Chapter 3 - The Unknown Room [Part 2]

Yixing leaned back on the chair and waited patiently for his counter part to come in. He'd only do this for the sake of Exoplanet other than that, he'd rather gaze back at the lovely herb garden he cultivated back at home. Another than that he'd sleep on his hammock and lazily stare at the cloud. He'd sometimes make up stories of what type animal the clouds would form. Last time he saw a rabbit and laughed at it out loud. His servants around him had gotten used to it. If you were new to his residence, he'd probably be crazy. It is as if he is talking to himself daily.

Around this time he would be watering his herbs and picking them up one by one. He never let anyone go there. That was his treasure. He lived further from the other members due to his nature of growing herbs. His herbs were somewhat an excuse he use every time, if he had to go to an unrelated meeting to him. Most of the time Leader of Division A and B let him be. They would only drag his lazy self back to the meeting if he was really needed there.

Yixing was dying of escaping from the room. In no way will he will wait in less than thirty minutes. The only thing Suho told him was to make sure to follow his instructions. Maybe he might and should give whomever was his partner an easy test. It'd give him less work and end his day back to his room.

Within a couple of minutes the door opened slowly. Yixing opened one of his eyes. It was if he was pretending to sleep and see what she will do. Three minutes passed and he didn't move nor talk. The only thing you could hear in his room was his loud breaths every four to five seconds. This made Nari dumbfounded. She walked up close to him. What in the world was she was supposed to do? This man was just sleeping here as if she didn't exist. She leaned in closer to him. She studied his face. His bare white skin and his long eyelashes.

Yixing opened his eyes. He was star struck. What was she doing? Leaning so close to him, as if his personal space was invaded. Just like when you blow a bubble and then popped it with her fingers. He moved himself away from her.

"Hello, My name is Park Nari. I suppose you might have some kind of power too." She said and stood up from crouching down earlier.

"Lay." He sat up straight.

He made her wait as much as she made him wait. Time was precious for him he could of counted different types of clouds passing by right now. Now this was the time. The time where he couldn't be that lazy but still be lazy. The energy of him performing the task wasn't small but big. It will draw a little bit of magic inside of him.

He snapped his fingers as the room environment changed to darkness. Nari flinched for a bit. She'd thought they do some type of activity with healing with the wounded but nope. She stood there in there in the darkness for about two minutes, until a reflection of herself showed up. She knew it was herself but why was she seeing her past? This was something familiar. She felt the same nervousness feeling. It seemed so real. She walked up to the reflection to reach out to the dying person who she couldn't save awhile back.

Yixing stared at her from behind. Why did she have this type of reaction? The mirror of reflection, did he use it wrongly? Fear was supposed to come out from it but instead it was her memories. Yixing then understood her situation for a bit. He switched the scenery into a hospital and the same person who was dying was lying there.

Nari without hesitation ran up to him. He was stabbed deep in his lower right abdominal. Blood gushed out as Nari had forgotten what to do. This was also the same situation that happened last time. She first started out as a nurse and didn't know what to do when there was a state of emergency. Her head started to hurt. The pain in her heart grandly increased and her hands were becoming numb.

"He's gonna die." Yixing said from behind.

His words trailed to her ears an echo booming back and forth. Yixing nodded his head as no. By now if she didn't do anything that guy from her past will die and she too will suffer great damages if she didn't pass this test. The Mirror of Reflection was an ancient artifact that the late Ruler retrieved from EXOplanet's ancestors. It was often used to torture outsiders or traitors in the passed. This was awfully a cruel way to start with the girl. This had got to be Yifan's choice of using, cruel yet beneficial as always.

When she heard the words 'he's gonna die' she pushed the blood with her hands. She looked at the patient's face. He was also scared. Those lifeless eyes, left a mark on her. This was one of the reasons why she stopped being a doctor. If she had activated her powers back then maybe she could have saved him. Just within an instance. She couldn't believe it. She had the power to heal. Of course. She concentrated her hands on his lower right abdominal. Even if it was the slightest power to heal him, she'd be more than happy. She couldn't let him die a second time.

Its as if she'd been praying for a whole day to release her powers out. She mumbled, "please, please, heal him."

Yixing observed and maybe she'd have a slight change to pass. He wasn't so sure. It had to be up to her. The most important thing for a healer was making sure for the dying or injured be at least 15% healed. Little did he know that she already healed him up to 30%. Yixing released the magic and the Mirror of Reflections disappeared. By this time she'd would probably faint. Magic users are not to heal more than 25% because little did each healer can heal everyone. Of course healers can also be hurt too. When healing, it's like giving their life away as well but slowly.

Nari fell to her side and from her view she could see Yixing walking up to her. He squatted down and placed two fingers on her forehead. He only healed her until she had the strength to sit up by herself. From her view, he was like an angel ascending down from heaven. When his two fingers touched her forehead she felt her body regain more strength. Her gaze to him was a awkward moment. But for her happiness filled in her eyes as she reached over to hug Yixing.

"Woah woah woah." He exclaimed.

Yixing was caught off guard, fell backwards along with Nari. What in the world is she doing? Why is she hugging him? They were strangers not family nor in any type of relationship. This was way too much for him. He patted her on the arm for her to stop hugging him tightly. She noticed and felt a little embarrassed. She stood up smile at him as if she had done crying.

"I'm so sorry," She said and bowed her head 90 degrees to him.

Again Yixing was confused. He felt his energy being drained when she hugged him. She was pretty heavy for her size. He let out a big air as if he couldn't inhale oxygen.

"Do that again. I won't know what to do with you." He said.

He got up and dusted his clothes , its as if he had dirt on him.

"Okay. You pass." He said and turned around about to exit.

"You're my partner from then on?" She asked.

He didn't respond nor look back and waved his hand. Nari watched as Yixing walked out of the room. She was excited and yet just realized what she did to him. If she was his partner, then they must have to know their own boundaries. Nari palm-faced herself. Why in the would she do such a thing. Such an embarrassment. She ran out the room and went to where she was supposed be.
