. For some reason, her feelings became mixed after hearing the voice of a woman who answered her phone call. "Why do I feel this way?" Lily asked herself.
Then she looked back at her phone screen. In her heart, she is hoping that Ryan would contact her again after she decided to disconnect the call one-sidedly. But Ryan didn't call or text him.
Lily finally chose to put down her phone. Then she tidied up her desk. After putting all her things into her bag, Lily immediately got up from her desk and left her working room.

"Hannah!" Ryan called to the woman who was tidying the files on his desk.
The woman immediately turned to Ryan. "What?"
"Thank you," Ryan replied with a big smile.
Hannah frowned. "For?"
"Anyway, I thank you because you answered my call earlier," Ryan said
"I don't understand," Hannah said.
Ryan laughed and walked over to his desk. "Tonight, I'm flying to Arizona."
"What is it? all of a sudden."
"I have to explain something to a woman. She misunderstood when you answered my phone earlier," Ryan said. He suddenly laughed again.
Hannah looked at Ryan in stupefaction. "Couldn't you have explained it on the phone? Why would you go to Arizona to explain something so trivial? Unless—" She glared at Ryan mischievously.
Ryan smiled broadly at Hannah. "Please tell me I'm out of town. In case someone asks me. I'll be back soon. You can do it, right?"
Hannah nodded her head. "Okay. I will not forbid you to go to meet the woman of your heart. I'll take care of it. There's nothing on your schedule for the next two days anyway."
"So, I have two days to go?" Ryan asked.
Hannah nodded her head. "Have fun."
Ryan approached Hannah and kissed her cheek. "You are indeed very reliable."
Hannah laughed softly at Ryan's words. "Save those kisses for the women you'll meet."
