Chapter 8 - chapter 8

Walking down the stairs, I spotted Kiara Jones and her minions, she stood, arms folded talking, more like shouting at a girl.

" If I fail this semester because of you.... I'll make sure to make your life a living hell." I heard her say .

I should go help them. I know it's not my business but I just can't stand.... bullying.

As I got closer to where they stood I heard,

"You've already succeeded in doing that, kiki."

A familiar voice. Too familiar. Could it be?

No.

I don't think so.

" What did you just say, you little bitch?" Kiara said, pulling the person's hair. It was red.

Sydney.

" Ah ah ah.. I'm sorry, please stop." She cried.

" Awwwn, but I'm having so much fun." She pouted, still pulling the girl's hair and her minions laughed.

" Stop it!" I said when I reached.

" Oh. If it isn't the new girl everyone's been talking about." She squealed with a smile releasing Sid's hair. Sid kept her head down.

" You know, you disgust me, Kiara. Why do you do this." I said.

" Because it's fun." She shrugged like it was the most normal thing in the world.

She needs help

" Come, sid." I held Sid's hand.

" Not so fast, baby. We had a deal now, right." She pulled sid by the hair again and I lost it,

Slapping her across the face. Her friends gasped in shock.

" What is wrong with you. ?! " I said, pulling sid to me.

" Did you just slap me, bitch? " She said holding her cheek which was now pink ish.

" You bet I did and I'll do it again if I ever see you hurt her. " I said.

" Coco, please let's just leave." Sid whispered.

" Listen to her, coco." One of the girls spoke with a smirk.

" Shut the fuck up or your face would be next, bitch." I said, feeling more infuriated by the second. The girl took a step back, her smirk quickly disappearing.

Kiara moved closer and sid hid behind me.

" Who do you think you are." She seethed.

She was pissed.

" Someone who would not stand back and watch you pick on others just because you feel..entitled." I said . She chuckled.

" You're gonna regret this newbie. I'll make sure you do." She said before storming out of there, her minions following behind.

"Oh my god, She's so violent, I hate that girl." One of her girls spoke .

" shut up Darcy, you just stood there like a fucking statue and didn't do anything." Kiki replies

" But she's so scary." The other said.

" Uggh" kiki groaned.

" I'm sorrrrrry."

Bunch of idiots.

" Are you okay?" I asked sid who nodded as we walked back upstairs.

" Coco, i..." she started, tears falling down her cheeks profusely.

" It's okay. We'll talk about it tomorrow." I said.

We reached her room and she went out.

Checking my phone, I saw it was 9:15.

Great. I'm late.

 *************************

I stood by the window window and peeped,

" .....And that, my darlings, was how I became a boring professor instead of a world renowned Surgeon..."

The students laughed lightly....

Fuck, Mr. Pierce had already started.

What am I saying? It's 9:30 of course he has.

I spotted the nice senior from earlier.

'your're late' she mouthed when she saw me.

Yeah, no shit.

She motions for me to stay where I was and not move.

"Mr. Pierce." She said, standing up quickly.

"How can I help you, miss Johnson." He said, closing the marker he held.

" I think you've got the fourth step of the solution wrong." She pointed at the board and he turned to face the board, good thing the door was at the back of the class I could easily slip in unnoticed.

" I don't get it." He said..

I had succeeded in sneaking in and getting seated.

" Oh. There wasn't a mistake. My bad." She said with a small smile, sitting down.

" Of course there isn't because nothing gets past me, especially not some tardy student who sneaked her way in the class halfway into the lesson." He stated, his eyes zeroed on me.

Fuck!

Wait a minute, this was the same creepy teacher I saw on my first day.

" Miss Millers, would you like to share with the class why you decided to come thirty minutes into the lesson?" He said, at this point, I'm pretty sure if he had lasers in his eyes, he would have already bored two holes right through my forehead.

" Um...no, I would not?" I said and few students chuckled.

" Very well then, I hope you have a wonderful time in detention!' he said with a huge grin.

" But I —"

" Hush now. Sit, please." He cut in before carrying on with his lesson.

I scoffed, sitting down and drawing my desk loudly. This is so not fair!

"Why does he hate me." I groaned in a whisper.

" Don't worry. Dante's like that, most of the time." Someone said beside me.

" Like what, an ass?" I said, turning to see who it was.

Oh my god.

He laughed softly.

