After passing a few rooms, he eventually stopped in front of the 514th room.
With three light knocks, a small click resounded from the door's nob and it was opened, revealing Jaxon.
He looked at the butler and smiled and the butler dismissed himself with a bow. Jaxon stepped to the side and opened his door all the way, revealing his luxurious room with an impeccable view over a side of the capital. The bustling streets could perfectly be seen from the window.
A torrent of people walked in both directions, and a myriad of buildings firmly stood below. "Do you guys like the view? I reserved this room just for it."
Eleanor nodded her head in satisfaction, "It's great." She answered.
"Good," Jaxon replied with a smile.
"I assume you all know why you're here?" He asked to make sure.
Everyone turned their heads from Jaxon to Salvador, then back. "Yes, we do," Yves stated.
Jaxon pulled out four chairs that belonged to a dining table that was attached to the wall. "Please, sit."
They did as he requested, sitting in the luxurious golden chairs with puffy seat, which was indeed comfy.
Jaxon took a seat himself.
Before he began speaking he sighed and rubbed his face in stress due to the current circumstances.
"Well, to begin, we already know that Salvador is the son of my brother." He said as he turned his eyes to Salvador.
For some reason, Salvador froze when he said this as if he felt like another shock was going to come to his family.
"The only reason Salvador is alive today is that Lance's friend, Isora, carried him to your guys' house."
Eleanor let out a small gasp and Yves's expression faltered. "Where is this Isora?"
Jaxon smiled again and peeked at Salvador.
As if they were communicating through looks, Salvador commanded Isora to come into the real world; and so she did.
From his temple, a deformity was created for a split second before a small metallic ball with wings fluttering at immense speeds came out of his head.
Salvador could see Eleanor's and Yves's shocked expressions from the corner of his eye. His mom's jaw nearly dropped and her eyes were wide; Yves had a simple shocked expression.
Salvador itched the back of his head and nervously chuckled. "H-Has it has always been in you?" Eleanor said, her voice pure of shock.
Salvador nodded. "She's been in my body since she dropped me off at your doorstep. I didn't know she was in my body until the day we went to the dome building and I awakened."
Eleanor nodded in acceptance. Yves reached his hand over and started rubbing her back to comfort her.
Salvador's stomach was churning as he waited in dread at the numerous possibilities of the short future.
"Mkay. There are some things you guys have to do as much as you can.
First off, don't tell anyone that Salvador is Lance's son. The longer we can keep this a secret the better."
Eleanor flicked her head to Jaxon, filled with worry. "W-Why?"
Jaxon's face softened and his eyes narrowed. "Lance had multiple enemies. Most of which are Demons and other humans... Like nobles, gang and faction leaders, and other things. And worst of it all, the one who killed him is alive and a part of the Demon army."
Everyone sat in silence. Eleanor was on the verge of tears. Even if Salvador was adopted, that did not stop her from thinking of him as her own Son, so when hearing that her son could be targeted she couldn't help but be frightened and immensely worried.
Nico and William of course had frowns, along with Yves. "And that isn't the worst part. If something happens which is very likely to occur, he'll be able to ruin Locha from within, and eventually slaughter all of Locha and enslave them."
Jaxon's voice was wobbly and fluctuating, his jaw clenching at the impending doom. "The only one who would be able to have the power to stop him is..." The man didn't have to complete his sentence for those around to realize who he was talking about.
"S-Salvador? He's only, what, three?"
Jaxon reached out his hand to stop Nico from going on. "I know, but the occurrence will be in nearly twenty years or more. We have plenty of time to develop Salvador. I will train him in both swordsmanship and magic, that will be the only way he can defeat this opponent and the Demon army."
Again, Salvador's heart fluttered at the thought of gaining unparalleled power. His hand faintly trembled as he thought of killing Malo and the Demon army, his eyes forming into those belonging to a lunatic. "Starting next week, I will train him. I know it sounds way too early, but trust me. He'll be able to push through it as it will only be light. If he can mentally keep up, that's good. If not, he simply isn't meant to be the one to stop the man." Jaxon indifferently stated.
Salvador didn't deny this; He knew if he couldn't make it through training, he couldn't stop Malo.
"Of course, I will also be training his brother, Nico. He has talent and I witnessed it myself." Nico's face brightened and his parents were shocked. "At the dome. He ran with the speed equivalent to a Fifth Force Knight as a Third Force Knight.
Under my guidance, he will surely be able to harness that speed and even improve it."
Jaxon flicked his eyes to William. "Unfortunately, I can't train the other one due to his damaged mana core."
William released a sigh. He wasn't sure what he was hoping for, but it did suck to practically get told you have no worth.
"I will give you all a necklace and bracelet. One is a protection bracelet. It will completely defend itself from any attack below a Fourth Order Existence five times. A Fifth Order twice, and a Sixth only once, although you will attain injuries."
On cue, the same butler from before stepped in carrying two matte black boxes.
He stepped in front of Jaxon and handed him the two boxes which he promptly opened.
Upon opening the first box, a bright silver pendant could be seen with a ruby embedded into it. Jaxon picked it up with his finger and it drooped down. "And this the bracelet that connects with a necklace that will give off a mana signature that only we can discern. It will activate as the bracelet's defensive mechanisms gets triggered."
Jaxon handed everyone a singular bracelet that seemed to fit them perfectly.
As soon as Salvador touched it, a notification popped up in his vision.
