'H-He what?'
Salvador was beyond baffled- He finds out Malo is someone who will bring an end to Locha, and he killed Lance?
'He killed him, as I said. The end of the Locha continent is inevitable.
He's 60 years old and is on track to becoming a Tenth Force Knight, unless undeniable proof is gathered against him or he somehow dies, no one can stop him. Although he received a supposed catastrophic injury that would at least render him a cripple, he miraculously recovered and was even more powerful than before.'
Salvador mustered up even more questions as she spoke, but discarding the others, he asked the one nagging him the most. 'Were you also inside Lance's body?'
The voice went silent and sighed. 'I'm confused at how you came up with that assumption, but yes, I was. That is why you feel hostility toward Malo. Our very beings are linked.'
Salvador inwardly nodded. 'If no one else can stop him, can we?' Salvador asked.
The two's conversation went still for a moment.
Salvador watched the battle even if he couldn't even see them moving, the sparks and rumbles from the battle were still being emitted as blows connected.
The arena was in a state of total disarray.
The ground was uplifted, and rocks sporadically shot out from the arena or caved in from the severe power. Rubble was scattered everywhere, there was no even ground. 'Perhaps. But there are multiple risks.
First off, there is early awakening. Rather a double-edged sword. Sure, it could lead to a few more years of cultivation and development, but if you do it too early it could do more harm than good.
Unfortunately, it happened to Lance when he was six. Despite being crippled for nearly three years, his supreme talent made up for it.
Second, as you grow stronger, you'll eventually gain recognition and then it'll come out that you're-'
Salvador instantly cut her off. 'I'm Lance's son. As soon as I realized you knew Lance I knew it instantly. I even look like him!' He jokingly said.
'You aren't wrong. But as I said, once that comes out you'll have countless corrupt nobles, Demons, and Malo himself after you. I know you're thinking that we could just hide our power but it wouldn't work. If it's revealed you were hiding your power, it'd be worse for both of us.'
Salvador didn't know what to make of the situation.
He sat in complete silence with his chin in his hand. Unlike his fellow spectators, he wasn't cheering at all, he rather seemed bored.
'Again, I know what you're thinking, well everything to be fair. It does suck that your family lied to you, but you'll have to deal with that later in your life. Second, it isn't public that Lance had a son, but the higher echelons know, and most importantly the Demon Army and the corrupt nobles I talked about. There are few people that I would let you trust, one of them surely being Jaxon.'
Salvador inwardly nodded in response.
Suddenly, he felt a giant hand smack him on the shoulder.
Salvador shifted his body and he saw a gigantic man with a messy beard that dangled just below his neck. "Hey, buddy! Why are you so gloomy! C'mon!" He eagerly cheered him up, after all, who would be so cranky when observing a battle between such powerful beings?
Salvador smiled and jumped up. "Thank you, Sir."
The man also stood up, and to Salvador's surprise, he stood at a staggering seven feet. He was wearing a thin tank top with baggy brown pants.
"You can call me Vural!"
William turned around and spoke to the man, "Thank you for cheering him up, he's been rather a bit moody lately."
The massive man released a boisterous laugh in response. "No worries young one! Every day should be a good day!"
Before the three could talk, loud sirens screamed out.
Immediately, the erected mana walls shattered, dissipating into the air filled with dust from the arena ground.
As the dust subsided, one fighter had a blade parallel to their neck, while their opponent was weaponless.
Salvador's eyes widened for a second before speaking to the voice in his head. 'I guess you're right...'
Malo lunged over, the blade belonging to his spear hovering just above Jaxon's neck and collarbone.
As if they traveled back in time to when the notification was made, the crowd exploded in another cheer full of gaiety. 'Man this really hurts my ears...' Salvador remarked with an internal sigh. 'Oh right! What should I call you, the voice in my head?'
'Isora, the name Lance gave me.'
Salvador nodded.
"Hey, Salvador! Let's go! I wanna take you to the museum before Nico's fight!" William shouted out, grabbing Salvador by the arm.
'Shit! What do we do?' Salvador panicked, if someone could help him and Isora, he would surely want to befriend them.
'Don't panic, we'll find him eventually today.'
Salvador calmed down and followed his brother.
The two had to maneuver through a compact crowd of people. Similar to them, they were heading out for a short food or restroom break while the arena repaired itself and the next fight was prepared.
"Hey, fellas!"
The brothers turned around in unison, both gazing into the eyes of Vural. "Let me buy food for you guys!"
William kindly declined the men offer, explaining to him that they were actually going to explore the museum.
"You act like I can't buy you food then explore!"
William could only nod as the stubborn man was not giving up.
"Well, let's go get some food!"
The man pushed them forward through the doorway. Due to his great size, he could easily make some more room for the two brothers to comfortably walk through.
Their walking speed increased by a considerable amount and they would have far more time to explore!
"So, why are you guys here?" Vular couldn't help but ask. "You guys are in the V.I.P. section and you surely aren't rich."
William nodded his head. "You're right, we aren't rich. Our brother, Nico, is here for his assessment for the Third Force Knight rank. Because of it, we earn free V.I.P. spots."
The man displayed a shocked expression, exaggerating it by widening his eyes and making his mouth into an O shape.
"Ooh! Very nice indeed!"
William replied with the same question but aimed at Vular. "Same as yours, except my sister. I don't know if you were there when she won, but she's Yoran Vilachor."
Salvador immediately turned his head and for some reason; started fanboying.
"Oh!!! That last strike she did was so brutal but cool as hell!" He exclaimed, shooting his hand toward the sky.
Despite being mentally old, in a new world of magic and infinite possibilities, he couldn't help but have that youthful excitement return.
"Yeah yeah, she's strong. She's also here for her assessment of a Sixth Force Knight and Forth Force Mage."
The face of the young boy lit up after hearing her mage rank. "She really is strong! I might add that knee and elbow combo to my arsenal when I fight!"
Vular and William both laughed at what Salvador said. "Unfortunately for you, Mother and Father said they won't let you fight." He truthfully stated.
Salvador was aware of this, but of course, he wasn't going to listen.
"When they see my amazing talent, they won't be able to do anything BUT let me fight!" Salvador jokingly commented, puffing out his chest while shrugging his shoulders.
"Aha, You wish." William retorted with a giggle.
Eventually, the three made it to a medium-sized shop stand with freshly cooked hotdogs rotating on some metal bars, just like back on Earth.
"Two copper coins each!" The man behind the stand loudly stated.
Out of thin air, six copper coins appeared in Vular's hand.
"Here you go." He said with a smile.
With fast movements, he quickly handed the three hotdogs to the trio with a glee grin on his face. "Enjoy!"
The three left the stand and strode over to the weapons area of the museum; everyone's favorite.
Because in this area was Lance's primary sword in Combat, 'Brance's Will'. Of course, there were plenty of other extraordinary swords but that sword took the spotlight.
'Alright, we're here!' Isora calmly read the thoughts of Salvador and slightly trembled as Brance's Will was brought up.
Salvador could feel the tremble and tried his best to reassure her. 'We'll see it, or not if you wouldn't want to.'
Isora giggled a bit at his attempt of reassuring him. 'Don't worry, I'm fine. But even I'm curious, so let us explore!'
