Coco's pov
"Chill pumpkin, it's a school not the end of the world." Ian said, typing away on his cellphone.
"Shut up." I said, too angry to say more than that. Ian chuckled.
" You'll be fine.... and I'm sure they'll let you call home twice a week, or maybe once." Ian said.
" Ugh" I groaned.
" Do I have to go there....I could just stay and be homeschooled." I said
"Could you shut up instead! I'm trying to work here!" Came mom's voice from the shotgun seat. Ian rolled his eyes and I sighed looking out the window.
All I could see was trees, this school was in the middle of nowhere. I wish I didn't have to go. I wish I didn't have to leave my brother but I know I didn't have a choice. This sucks.
"Wakey wakey... we're here." I heard Ian's voice and opened my eyes to see his face up close hovering over mine.
" Argh!" I yelled pushing him away, earning a chuckle.
" Could you be any more annoying." I said and he winked at me alighting from the car, I followed suit.
" Here you go, miss" Albert said with a little bow as he handed me my backpack.
" I've got it." Ian said collecting my other stuffs from Albert who smiled kindly at him.
We walked in silence along the huge stone fence, mum leading the way, Ian holding my luggage and I, trudging lazily behind.
Two minutes later we stood in front of the enormous iron gate with the name 'mount olives' boldly written, I hate this school already.
"listen here kid," mom said, dragging me to the side and narrowing her brows as she spoke, " I pulled a lot of strings and paid a butt load of money to get you accepted into this..... wonderful school. If you do anything to embarrass me or my family....." She paused and took a deep breath.
"It's not like you'll do anything but, okay, fine." I said with a shrug. Just then, a guard dressed in a blue jumpsuit walked towards us.
"Good day Millers." He greeted,mum gave a curt nod as he opened the gate.
" I'm sorry but only parents are allowed to go in with students. School rules." The man stated.
" Let's get this over with, come along Colette." Mum said, walking inside. I sighed for the hundredth time.
" It's alright, buttercup. You'll be fine." Ian said.
" Easy for you to say. You're not the one who gets dumped In a prison in the middle of nowhere." I argued.
" Boarding school isn't half as scary as you think it is, trust me. Besides, it's Just for a year and half... hopefully." He whispered the last part.
" Hey!" I punched his side and he winced playfully before chuckling.
" I'm gonna miss you, cocs." He said and I swallowed.i already miss him. Closing the distance between us, I hugged him tightly.
" You know is not too late, I can just sneak into the car and you drive me to LA." I said and he laughed, his blue eyes shining and smile bright.
"Call every week okay?" He said.
" I will." I promised.
" Colette!" Mum called impatiently.
" Well, take care of yourself and try not to knock anyone of your numerous girlfriends up.. I'm too young to be an aunt." I said.
" Hey, no promises." He smirked making me laugh.
" Bye, pumpkin." He ruffled my hair fondly.
" Stop it." I slapped his hands, smoothing my hair and walking inside.

" It says here that she's been expelled from five different schools in one year." The principal said.
" Four schools, the last one was because we had to move." Mom said. The principal pushed the round glasses up her dainty face. She looked too young to be a principal and I'm pretty sure she didn't need those funny looking glasses either.
" Well, considering her grades and the generous donation you have made, Mrs millers, I think we could make an exception, even though it's already the middle of the semester." She said all in one breath, smiling sweetly at mum and I.
" Thank you, Mrs Huntsenberg." Mom said, standing up swiftly, I followed suit.
" Be good Colette." She said with a tight smile.
" Okay mum.... love you." I said, looking at her expectantly.
"Okay" she patted my head and walked out.
Was I expecting something else?
