Chapter 3 - Werewolf and Witch

Noah might be able to take care of the wolves outside but he could never win against Vincent. The big black wolf suddenly appeared behind them.

Vincent wasn't in a hurry now, he knew Alice and Noah had no chance of escaping. Vincent aimed for Alice, approaching her slowly. He was quite confident that there would no longer be anyone who would help the blonde woman.

Vincent just forgot there was still one more person who liked to oppose him.

A gray wolf jumped up out of nowhere and charged into Alice. He pounced on Alice, taking her away from Vincent.

Alice could feel the large teeth around her waist, the teeth of a wolf. She was like a pile of lunch in the gray wolf's mouth. The slightest bit of pressure might crush her in this wolf's mouth. Surprisingly that didn't happen.

The wolf brought down Alice after getting far enough from Vincent. They looked at each other. Alice could sense that this gray wolf wasn't planning to pounce on her. This wolf was trying to help her.

Vincent roared even more furiously at who had come to steal his lunch. The gray wolf turned away from Alice and returned to confront Vincent. The fight between the two is unavoidable.

It was between clawing claws and biting each other. Everyone knows who will be the winner. Vincent is the Alpha, he has defeated dozens of other werewolves and rose to the top for years. Unfortunately the fight this time did not belong to Vincent. He probably made the mistake of fixating on his emotions and wild instincts, giving the calm gray wolf an opening to attack him.

The gray wolf managed to bite one of Vincent's arms (his front legs), making the black wolf limp. With that the gray wolf got the upper hand in this fight and he managed to knock Vincent down.

Vincent was barely able to move after being hit hard. The gray wolf approached him slowly, looking ready to finish Vincent off and end his life.

t

"Jacob, enough! Vincent can't stand up anymore. He can't fight you anymore." Noah was standing over Vincent.

This was a huge opportunity that no wolf could possibly pass up. If he manages to finish off Vincent then he will move up the ranks and become an Alpha. Even now, the pack would probably question Vincent's position.

The gray wolf snorted, apparently not intending to finish Vincent off. He just didn't want Vincent to hurt the woman, the innocent woman. The gray wolf, turning to Alice, checked the woman's condition. After seeing that the woman was fine he let out a long roar before his massive form disappeared.

Alice was sure the wolf had transformed into a human. A man. Alice wanted to see what he looked like, to see the man who had helped her. But before she could even stand up, her consciousness was snatched away from her.

When she woke up and opened her eyes Alice found herself in another place again. A dark room she wished was a place in Wonderland.

Alice tried to move her hand to brush her hair. Her hand was caught just before it made it to the top of her face. Alice then noticed that there were cold shackles wrapped around her wrists. Damn! Not only one side, both her wrists chained.

The sound of metal chains clashing against the stone bed made a noise in the middle of the night. Warn people outside that their prisoner is awake.

The iron door far in front of Alice opened with a loud and conspicuous sound. Alice stopped moving. "Who is there?"

Something or someone walked closer to Alice. Its figure didn't look very clear under the moonlight. Alice only knew it was a man.

"Are you awake?" Alice was sure she had heard his voice.

"Can you let me go?" she asked.

"Why should I let you go?" the person asked again.

"Why am I chained? What did I do wrong?" Alice tugged at the chain, half frustrated.

"You are not a werewolf… right?"

"What is a werewolf?"

"I take that as an answer. You are definitely not a werewolf, you don't look like us. You look more like a Vampire but… I don't smell the slightest bit of blood. You smell like cold snow."

"My smell?" Alice sniffed her own body. She couldn't smell anything but her own sweat. Where did the smell of snow come from? It's already the end of spring.

"I know exactly, you're neither a goddess nor a fairy. So, there are only two choices left, are you the Erasmus or the Witch?"

"Witch?" Where exactly is Alice? "I'm human like you."

"Um, no, you're wrong honey. I may look like a human in this condition, but I'm just like the creature you saw this afternoon."

"The creature from this afternoon, you mean the big wolves?" Alice thought she was out of there. Apparently she was still stuck in a different world.

"Then just pretend I'm just like you," Alice coaxed.

"No way, you don't even know who we are. I'm afraid you're not Erasmus either. We should be quite famous in the kingdom so you should know who we are. I've never met a witch before. People say witches are ugly, even if they look good, it must be because of their spell. So I'll assume you're a witch."

[ Well, whatever you said. ]

There are other things that are more important, "then can you let me go?"

"No. I don't believe in witches. How about you cast a spell on me after I let you go?"

"I won't do it."

"You could have tricked me."

[ Is this person actually smart or stupid? He's not consistent at all. ]

"Come on, even if you let me go, I can't bewitch you." Alice clearly couldn't bewitch anyone, how to explain it? "I… don't hold a magic wand."

[ I don't know, are the magicians here still wearing wands? ]

In her mind, Alice imagined an ugly old woman with a sharp nose, a tall black hat with a wand and a broom.
