The lizard demons were a bit caught off guard when they saw Sinoca barge into the cave and kill two of them so easily. They were immediately on guard as the rest of her team came in. The lizard demons attacked immediately. Suchi tried to restrain them using his vines, but the demons easily cut through them. Sinoca springs into action, blocking two of the demons' attacks. She tried to kick them back, but the demons managed to contort their bodies to avoid the attacks. Sinoca dodged the attacks of the next three demons and managed to jump away from them. Inamaru tried to attack one of the demons. The demon dodged the attack and countered with an uppercut. Inamaru stumbled back. Suchi jumped in front of him, using his vines to try to stab the demon. The demon barely managed to dodge him, but it gave Inamaru the opening to grab the demon. Using his claws, he pierced the demon's skin and stabbed his inner organs. The next demon was about to attack, as Inamaru was left wide open. Suchi managed to attack the demon from behind, stabbing the demon in the heart from behind. Meanwhile, Sinoca was expertly dodging the attacks of all the demons. Although she was faring well against three of the demons, their ability to contort their bodies made it hard for her to counter. It was as if they were fighting in circles. Inamaru and Suchi wanted to help, but they were dealing with the final demon. He had seen how the two of them disposed of his comrade and knew that he had to attack differently. He was much more deliberate with his approach. Because of this, he was able to see each move that Suchi and Inamaru attempted. The two of them were too slow. They were able to cover for each other just enough to keep the other from getting hurt. However, the demon was still able to hit some solid attacks on them. After dodging Suchi's vine. He ducked under Inamaru's claw attack. The miss left him wide open to a lethal kick. The kick sent Inamaru flying into the wall. That left Suchi on an island for a while. He tried to see a high number of vines to stab the demon, but the demon was too fast. Suchi kept backing up. The demon was chasing him down. He dodged three stab attempts and led in with his claws. Suchi dodged four attacks with the claws, but then he was kicked in the stomach. Suchi doubled over. The demon looked to stab Duchi with his claws, butb Suchi used his vines to slow them down. It only worked momentarily as the demon's claws cut through the vines. Suchi continued to run away as fast as he could, looking to gain some distance. The lizard demon did waste a lot of time closing the distance. It seemed that everything Suchi's was doing was only a bandaid for the real problem. The demon looked like he had Suchi stuck, but at the last second, Inamaru returned and tackled the demon. The demon stabbed Inamaru in the side, but Inamaru held the demon down, digging his claws into his arms. As Inamaru held him down, Suchi came from behind and stabbed the demon in the heart. Meanwhile, Sinoca was in the middle of the fight with the other three. The others were working together to keep her at bay. Every time she got the upper hand on one, the other two would come and interrupt her attack. This seemed to go around in a circle until Suchi and Inamaru interrupted, taking one of the demons out together. Because of this, Sinoca got the breathing room she needed. Timing everything just right, she dodged the double team attempt and cut the head of one of the demons. In desperation, the other demon tried to take her out from behind, but Sinoca's balance allowed her to land in a position where she was able to duck under the attack and stab them in the gut. The demon tried to kill her with his last breath, but Sinoca applied pressure to the stab, forcing the demon to bleed out. The battle was over, the team had one. The next day, the team was ready to head out.
"Hey guys, I want to head to the cemetery before we go," Sinoca said.
"Don't take too long, we definitely don't want to waste too much time here," Suchi said. "Tell your ghost friend I said hey." Sinoca chuckled before heading out. The others never admitted that they believed a voice spoke to her, but after Sinoca was right about the hideout, they stopped making jokes about her going there. Sinoca returned to the cemetery. She began to meditate again.
"Hey Peeblo, are you there?" Sinoca asked.
"Hey kid, it's good to hear from you," Peeblo answered.
"Hey Peeblo, I'm happy to announce that we took all the demons out," Sinoca said. "Thanks for giving us the location."
"Really?" Peeblo asked, shocked. "So soon too, wow, thank you so much. Maybe now, my people and I can rest."
"Before you go to rest, would you mind if I asked you a few questions?" Sinoca asked.
"Anything," Peeblo said gleefully.
"Okay, first question, why did you pretend to be the leader?" Sinoca asked.
"Oh so you know," Peeblo said, "how did you figure it out?"
"You power," Sinoca explained. "You must have been the one that's part phantom. That power isn't something you can give to somebody else. I can imagine that the villagers and the demons didn't know, so the villagers treated you as an equal, and the demons killed you with the others."
"You are quite the observant one," Peeblo said. "To be honest, I thought that if I was the leader, it'd be more believable that I was telling the truth. I was afraid just being a citizen wouldn't be enough for you to take action."
"That makes sense, second question, how did you know where the demons were," Sinoca asked.
"The person who gave us these graves was a woman from the village that was away. She used to keep me company," Peeblo said. "Every once in a while, she would come to pay her respects. I overheard it from her."
"I think that's all I wanted to know, Sinoca said.
"Then I have one request," Peeblo said. "I have a niece named Rida. If you can, I would appreciate it if you could find her and have her join you."
"You got it," Sinoca smiled.
"Thank you, Sinoca.
"Don't mention it Peeblo I promise if we find her we'll keep her safe."
