It took a while for everyone to process what had just happened. It was rare to see his level of power. It was much more surprising that this person that had them trapped and powerless, decided to let them go.
"Hurry and leave this place!" The man demanded. The demons didn't wast any time leaving. Even Inamaru was intimidated by the display that they had just seen. However, one person stayed back. Sinoca stood there, seemingly unafraid.
"Is there a reason you are still here?" The demon asked.
"May I know your name please?" Sinoca asked. The demon turned his back to Sinoca, he started to walk away. "I just want to thank you properly," Sinoca said as she started to walk behind him. Suddenly, multiple vines rose up to attempt to grab Sinoca. She reacted fast enough to block all of them without cutting them completely. The demon stopped walking.
"You didn't cut them off," the demon said, surprised.
"Well, you're obviously a hung nature lover," Sinoca answered. "As strong as you are, it wouldn't be wise to damage your plants if I don't have to." The demon was impressed with Sinoca's restraint, as well as her strength.
"Suchi," the demon answered.
"Suchi? Is that your name?" Sinoca asks. Suchi didn't answer. "Well Suchi, I'm Sinoca. Thank you so much for saving our lives," Sinoca said with a smile. Not even turning around, Suchi nodded.
"See you tomorrow!" Sinoca said before running towards the exit.
"Wait, what?" Suchi said, looking back, but Sinoca was already gone. "I must have misheard her." Suchi sat down and began to meditate. Unbeknownst to him, the chips in the uniforms the DCU generals were wearing continued to send out a signal. So the DCU had heard exactly what happened to their men and were now planning accordingly.
Sinoca had finally rejoined the others outside the fog. Inamaru was pacing waiting for her.
"Sinoca, what were you doing in there?" Inamaru asked. "We thought he might have killed you."
"As you can see, I'm fine," Sinoca answered. "I simply wanted to ask Suchi his name." The others all looked at each other.
"He told you his name?" one of the demons asked.
"Yeah, it took a little bit of work, but I managed to get it out of him," Sinoca answered.
"Why did you even want his name?" Inamaru asked.
"Well, he did save us you know, it's only right to thank him," Sinoca answered. The other demons seemed to understand and agree with this sentiment, even wishing they could go in and thank him properly. However, Inamaru was not buying her reasoning.
"That's not an answer," Inamaru said. "Why did you want to know his name?"
"Let's give these guys the location of the nearest rebel camp first," Sinoca said. Inamaru begrudgingly agreed. They wrote down the location of the nearest rebel camp and gave the location to the others. As the demons went on their way, they waved goodbye as Sinoca and Inamaru did the same. The moment the others were out of earshot, Inamaru continued with the last conversation.
"OK, now spill it, why did you want to talk with that demon?" Inamaru asked. Sinoca sighed, realizing that he wasn't going to give up.
"Okay fine," Sinoca aid. She began to twiddle her thumbs and look down. "I was just thinking he would be the perfect person to join our team." Inamaru just stared at her blankly.
Sinoca.....are you nuts?" Inamaru finally asked. "He just tried to kill us. We know nothing about him. It's much too dangerous for us to trust him with something this big."
"I know it's risky, but I just have a feeling that he's supposed to be on this team," Sinoca said. "I mean, you saw how strong he is. That could be a total game changer for us by adding a powerhouse like this. He did tell me his name, and he did let us go."
"He also threatened to kill us when he did," Inamaru responded.
"That's just because he was worried about his plants," Sinoca reasoned. "I'm sure I can convince him to join us." Inamaru stared at Sinoca for a while, as if he was contemplating how to phrase his next question. "What is it?" Sinoca asked.
"Where is your head right now?" Inamaru asked.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, why are you so adamant about adding this guy to the team?" Inamaru asked. "It seems to me like it has less to do with his ability to help us, and more about what you can get from him. You sure you don't just have a crush on this guy." Sinoca scoffed at Inamaru, offended.
"This coming from someone who hits on half the girls in the rebel camps," Sinoca shot back.
"Yeah, but I don't invite them to join us in our ultimate mission," Inamaru answered.
"None of them are strong enough to be a part of the team anyway," Sinoca argued.
"You're deflecting," Inamaru accused.
"Listen here, dimwit, my interest in Suchi is purely based on his fighting prowess," Sinoca said, "now so I have your blessing to pursue this or not." Inamaru and Sinoca starred at each other for a while before Inamaru sighed.
"Fine, it's not like I can stop you anyway," Inamaru answered. "Just be careful, don't get yourself killed, okay."
"Don't worry, I won't die until we defeat the DCU," Sinoca assured him. They then went and found a place to make a hideout for the next few days. The next day, Sinoca returned to the forest. The moment Sinoca arrived, the vines once again attempted to grab her. Sinoca managed to dodge every vine, and eventually neutralized them without killing them.
"What are you doing back here?" Suchi asked, coming out of the fog.
"I told you I'd be back," Sinoca said, smiling.
"Not what I asked," Suchi responded.
"Okay, okay," Sinoca said, putting her hands up. She then took a deep breath. "So I'm putting together an elite team to take out the DCU, and I want you to join the team."
"Go home," Suchi said, "I'm not interested in suicide missions.
"It's not suicide, we've actually seen a bit of success already.
"Really, because when I met you, you had over 20 generals on your tail and your team was about to die," Suchi answered.
"So you have some information on the DCU already," Sinoca said, to which Suchi didn't respond, prompting Sinoca to continue talking. "Anyway, only one of those guys was actually on the team, the others were the rebel group we were working with. The ten I'm putting together is a little different. It's a smaller unit that works with all the rebel groups to bring the DCU down."
"Km not interested, please leave," Suchi said. Sinoca stood there for a moment before she started to walk away.
"I know you are supposed to be on this team, Suchi," Sinoca said, "I'm not honing up. I'll come by every day until you agree to come with us."
