It is was only one month before the UA and Shiketsu entrance exams were held. Finally (y/n) was able to work on her quirk's ability to steal quirks.
"I mean it, every part of you needs to be fine-tuned. If you actually want to do this hero thing right, your best friend is your copy quirk. If you take a quirk that doesn't mix with your body type you could hurt yourself badly." Karou scolded like a coach would their student.
"I mean what's worse than this?" (Y/n) laughed as she lifted the side of her shirt to expose the scar that went from the right of her belly button, the top of her ribs, and above her hips. It wrapped around her side to mirror the same shape that was on the front.
"(Y/n)," Darline signed. "Your humor is going to give us a heart attack one day."
"From laughter! I'm the funniest person alive. Rip Robin Williams... he is missed." (Y/n) concluded.
"Okay, wise guy. You sound like you got 20 pushups and a minute plank left in you. Get to it." She was already tired from the sprints she did, the hurdle jumps, flexibility training, and holding the quirk stealing eye color longer than 30 seconds. (Y/n) groaned as she set up to do push-ups. Karou fixed (y/n)'s back and posture every few pushups. He would push her lower to the ground when she started to slack off. After ten pushups she fell into the sand with her left side of her face squished in the sand. "Come on. You've got ten more. Show you not to mouth off to my wife again" Karou childishly stuck his tongue out at the teen girl.
"You're a butt." She got up again after the blood came back to her arms. She did the first three perfectly fine but on the fourth, her arms burned and shook. "Five left." She went down and up again. "Only four left." (Y/n) reminded herself and tried to focus only on the numbers getting lower. "Three." Karou watched the determination in the young girl. "Two" her form had yet to diminish but her arms were shaking in the most impossible way. "one." She pushes back up. Then she collapses on the sandy floor rubbing her arms with her hands.
"You did it see! You could get even better and do twenty in a row next time!"
(Y/n) cursed Karou in her head.
"Since your arms are shot let's do sit-ups and crunches. I'll hold your feet."
What started as a quick workout to get prepared for heavy training turned into a goofy workout session that had (y/n)'s muscles aching but couldn't notice because Karou and Darline knew how to make it fun. It felt good for her to take a break after months of intense training. She had to work harder than most because after living your life only in your house for years really gets you out of shape.
After what only felt like two hours at the most turned out to be an all-day workout with every part of her body being worked on.
Once the sun began to set all three people wondered where the time went.
"I think it's time to call it night. You're going to be sore if you don't take a warm shower and a cold bath when you get home. Plus we have the walk back to your house, if we want to be there before dark we should leave." Darline said as she handed (y/n) her bland uniform her mother made her wear.
She would always wear the monstrosity out of her house until she got to the beach where she would take off the clothes and use the actual workout clothes she had underneath.
A clash of metal against metal put all three people on edge. Karou pushed the girls behind him Incase there was something wrong. (Y/n)'s eyes turned black, meaning she would have the highest amount of control over the person; to her luck, she had yet to put her bland clothes back on only strengthening her quirk.
"Girls stay here," Karou said, he started to walk forward when (y/n)'s eyes turned tan as she pulled Karou to meet her eyes. "(Y/n), I'm not kidding, undo your quirk now."
"I'm sorry. Go back to your wife, don't let her follow me. Don't follow me unless I call for you." Karou tried to push against what felt like invisible guards on either side of him, dragging him to Darline.
(Y/n)'s eyes turned back to black, but the effects on Karou didn't waver. She carefully grabbed onto the stacked up pile of trash to see what or who was making startling, dare she think, even threatening sounds. Her head barely passed out of her hiding before she saw who was the threat.
"All Might?" (Y/n) said in a normal voice as she further climbed out into the open.
"Ah! Young girl! What are you doing out here alone! It's dangerous at night-" his words stopped instantly when he looked at the teen in the eyes.
"Ahh- sorry! It was an accident!" (Y/n) didn't have a good feeling about All Might being at the trashed beach. He was the number one hero after all, why would he be here. That and (y/n) could barely tolerate most hero's. Even though she felt that way, there was no way in hell she would use her quirk on the number one hero.
"Alright." He blandly replied. Midoriya Izuku, who was blocked behind All Might was confused about why All Might's personality changed. And who was he talking to?
(Y/n) quickly changed her eyes to gold, diminishing her quirk. "I'm so sorry!" (Y/n) nodded her head down to apologize.
"I would be careful with that quirk if yours! HAHA!" All Might smiled and talked loudly.
