The Wisconsin restaurant was one of the most widely known restaurants in the city of Washington DC in the new world. It was located east of the police station and a little past downtown. It was the perfect spot for Detective Miller to pop in with his partner and have a light breakfast before returning to work.
He drove in silence until they arrived at the Wisconsin restaurant. Then, he pulled over in the driveway and hopped out of the car. Detective Cooper followed suit. Her hair was held up in a tussled bun, evidence that she had not taken time to tend to it before leaving for work earlier that day.
Detective Miller watched her closely, a thoughtful look on his face. There was a sad look in her eyes and when he looked inwards into them, he saw a distant look in them too. He was convinced Rachel was lost in another world of her own which he was not yet a part of.
