Chapter 1 - *

The tragic story of (y/n) started when her quirk first manifested. Much unlike her peers and other people who developed a quirk at the age of 4-6, (y/n) only gained hers when she was 9. When she got her first period. This is important because her quirk was very much different- dare I say dangerous- to (y/n) herself.

Her quirk? To put it simply- which it was everything but- the more a person that thought she was attractive, the more power over that person she had. This quirk made everyone attracted to (y/n) even if it was the smallest amount possible. This had terrible repercussions for (y/n). She hadn't wanted this quirk, she never asked for anything like it. She was fine not having a quirk- this had ruined her life.

Men and women alike always tried to get her attention. Some taking an actual gentlemanly or womanly approach. Others used a jackass approach of the 'nice guy' which always ended in the person insulting (y/n) to the point she had to completely block them and sometimes their friends if they too supported their friend in insulting her. It got to a point where her parents made (y/n) delete any and all social media apps and change her Apple ID password, they controlled what (y/n) would have on her phone. No social media, no one on her contact list until confirming with her parents and absolutely no pictures posted anywhere

The people left who didn't take the approach mentioned above, stalked her. The stalkers would either watch her from a long distance and wouldn't talk or ever come in contact with her, or the worst thing ever; they would follow her around and used every method under the sun to try to get (y/n) interested in them. Some slipping love notes, which were more of love threats, into her locker or bag.

It was all too much for the girl when she first got her quirk, she was only 9. Her parents pulled her out of school, enrolling her in online classes.

The next year, when she was 10, (y/n) had experimented with her quirk. How it ticked and what made it worse or better. Better being toning down the attraction people felt towards her. It seemed like her parents were the only ones who wouldn't be affected by the powerful quirk.

After (y/n) grew depressed from never leaving the house her parents came up with a compromise, (y/n) could go on runs with the following terms; only going after she turned 11, wearing a face mask or even two surgical masks to cover her whole face, wearing reflective glasses so her eyes couldn't be seen. Leggings or sweatpants had to be baggy and not show her body shape. Her breasts had to be covered with a size too small sports bra, a baggy men's workout shirt with a high neckline. On top of all of that, every hour (y/n) had to call one of her parents to check in with them.

Her parents even went as far as to make (y/n) sign a contract that said she would abide by the rules. Thanks to her dad being a lawyer he was able to create an (almost) legal contract that (y/n) would have to conform to.

This form of working out and running had been what (y/n) needed to feel somewhat normal and content in her life. She finally had freedom, though it was controlled (she ignored that part), -to be a person included in society. Months had gone by without any problems, that was until the fifth month in.

(Y/n) was on the normal path she ran when she wanted to get out of the house. She started with a one-mile run and worked her way up to seven miles, focusing on endurance rather than speed. She was on her fourth mile and feeling tired and ready to start walking soon. That's when it happened. It was fast but slow and torturing at the same time.

She was pulled into an isolated area of the dirt path. Her weak state made it easy to get her to comply with barely any fight. A man, who looked like he was in his mid-thirties or forty's, had been the one to grab her off the path.

"Listen up little bitch, I don't want to have to do this the hard way so do what I say." He had (y/n) cornered with trees behind her. She nodded her head fast as it would allow her. "When I talk to you, you answer!" He tore the mask from her mouth.

"Ye-yes!" She was waiting for the mugger to drool over her and she thought that maybe when that happened she would be able to escape unharmed. But nothing happened.

"Give me all you fucking have! Phone, money, jewelry, all of it! Hurry the fuck up!" (Y/n) was scared and couldn't think about anything other than getting out of this alive. However, even if she did, the man was covering his whole face except his mouth and eyes so she had no way to identify him.

(Y/n) ended giving him her bracelets that were worthless, her gold plated triangle earrings, her gold plated necklace chain that held one pink pearl that she got from her family. The sentimental value of the necklace, along with it being stolen would scar (y/n) forever.

"Give me your glasses, I know they're Chanel!" He was right. On the side of the chunky glasses, that covered her eyes was the logo for the famous brand.

(Y/n) quickly gave them to the nervous but enraged man who, (y/n) only noticed now due to the fear of being entrapped, that he had a gun in his left hand. She was quicker to rip the glasses off and hand them shakily to the mugger.

But it dropped to the ground along with everything else. The gun had bounced on the floor shooting (y/n) on the side of her stomach and not exiting on the other side. The scream of pure and unadulterated hurt probably rang for miles around.

"I can't believe I tried to rob such a beautiful girl... I can't believe that I shot you. I'll call an ambulance for you princess, but I can't wait with you. I have to go darling." It was sickening to hear the man call her names if endearment. (Y/n) finally felt the rush of adrenaline fade only a bit making the pain worsen. She gripped her side to stop the blood that was seeping out at a fast pace. Her gray pants had been extremely stained by her blood.

(Y/n) looked at the man, gagging when she met his eyes. "Leave now, I will feel better when you do. You want me happy right?" He nodded and took off sprinting in the direction that (y/n) was running in.

Once the man was out of her sight, (y/n) threw up. There was only the oatmeal and banana breakfast she had that morning. After she had finished emptying her stomach, she used the tree behind her to get up on her shaking knees. She picked up her things and put them in her pocket and up her glasses on to try to have some control when she needed help. Her arms started to get scratched up from the jagged bark. She used the short cut from the path, cutting through all of the untouched woods. What normally would've been a 5-minute walk turned into 12 minutes of pure stumbling.

(Y/n) had finally found the cement sidewalk and collapsed on the grey floor. Red instantly flooding on the right side of her. Her knees were going to bruise badly from her falling hard on them. She instantly threw up again, only this time she saw red mix with clear bile.