" Evan Hansen?." I said, of course he'll also be in this class.

" That's my name,though I'm not sure I mentioned it." He smiled.

Suddenly, the door creaked open and someone walked in closing it with a loud bang. I couldn't quite see who it was due to the fact that it was nine in the evening and the class has poor lightning.

" This is the third time you're extremely late this week, Mr. Cage. The other two days you didn't show up at all." Mr. Pierce said to the boy who just ran his fingers through his dark hair and sighed.

" Are you done? Can I go sit down?"

That voice.....

"You leave me no choice, boy." Mr. Pierce said, staring at the boy who stared back at him, they seemed to be having a wordless conversation.

"Fine." The boy said, heading to the back and finding a chair in between Evan Hansen and the window. I could see him clearly now.

It was Xavier Cage.

"A picture would last longer." Xavier said, even though he didn't spare me a glance,I knew he was talking to me. I quickly turned my face, causing Evan Hansen to chuckle.

How did he know I was staring?

How long was I staring?.

Eighteen minutes later, class had ended.

" I'm sorry you got in detention." Paris, the nice senior told me as we headed out.

"Yeah, me too." I said and she chuckled, dryly.

" Dante can be a little strict." She said.

" A little?"

" Okay, maybe a lot. But he's a very good teacher though." She said.

"Wait, why do most of you call him, Dante?" I asked.

" Well, most of us have been here since we were freshmen. We just kinda got used to him I guess, he's really kind, almost like a big brother, and he has helped almost all of us one way or another." She says.

" What kind of help." I was curious.

" Well, he's the schools guidance counselor so.."

You have got to be kidding me.

I'd rather tell my problems to a rock.

" Ohhh." I said.

" Yeah but I haven't heard anyone call him Dante to his face, though." She added as we reached the dorms.

" I'm in floor A . What floor are you in?" She asked.

" B. Room 13."

" Room 13?" She said, surprised.

" Yeah." We reached floor B.

" Cool. Well, see you tomorrow."she said, " sorry again." She added going upstairs

I unlocked my door, walking in and locked it behind me before collapsing on the couch.

Exhausted isn't enough to explain how I feel.

Maybe this advanced class was a bad idea after all.

Who needs extra credit anyway?!

 ************************

Riiiiiiiinnnnngggg!

Dang that stupid alarm clock, stretching my arm out to turn it off, I was met with nothing.

Riiiiiiiinnnnngggg!!!

I opened my eyes. Great, I had slept on the couch.

" Ow..ow...ouch.." I winced as I tried to stand up, my neck hurt and I can't feel my left foot.

Quickly undressing, I dragged myself to the bathroom.

Knock knock knock!

I hit the door to Sid's room for the third time. I could hear voices inside though it seems they were getting dressed.

" Tell the teacher I'm sick then...I do not feel like attending classes today." Someone said from inside.

Tell me about it.

The door opened, " yeah?" The girl said.

" Is Sid in?" I asked.

" Who's sid?" She asked.

" Oh my god, Ella!! She's the redhead girl." A girl from inside scolded.

The girl at the door still didn't seem to remember.

" The one that shared her food with us every day last semester." The girl from inside spoke again .

"Oh... Yeah, her." The girl at the door said.

" Why are you looking for her here?" Another girl said from inside.

"Isn't this her room.." I was now confused.

" Of course it is." The first girl said.

" Oh. Oh you mean braces?. Hey, Priscilla, she meant braces." The girl at the door says.

" Yeah, her name is Sidney." The first girl said in a 'duhh' tone.

" Oh, right. She is so weird." The other girl says

" I think she went out."

" Yeah, she left already."

" Hmmm. Thanks." I say and she shut the door in my face.

I knocked again.

" What?" The same girl opened after several seconds.

" If you've been living someone for like...I don't know there years I think the least you could do is know the person's real name, Ella." I say and her eyes widened a bit.

" It's not my fault, most people call her braces, so, her real name didn't really matter." She shrugged.

" But you're right." The first girl who spoke, Priscilla, I think, came to the door.

" We are roommates we should care more and pay attention." She said with a guilty smile.

" Sorry." The girl at the door, Ella, said, looking truly apologetic.

" It's fine. But It's not me you need to tell that." I smiled back.

" Right. Yes. Thank you." She said and I nodded before she closed the door.

That went well.

Now to find Sidney. Where tf could she be?.
