Chapter 14 - Bloodbath in the Forest

The DCU fleet landed just outside the fog of Suchi's territory. The commander that was watching the previous fight was the pilot of the vehicle. However, he was one of the few humans on board. As the fleet opened up, over 100 demons came rushing out. There was one demon that walked out of the fleet and stood near the top of the ramp. This demon was quite large with blades sticking out of his forearms. He had pink skin and three giant eyes. One in his face, and one in each side of his head. The pink demon cleared his throat loudly in an attempt to get the attention of all the demons. It worked as everyone in the area was now looking at him.

"Today, we tie up a loose end, so when I say go, you all attack until that boy is no longer breathing. Is that understood?!" Many of the demons eagerly nodded their heads, ready to attack. "Go," the demon said casually. The demons all hurriedly charged at the fog as if they didn't have any fear. The moment the demons entered the fog, Suchi sensed their presence. Immediately, he used his vines to grab several of the demons, killing them instantly. Still, the numerous attackers were overwhelming. Suchi was able to kill a few of them at a time, yet and still he was still being pushed back. The demons' strength varied. Some of he demons were cutting down the vines coming at them, while other demons were being killed by just being stabbed once. The demons were swarming Suchi. They had closed the distance and started to surround him. Suchi was blocking with his vines but there were so many that he could not stay stationary. He was doing well, killing a lot of the forces, but the power he had to emit was taking a toll on him. Suchi was starting to get tired. One of the demons got through his defenses and managed to stab him in his side. Suchi killed him but was then kicked in the back immediately after the stab. Three more demons attacked at the same time. Suchi barely managed to get his vines up fast enough to block them. Another demon kicked Suchi, sending him flying. The constant attacks were starting to become too much for Suchi. He tried to lean against a tree and simply attack anyone who got close. For a while it worked. No one was able to get close. However, one of the demons was able to circle around and attack through the tree to knock Suchi to the ground. He seemed powerless as multiple demons looked to catch him at once. Suddenly, all the demons were knocked back. Suchi looked up and saw Sinoca and Inamaru standing over him.

"Are you okay, Suchi?" Sinoca asked. Suchi was stunned seeing both of them there.

"What are you guys doing here?" Suchi questioned.

"We saw the fleet landing from our hideout, so we ran here to help," Inamaru explained.

"Okay, but why?" Suchi asked.

"Well, what kind of teammates would we be if we didn't show up for you at a time like this," Sinoca joked. Suchi laughed to himself as he rose to his feet. The other demons were hesitant to attack. They knew of Suchi's strength. If these other two were close to the same level of strength, they'd have little to no chance of defeating them. The pink demon then stood high on one of the trees.

"What are you guys doing?" He asked disappointed. "Attack them."

"But sir..." one of the more coherent demons tried to argue.

"Anyone who tries to retreat will be killed by me," the demon promised. "Now , attack!" The demons tried to attack again, but this time they were completely outmatched. Sinoca was easily slicing through demon after demon. It was as if she was facing stationary targets due to the speed she was exhibiting. Inamaru was getting in on the action well as he was also killing demons one at a time. Suchi, not to be out done, began to attack as well. Understanding that he had already used so much of his energy, he kept it simple as he only attacked with a few vines at a time. He only attacked by stabbing with one and defended himself with the rest. Still, Suchi was killing demons let and right as he made his way closer to the pink demon. As he saw him, he recognized the demon. It was one of the demons that came to recruit his brother. He understood why exactly they sent him here. Suchi didn't know how they found him, but he gathered that it may have been when he killed all the other soldiers. Suchi was afraid, knowing that the demon that was sent was much stronger than him. That distraction left him open to a demons attack, but Inamaru saw this and rushed to his side to save him. After Inamaru killed the demon, he started to shake Suchi.

"Hey, snap out of it man, we are in a battle here," Inamaru said.

"That demon, he's too strong," Suchi said pointing at the pink demon. Inamaru looked at him for a brief moment.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it," Inamaru said. "Right now we have to kill all of these demons in front of us."

"Right, right," Suchi said, gathering his herrings. "Let's do this," Suchi and Inamaru got back in the fray, killing the next 5 demons rather quickly. The commander was right behind the pink demon.

"Do you think we should retreat," the commander asked, "we are losing quite a bit of men."

"Who cares about them they're expendable," the pink demon answered. "I am not leaving until Silver's little brother is slain and that filthy bloodline is extinguished."

"Are you sure? They seem to be pretty strong," the commander questioned.

"If you want to run like a yellow-bellied coward, then be my guest," the demon said before he jumped down to the battlefield. "You guys seemed to have taken out all of my minions, but who's brave enough to take me on."

The trio all huddled up.

"This demon is really strong, I think it's best if we attack him three on one," Suchi recommended.

"It does seem like the safest plan," Inamaru seconded. Sinoca looked at the demon, sizing him up.

"Nah, I can handle this," Sinoca said confidently.

"Are you crazy?" Suchi asked.

"You sure about this Sinoca?" Inamaru asked.

"Yeah I got this," Sinoca said as she walked forward. Suchi started to walk behind her, but Inamaru put his hand on his shoulder.

"She said she got it handled," Inamaru said calmly, "watch her. You'll see why she's so confident."
