The generals were all surprised to see what happened to their fellow soldiers. They were all wearing down Inamaru. They were sure that soon they would be able to take him out. The appearance of Rida and Kj was an unexpected obstacle. There were six generals left. As they walked forward, Kj and Rida both started to walk towards them.
"Stay there big guy," Rida said, "you did your part. Let us take care of the other bastards." As the two groups faced off, Rida was sizing up the generals. She was thinking about how they should break up the targets.
"Hey Kj, I can take four, can you deal with two of them," Rida asked.
"I'm not with that," Kj said, "I'll take half of them, we should even it out." Rida chuckled as she crossed her blades in front of her.
"Actually, I think I want my share as well," Inamaru said as he walked in between the other two. Rida smiled as she saw him walk back.
"Take one of his, I'm already set on defeating three," Rida said.
"Fine, but he better kill them before I'm done, otherwise I'm jumping in," Kj said. The generals just listened to this team discussing who will fight more members, and we're offended. Their pride started to kick in as they readied their weapons and charged forward. Kj was the first to step up. He dodged the blade attacks of the general in front of him. Then, using his nunchucks, he pulled the blade from the general's hands. He grabbed the blade and in one fell swoop he spun around the general and stabbed him through his back. Killing him. The general that was next to him backed up and started to run for Rida, who already had two people running after her as well. However, as soon as they got in striking range, she disappeared. The generals were looking for her, but it was as if she had vanished. When Rida returned, she was behind two of them, and she stabbed both of them through the heart, killing them. Instantly. The other general over there backed up out of shock. However, he was not fast enough to avoid Rida, who charged in and started smashing at him. He managed to block her first three attacks, but then she pinned the general's weapon and stabbed him. Not to be outdone, Kj charged at the general closest to him. This general was fighting with a staff. He attempted to use the length of his weapon to keep Kj at bay, but Kj was much too fast as he avoided the jab, the sweep and the slash to close the distance. Once again, Kj swiped the general's weapon using his nunchucks. As kj had the staff, he hit the general with a brutal five hit combo that ended with Kj slamming the knight into the ground. The final general standing was fighting against Inamaru. The fight was going back and forth as the general fought with two sais. He attempted to stab Inamaru twice, but Inamaru dodged them both. He then attempted to hit the general with his claws twice. The general did a great job of avoiding the attack. The general attempted to kick Inamaru, but Inamaru blocked it with his arms. Placing his hand on the ground, the general contorted his body as he attempted to kick with the other leg. Inamaru then pushed the general back. Inamaru got on all fours and charged at the general. Inamaru tried to hit the genes with his claws, but the general dodged all three strikes. He then tried to stand Inamaru. Inamaru dodged the first four strikes, but he then caught the ditch attack by letting the Sai go through his hand. Inamaru grabbed the generals and so that he couldn't get away. The general tried to use the other Sai to stab Inamaru, but Inamaru managed to grab his arm. Then Inamaru pulled the general close and took a huge bite out of him, killing him. As the general was bleeding out, Inamaru discarded him.
"Not the prettiest, but it worked out," Rida said as she walked up to Inamaru, who took a seat to catch his breath. "Are you hurt," She asked as she inspected him.
"I'm fine," Inamaru said, turning away. Rida giggled as she looked at him, trying to hide how hurt he was.
"You know if you used your head, you probably would be upright," Rida said.
"Easy to say that when I already did half the work by the time you arrived," Inamaru said, gesturing to the bodies that he left lying on the ground around them.
"Fair point," Rida said, "but you put too much effort in that fight. If you fought a little smarter, you wouldn't have that knife wound.
"Are you guys done," Kj asked, "our job isn't done yet." Both Rida and Inamaru got up.
"What's on your mind kid," Rida asked, walking next to Kj and putting her arm around him.
"Just look," Kj said, pointing at the demons fighting with Suchi and Sinoca. The demons seem to have the upper hand. "They are going to need some help," Kj said.
"It's fine brat," Inamaru said, "you might as well relax and enjoy the show. Sinoca and Suchi won't lose."
"Are we watching the same fight," Kj said. "They are getting slaughtered out there." Rida looked at Inamaru as if to ask if he was sure.
"Trust me, those two won't lose," Inamaru said. "Let them handle it." Kj looked at Rida, who just sighed.
"If the big guy said they can handle it, then we might as well give them a chance," Rida said. "Who knows, maybe they'll surprise us."
"Are you sure about this, Rida?" Kj asked, putting his nunchucks over his shoulder. "I have a lot of energy left, I would love to head in there and take on some demons." Rida put her hand on his other shoulder and shook her head.
"Not this time Kj," Rida said. "This time I want you to just watch. Who knows, you might even learn something." Kj basically pouted with his arms crossed as he sat down.
"Well, they had better win."
