"Why don't you go take a shower, (y/n). We can talk after, I'll help you set up to study too." (Y/n)'s father told her sending her up the stairs and giving her the look.
"I'm leaving for the day, work emergency. I'll see you at dinner, bye!" Kasia gave both (y/n) and her husband a kiss before racing out the door.
(Y/n) continued to follow her father's orders and went upstairs to take a shower. "I'm going to die... he's going to kill me. Okay- let's get this together. I went to the beach to have some alone time before I walked to the Kodaco house. Yeah, sounds plausible." (Y/n) grabbed a towel and stepped into the shower. She made sure to get all the sand and evidence off of her body so her mother wouldn't have a reason to forbid her from doing anything ever again.
After getting out (y/n) changed into a comfortable pair of leggings and a regular t-shirt that her father had given her without her mother knowing. She walked back downstairs and found her father in the living room.
"Hey, dad. What's up?" (Y/n) tried to act casual but her father had his lawyer face on.
"Why don't you sit down. I think there's an issue we need to discuss." His voice was of a tone that he only used in court and for when (y/n) had fucked up. And this time she knew she had fucked up.
"Am I in trouble? Because to do anything to me you have to have reliable sources and proof." (Y/n) tried to bargain to buy herself time.
"I'm your father. I don't have to do any of that." He sighed and rubbed his temples. "Where were you last night. Why did you have sand in your hair? I have done everything to make sure you will have the opportunity you want for your dreams."
"I'm sorry! I know how big this is! This is my only chance to get out and have just a bit of freedom. I went to the beach to just relax and work on flexibility." (Y/n) confessed. It wasn't the whole truth but it technically wasn't lying either.
"Karou called me last night. He told me that you had stayed at the beach past the time the Kodaco's were supposed to pick you up." His eyes narrowed. He leaned forward on his knees. He had gained the upper hand.
(Y/n) cursed Karou for being a blabbering butt head. "Yeah, b-but! Darline picked me up but Karou was asleep already. I also walked out of the house before he woke up too." She had a nervous smile glued onto her face.
"He also said you were with a boy. Care to tell me about that?"
(Y/n) now was officially fucked. Majorly and utterly fucked. "Okay... I'm going to be totally honest with you. Every time we had gone to train, there was mostly always the two people on the beach too. There was an incident that ended with me being a b-word. That was two days ago, and yesterday the boy that was also training came and talked to me. I found out that we're both applying to U.A." (Y/n)'s head hung low. "Dad, he's my first friend since I was nine..."
"(Y/n) I'm disappointed with your decision to lie. Yet I understand your feelings, your mother has been getting more controlling but I'm on your side. If you want to be trusted with going out alone you cannot lie to me. This is your one and only warning. As a punishment for this, you will not go out without me there- for a week." (Y/n)'s father concluded as he stood up to assert his power.
"Dad! That's not fair! You're always busy, I won't be able to keep up my routine!" (Y/n) followed her father, who took this time to walk into the kitchen.
"I guess you'll have to use that time to study and think about if lying and losing the little trust your mom has in you is really worth you losing everything you've worked hard for. Now go to your room and study..." the disappointment on her father's face made (y/n) feel worse than when her mom would yell at her.
"Yes, dad." (Y/n) walked away faster than normal and all but ran up the stairs. She pulled out her study materials and sat down on her bed. She was worried that her homeschooling would give her less of a chance to get a good score on her test. "I know I can do this. I just need to hunker down and study!" (Y/n) only was able to focus long enough to study for an hour before she banged her head on her wooden desk.
Her phone dinged for the first time in a long time. Thinking it was just her mother she ignored it. About ten minutes later her phone dinged again. It was unusual that her mother would text twice. She would only text once before calling (y/n)'s phone.
(Y/n) curiously flipped over her phone. "Holy hell- I.. Woah!" On her phone screen had two messages from an unknown number. The only other person who would know her number was Midoriya.
*'It's Midoriya, hopefully this is the right number for Sakaru... anyway text me back. If you want you don't have to!'*
*'I'm going to be training on the beach today in two hours from now, maybe we can train together'*
"Holy wow- holy wow." (Y/n) opened her phone and started to reply to him.
•'Hey! Yeah, this is the right number, I'd be happy to train with you later. Is there anything you're thinking about doing specifically?'•
(Y/n) tapped her nails on the wooden surface of her desk. She needed to think of ways to get her father to let her go train. He was as stubborn as she was, he wouldn't let go of the grounding until it was over in a week.
(Y/n) flipped her phone over to see the screen once the familiar text message ding rang from her phone.
*'Not anything special, mostly what you do during training- not that I watch you train! See you soon then,'*
•'Yeah, sounds good! Hope you don't mind but my dad freaked about me staying out late so he's only letting me go out with him... is that okay?'• (Y/n) set her phone down to go talk to her dad about letting her train with Midoriya.
"Dad? I know that you're kinda still mad but I was wondering if you could come down with me to the trashed beach to train... Midoriya invited me to work out with him." (Y/n) leaned her shoulder against the wall of her father's study.
"I'm busy right now, (y/n). I don't think you can today." Her father didn't even look up to address her.
"It's in two hours anyway. Do you think we can go then?" (Y/n) said a bit louder to try to get her father to look at her.
"... I suppose we can. Alright, we can go. Come get me when you're ready to leave." Her father looked at (y/n) this time. She could tell that he was obviously very upset with her still. So she only nodded and walked out of his study.
Running back to her room, (y/n) grabbed her phone and read the message that Midoriya had sent her.
*'Yeah, it's not a problem, sorry if I got you in trouble with your parents.'*
•'Lol don't worry about it, you didn't get me in trouble. It was something else I did smh. I'll see you later Midoiya!'•
Okay so (y/n) didn't have the exact science of texting down but it wasn't too bad... kind of.