"HELP PLEASE!" She was only able to get out those two words. Her throat was shaking and her mouth-watering in a way that signaled that was about to be sick again.

More blood flowed out when she screamed. Every breath was agonizing and made more blood flow.

It was seconds later that a couple and walked down the same sidewalk that (y/n) was laying down on.

"OH MY GOD! Honey are you okay? Can you hear me? Karou call the paramedics now!" Others hearing the woman yelling and the man freaking out, gathered around to see what was happening.

No one was prepared to see a young girl laying on her back with her head on the lady's lap. They weren't prepared to see the amount of blood around her and pooling on the cement. They weren't prepared to see the woman helping her to stop the bleeding. They weren't prepared to see the child's blood on her hands, arms, and legs. They weren't prepared when they stepped in the blood that had yet to even begin to dry.

More people had gathered that anyone who walked by joined to see what was going on. Karou was getting frustrated by the amount of time the operator had said it would take to get to the girl, she could be dead by then

"PLEASE! Is there a doctor!" The woman, Darline, yelled hoping that someone would help keep her alive long enough that she would make it through.

No one stepped forward who was a doctor. However, one of the women took off her heels and sprinted down the streets. She was frantically yelling at every street and as loud as possible. "PLEASE! IS THERE A PRO HERO! WE NEED HELP! PLEASE! IS THERE A PRO HERO! WE NEED URGENT HELP! PLEASE-" her yelling had finally reached a pro hero agency. About 4 or so heroes ran out of the building to aid the distressed woman, who was clearly in a frenzy.

"What's wrong! Is there a villain attack?" One came up to the lady who was barefoot and crying. She was an utter mess but there was more at hand then any of the heroes could've guessed.

"Please come with me! Please just follow me!" The traumatized woman grabbed the arm of the hero ____ and pulled him forcefully in the opposite direction that she had come from. "Please! We need to be fast! Please!" The hero let her pull him as he ran just a bit ahead of her so she was able to lead. The other six hero's followed close behind. It only took the woman about five minutes to get the heroes and make it back.

The heroes saw the huge crowd and frantic yelling of a woman. The hero's pushed through people in the back before the people in the front gave them room.

The woman who found the pros stood next to the woman that had the girl in her lap.

"Oh my god! What happened?" The pro hero Midnight looked for something to stop the blood other than the woman and another man's hands.

"We don't know! We found her like this and it's almost been 10 minutes. The ambulance won't be here for another 10 minutes if we're lucky. You have to save her!"

The woman was in tears too, for she had a daughter too. She was only 3 but if anything happened even remotely close to this tragedy, she would never recover as her mother. She knew this was someone's daughter, she knew that she needed to keep the young girl alive, her the child's sake but also for her parents.

"Does anyone have a jacket or flannel or anything like that!" Every person who had another layer of clothes handed it to the front line of citizens.

The pro hero ____ had grabbed a flannel and used the sleeves to tie it around the wound which would slow down the bleeding more than it was before.

(Y/n) shifted on the woman's lap as pain erupted from her side. (Y/n) had gripped Darline's leg with a tight grip but with no real power behind it. Thankfully that (y/n) had moved and showed signs that she was alive. Pro hero ____ pressed his fingers to her neck then her wrist.

"There is a pulse but I can barely feel it... I don't know how much time she has left."

The woman who had called for the hero's sobbed into another woman who had opened her arms to her.

"We need to give her space! Everyone move back!" The remaining two Pros who weren't directly helping the girl helped create a barrier that gave the girl plenty of feet away from people so she didn't feel suffocated.

"I- ... ws... sot..." the child whispered out. Her words didn't make sense but the people around her were able to understand.

"If she was just shot, it wouldn't explain the amount of blood she is losing." ___ said, continuing the first aid.

"Who the fuck would shoot a child! Who would try to kill her!" Karou shouted in anger. He punched the tree that was directly behind him.

"Sir, anger isn't going to help her. We don't need you hurting yourself."

"How can you say that when you swore to protect us! You are too busy posing for magazines too actually help! If you were actually protecting us and not sitting in your offices this could've been avoided!" Another man had chimed in. It seemed like there was going to backlash for every hero because of this.

"She's a child! She shouldn't have to be on the verge of death! Why can't you do your job! You're sure paid enough!" More people started to voice their opinion.

The heroes didn't know what to say. They couldn't defend themselves as a child was dying In front of them.

"I shouldn't have had to run for 5 minutes or scream to find a hero! Hero's who came from their offices! Where are the heroes protecting us in the streets?"

People had been recording the scene since the pros had shown up. The videos would be shared over the internet, the news would have a field day, and people would be more open about what they thought about heroes.

The blaring sound of the ambulance sirens had halted the verbal attack on the heroes. People had cleared a path faster than they did for the pro heroes. Four EMTs were pushing a gurney to the edge of the cement where they could get it so they wouldn't have to shake the dying girl.

"She was shot! She's been like this for maybe 20-25 minutes! My husband and I found her after she had collapsed. I don't know how much time she was laying and bleeding." Darline said. The EMT's grabbed the girl and set her on the gurney. Darline helped keep her head straight as they lifted the girl off of her lap.

"We can take it from here." The EMT was short with the people around, she was more preoccupied with saving the child's life.

"I have to go with her! She can't be alone! We don't know her name or her parents! She knows me! I'll be a familiar face when she wakes up so she's not scared!" Darline yelled. Her blood coated body shook from adrenaline.

"That's not a good idea-"

"You're wasting time! Let her go!"

It was decided and after they lifted the girl into the ambulance Darline climbed in and stayed out of the way of the EMTs. They hooked her up to a vitals monitor and put an oxygen mask on her face. Her heart rate was dropping. She was still loosing too much blood, they took the flannel off her waist and put real gauze to stop the bleeding.

"We're losing her!"