"Heh heh- it's involuntary, sorry. Karou can you come here?" (Y/n) turned over her shoulder to call out to her, not really, uncle. With her request fulfilled Karou and Darline ran over to where (y/n) had disappeared.
"What do you think you're doing! Using your quirk on me to rush into possible danger! I swear when we get home-" Karou was cut off when his wife smacked the back of his head. He rubbed the hurt area and glared at Darline.
"Nice to see you All Might!" Darline bowed with respect to the symbol of peace. "Hello, child. It's nice to meet you." Darline said kindly.
"Heh- h-hi." Midoriya couldn't even lift his head to look at the woman, let alone the girl properly. "I'm so-sorry if we b-bothered you. We were j-just training."
"Are you that scared of me?" (Y/n) asked in a normal voice. No anger or rude attitude even came close to her voice now. Her Corinna turned a more glittery gold and kept looking at the boy who was about the same age, she guessed, but it was hard to tell. His face still had a bit of baby fat and it was covered in freckles.
"N-no!" The boy finally looked at the girl. It was the girl who was working out all the time on the beach. He would always see her but never once talked to her. But now that he saw her face up close he recognized her from somewhere... "I know you- not like actually know you! B-but I've seen you before." The kid mumbles about who she looks like and where he knows her from.
"Well I mean we do come to the beach at the same time..." (y/n) offered. Trying not to reveal that she would pay attention to him.
His eyes finally light up in recognition. A bright blush on his face from the way she looked and held herself, he knew that it wouldn't be gone until she left "You're the girl from the videos that made Pro-Hero's become more diligent! Sakaru, right?" He looked in awe that someone who was important enough to kick the Hero's who needed to be actual heroes into gear.
"Yup." (Y/n) rolled her eyes. "You want to know why that video went viral- why the videos are only 3 minutes?" (Y/n) jumped down from the piece of junk she sat on when she saw All Might. Her eyes turned a different golden color that mixed with a lighter gold around the iris.
Midoriya nodded his head. He wanted to hear about how 7 hero's, but the main 4, helped save her.
"(Y/n) maybe that's not the best idea. It's getting late. Your mom will start to worry." Darline wanted to avoid any problems with the boy who All Might was obviously close to. She knew how (y/n) could get when provoked. She would let her hold on to her quirk go and it would slip and most times it ended in a disaster.
"If you want to, I don't mind." (Y/n) smiled, it was more bratty than nice. It was mostly pointed at the pro hero in front of her.
All Might looked at the girl, he knew who she was. She had almost died when she was 11 due to her being shot when there weren't any pros in the area. Every pro hero at that time had major penalties. The hero board couldn't release the actual story about what happened, they only told the last half of it. He knew her name, he knew her hospital records. Every higher up hero did.
"Young Midoriya, this isn't a good idea-"
"Oh, it isn't? Where was that thought when I was dying on the sidewalk?" (Y/n) tilted her head to the side, smiling in a way that made her look appealing. Not that All Might had any feelings of attraction- no that's not right.
"(Y/n)! That's no way to talk to an elder! Let alone anyone!" Darline gripped the girl's arm and started to pull her away from the group of people. "I sincerely apologize! Please, continue what you were doing before we barged over."
"W-What? Y-you almost di-died!" This was news to Midoriya and he knew everything when it came to Hero's and their work.
"Oh, you didn't know? Yeah, the news never did cover the first half of the story." (y/n) joked, winking playfully at the green-headed boy.
"That's more than enough, (y/n). Go now." Karou had a stern look that made Midoriya glad his mom wasn't so strict.
"Yessir..." (y/n) quieted down and slid back on the other side of the area that held very one.
"I'm sorry! She usually isn't like that! Uh- I hope you have a wonderful night!" Karou and Darline hustled out of All Might's space and out of his sight.
All Might then deflated back into his civilian body, Toshinori Yagi. "That was certainly strange. Don't let that distract you, young Midoriya." Toshinori dismissed the topic of (y/n) putting the incident on blast.
"Wha- What was Sakaru talking about... what's the full story she was talking about." Midoriya asked quietly.
"It's not important. It was 5 years ago. Now focus." Toshinori moved away from Midoriya to let him continue to work on cleaning up the beach.
Yet Midoriya couldn't get the story out of his head. What didn't people know? What did the hero's lie about? Was she even telling the truth? Why wasn't All Might talking about what happened and even going as far as telling him to drop the topic? What was everyone trying to hide?
