Both Rida and Kj were in shock looking at the two demons that were stained by Sinoca.
"I understand why Gus wanted us to meet you guys," Rida said. "That girl, she is special."
"Yep, if you ask me, she's the key to taking the DCU down," Inamaru said. "So for me, my job is just to help her out as much as I can." Rida smiled as she watched Sinoca walk over to check on Suchi. Then she looks over at Kj.
"You see that kid," Rida says, pointing at Kj, "he's special, more special than any fighter I've ever seen. Not just because he's like a brother to me, but because of how fast he learns and processes things. You know, he's using nunchucks because he saw them in the store last time we visited Gus and thought they looked cool. Moved used nunchucks before in his life. Taught himself how to use them less than 3 weeks from picking them up. He had already mastered using a staff and various blades. It's scary seeing what he could become."
"You know, she's like a little sister to me too," Inamaru admitted, "the closest thing to family I've had since I was a kid. I'll admit, sometimes it's tough to see the gap widening, but there is a level of pride I get seeing her improve as well."
"Maybe we're more alike than I thought," Rida said.
"Maybe we are," Inamaru said, smiling.
Sinoca was checking in on Suchi, who was still having trouble breathing.
"Suchi, are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital?" Sinoca asked. Suchi just laughed.
"I'll be fine Sinoca," Suchi said. I got rocked, but in a few days I'll be back to normal. It's more impressive just how much you continue to grow."
"Don't worry about that right now, we can talk about that later," Sinoca fussed. "Can you stand?"
"Yeah, but I'll need something to support myself."
"That's fine, you can lean on me until we get to Inamaru," Sinoca said, extending her hand. Suchi took it and Sinoca pulled him up. Sinoca put Suchi's arm on her soldier as she started to walk him over to Inamaru and the others. She was surprised to see two more people with Inamaru. Suddenly, they saw Gus going over there to join them. Gus was clapping, which caused the rest of the onlookers to begin clapping as well. Suddenly, the entire city was cheering for Sinoca and the others. Inamaru, Rida and Sinoca all acknowledged and thanked the crowd while Kj put his hood over his head as if he was hiding.
"Good job you guys," Gus said with a huge smile, "come on in, and relax a bit." Inamaru grabbed Suchi and carried him inside the house. As they went into the living room, Inamaru laid Suchi on the couch. Gus' wife started to dress the wounds on everyone as they talked.
"Well, I know you were all in the line of fire together, but I think I should still make the introduction," Gus said, sitting in his chair. He then pointed towards Rida and Kj, who were both sitting on the floor. "This is Rida and Kj," he said, before pointing towards Sinoca, Inamaru and Suchi, "and these three are Inamaru, Suchi and Sinoca."
"It's nice to meet you all," Sinoca said, giving a slight bow.
"The pleasure is all ours," Rida said, doing the same bow. Kj then walked over to Sinoca.
"The way you were fighting, is that your usual style or do you change it?" Kj asked abruptly.
"Well, I tend to use different styles," Sinoca said. She scanned to look at him and noticed that he was carrying nunchucks. "So, how long have you been using those?"
"About three weeks," Kj said casually. "They looked cool, so I wanted to learn how to use them. It's a bit more difficult than I expected. I should be a master in two more weeks."
"You don't think you've mastered it yet?" Inamaru asked in shock, "You disarmed two generals with ease."
"Please, those guys were far from masters, they hardly put any work in," Kj said.
"Kj, we talked about this," Rida said, "things don't come as easily to others as it does to you."
"Anyway, that's impressive that you killed two generals," Sinoca said.
"Thank you," Kj smiled, "but it was really cool how you killed that demon. You were going back and forth, you were able to predict their moves and change directions. It was so cool."
"Yeah, it was pretty impressive," Rida chimed in, "I can see why Gus was so adamant about us meeting you."
"So.....what do you guys do?" Sinoca asked.
"Well, I'm part phantom," Rida said.
"Just like the guy from the graveyard," Sinica muttered to herself.
"Anyway, Kj here his part fire dragon," Rida continued. "We really have just been going around helping those being abused by the DCU."
"Huh," Sinoca said. "Have you ever thought about taking the fight straight to the DCU?" Rida was caught off guard by the question.
"What do you mean?" Rida asked.
"Well, we are training to destroy the DCU, and I would love for you guy to join our team," Sinoca explained. "Based off today, you would fit right in Rida." Rida thought about it for a while.
"That seems like a tall order," she said while chuckling nervously.
"Come on Rida," Kj said, "we should totally do it. You know we are strong enough."
"Actually, I was only asking Rida," Sinoca said. "Sorry Kj, you just seem a little too young for something like this."
"It doesn't work like that," Rida answered, "we are a packaged deal. If you want me, you take us both."
"Really, you don't think he's....too young?" Sinoca asked.
"We laid our terms," Rida said. "It seems like a lot, but Kj thinks we can do it, so I'm willing to try, but that is with both of us, and if I feel you guys are leading us to our death, we will bail. Now, do we have a deal?" Rida had her hand out for Sinoca to shake. Sinoca looked back at her team.
"I think it'll be fine," Inamaru said. "In action, those two are more than powerful enough to keep up." Sinoca turned her head to Suchi.
"We can certainly use them, and if Gus vouches for them, then that's good enough for me," Suchi said. Sinoca sighed.
"Okay, deal," Sinoca said, shaking Rida's hand. "Welcome to the team."
