Isabella waited for the effect of the words he'd uttered to simmer down before she reacted in any way. What he'd said was like dropping a bombshell in the middle of an ocean. It did not have an effect on everyone in the top secret laboratory but it had just rocked her world to the core.
Her silence sent a clear message to Dr. Sanchez and he probed her about it at once. "Surely, you don't think we should do otherwise, do you?"
Isabella's face hardened. "I don't know. I still cannot help but wonder if things would have turned out differently if you had just listened to me and tried to cure this woman of whatever evil you injected into her."
She was speaking faster now. "Nevertheless, I still don't think it's too late. Vlad Keddrick has long legs, doesn't he? All he has to do is offer to take this woman and hand her over to us to find out what exactly is wrong with her and save her life."
