Coco's pov
The next week, Monday and Tuesday was a blur and it was Wednesday already.
School work has been stressful, to say the least.
Been trying to catch up on the things I missed so I won't have an awful grade at the end of the semester.
I decided to join advanced calculus classes since it helps earn extra credit plus, it keeps me ahead of others.
" That's a good idea, miss Millers. It would surely help you a lot and I trust that you would do wonderfully." Miss Abernathy had told me.
Today is the day I finally join.
The bell rang, indicating the end of physics class.
Sid had drama class and I had advanced calculus.
" Have fun in your super boring math class." Sid said to me .
" Thanks, I will." I smiled, walking down the hallway.
The class was to be held at block B, Where the senior students had their classes.
As I approached block B, I noticed how much quieter it was than our block, A.
Except for the loud voice of the professors are occasional comment by students here and there, it was awfully quiet.
Okay, let's look for class 2b..
Why are the classes not arranged sequencially?
I'm going to be late...
"Are you lost?" I looked up to see a girl with a kind smile.
" Kinda, I'm looking for class 2b. I have advanced calculus." I said to her.
" Oh. Me too. It doesn't start until 9:00 though." She said.
" But it's already 8:58." I said.
" 9:00pm" she said with a chuckle,
what?
Noticing my confused state she clarified,
"Yeah, Dante said he's pretty busy so he rescheduled. It used to be at 9am."
" Oh, okay. Thank you." I said.
" You seem, new."
Ha! Is it that obvious?
" Yeah, I just...transfered. last week." I said.
" Oh...well, that, is 2b." She pointed at a class at the far end of the hall.
" See you later...."
" Coco, Colette Millers." I said.
" Coco. I'm Paris Johnson." She smiled, shaking my hand before walking away.
If I didn't have calculus now, that means I have a free period. Right?
Maybe I'll just go to the library.
As I walked towards the exit,I saw something Black and shiny poking out of a corner,
Should I go check it out?
No.
But what if It was something dangerous, like a snake?
Wouldn't it be better if I kill it before it does harm to someone?
Yeah.
I walked to the corner and lo and behold...
It definitely wasn't a snake alright
"Wow." I think I'm in love..
It was a motorcycle. A BMW 1000 RR. It must have cost a fortune.
It was beautiful. I couldn't help help myself. I got on it and sat. It was my dream bike though mother would never let me get one, said it was too loud.
I smiled to myself as I imagined the look on her face if I ever bring such beauty home, she'll be so mad at me, her nose would scrunch up the way it always does when she's furious.
I chuckled.
" What the fuck are you doing on my bike?!"
A deep voice reached my ears and I snapped my head to the direction.
Well, shit!
" Get. Your. Ass. Off. My. Bike!" He slowly gritted out.
" Oh, I.. I didn't know it was your bike." I said, my heart pounding like it would explode. I quickly climbed down.
"I'm... Sorry.. I.. I.. didn't mean to do that it just... She's... Sooo beautiful I couldn't resist." I stuttered as he walked closer to me, I could feel his scent, he smelled like the earth after rainfall with a hint of... Sandalwood?. His piercing dark eyes stared into mine and I saw I hint of confusion flash through his eyes before it was gone.
For the first time, I could see his facial features clearly. He was built like a Greek god.. I licked my lips subconsciously as I imagined how his lips would feel against mine while I ran my hands through his thick brown hair.
He came closer almost closing the gap between us his scent becoming more stronger as he leaned forward, making me feel a bit dazed. At this point I'm surprised I haven't had a heart attack yet with how erratically fast my heart was beating.
I couldn't will myself to move.
He brought his face close to my left cheek and,
" Get the fuck outta my way, little girl."
He said, his voice sending shivers down my spine as he leaned forward to grab the helmet that was beside me.
" Y—yes." I quickly moved before walking away hurriedly. I heard him sigh and I turned to see that he had worn his helmet and started to drive away.
The engine roared, distorting the rather quiet senior block as he zoomed past me, causing my hair to sway with the force of the wind.
I stood trying to catch my breath.
What TF just happened?.
" Coco!"
I jumped, startled.
" Woah. Where was your mind at, cutie."
" You startled me." I glared at Nathan Lawson.
"Sorry. What are you doing here anyway." He said, collecting the book I was holding.
Nathan has been following me around all week holding my bag and books.
It was quite helpful since I've been carrying a lot of books this week and also very hilarious seeing the looks on everyone's faces when they saw
' the Nathan Lawson ' carrying my bag pack.
" I didn't know that my calculus classes were rescheduled."
" Ah, Dante. I didn't know you took advanced calculus." He says as we walked.
" I just started today." I shrugged.
" So cutie pie is a nerd too." He teased.
" Hahaha." I say.
" Good for you. I can't understand half of what my math professor says not to talk of advance classes." He said with a frown before quickly adding,
" So whats up with you. What got you all flustered and in deep thought earlier."
" Nothing. Just wondering when I would see you." I smiled sweetly.
" Awwn, my baby girl missed me." He said, cheekily.
" Yeah no. I wanted to give you this." I said, hitting his arm hard.
" Ow! What was that for?." He whined, holding his arm.
" For making me walk all the way here with my book." I smirked.
" But I was having classes. Not fair." He pouted.
" Life isn't fair, is it?" I shrugged.
" But seriously, I've been such a good boy carrying your stuff around don't I deserve a reward?" He said.
Idiot.
" We had a deal. It's not like you're doing me a favor, Blondie." I scoffed. We had reached the library building.
" Pleeeasase." He begged and I rolled my eyes, folding my arms and facing him.
" What do you want?" I asked.
" Come watch me play on Saturday." He said
"We have a friendly interschool game on Saturday. I want you to come." He added.
" Nathan I have —" I was about to tell him I had a lot of school work to do but he cut me off.
" You can bring sid if you want, a..and that your other friend.... Tyler? Right. Pleeeasase. "
" I'll...see what I can do."
" Oh thank you." He said, with a big smile. Turns out Nathan was a pretty chill dude when you get to know him, yeah he could say things without thinking sometimes but that's just how he is, he really meant no harm.
" I didn't say I would come."
" I know you will." He said, putting an arm around my neck as we walked into the library.
I rolled my eyes.
********************************
As I lay on my bed, I found my thoughts drifting off to earlier today.
He was rude, to say the least. Very... infuriating.
And the way I reacted....I feel so stupid.
I couldn't even form one stable sentence, it was like my brain went off for a minute and all I could focus on was him.
What is wrong with me.
This hasn't ever happened to me before. What is this feeling that—
Rrrrriiiiinnnnnnnggg!!!
I was interrupted by the shiny new alarm clock on my reading desk.
8:30pm
I better get going.
