Bae Bongcha was raised being exposed to violence every day. Her father was from a Triad gang back in Taiwan. She's a brave and strong girl, since her father was strict on her while growing up. She never showed emotions towards her father or to anyone else. One thing she wanted the most was find her mother who was never a part of her life. Every time when she went to school and there was parent teacher conference, her classmate's mother would show up. She was the only one whose mother never showed up and only her dad was present.
When she got the invitation to attend Exocademy, she felt thrilled. She didn't want to inherit her father's business. She wanted to live a regular life. When she went to school, she'd have bodyguards watching her every move. She never had the chance to make friends at her age. Maybe this was the time for her to make friends or at least decent classmates. Her father didn't allow her to go to the academy, but to stay home. She and her father got into a huge argument regarding her powers. Her father knew she had powers but he still refused her decision.
S
he had to fight through her father's bodyguards in order to leave that night. He cancelled his entire schedule just so she couldn't escape from home. She made sure to not get caught by her father. The only person in her life Bongcha ever grown close to was her nanny. Her nanny took care of her most of the time when her father was out of town. That night her nanny agreed for her to leave to attend the academy. Her nanny knew what was best for her. The nanny went outside to the power outlet and pushed the reset button.
In order for Bongcha to escape safely, she had two minutes to get out from her room to the front entrance. Right when the power went out, she found her way to the front door. Most of the guards outside were scattered around trying to find out what was the cause of the power outage. When the power was back on, everyone saw Bongcha ride her motorcycle out and gave her chase.
Bongcha's father ordered his men to bring them back alive. Her father was furious and knew the only person who could help her escape was no other than the nanny. He locked the nanny up until he got news of his daughter. Bongcha reached the airport and boarded on the plane.
She called her father on the phone, "Father, don't do anything to Nanny. She is the only person who understood me and watched me grow. You never spent much time with me. My only wish is to find out who I am and who mother is."
Her father shook his head, "You can't go there."
She wondered why her father would say such a thing.
"Father I'm sorry but I'll have to go. I'm old enough to make my own decisions. I'll come back and visit you." She said as she hung up and threw her phone in the trash bin.
"Bongcha! Bongcha!" He yelled through the phone.
Her father told his guards to go to where the academy was at and to bring her back this instant. Bongcha sat in her seat and let out a big sigh. She already knew that her father will be coming to look for her no matter where she was going. Her father was the cruelest and the baddest person out there.
A couple of days later Bongcha arrived at Exocademy. She was excited and yet wasn't sure how'd she interact with everyone. She probably wasn't the only person with powers maybe. She had to keep her guard up as well. When she reached the ceremony hall and listened to Mr. Suho make his speech, her named was then called. She walked out of the ceremony hall and to the room she was supposed to be at.
Luhan on the other hand was waiting for his counterpart. He sat in his chair and waited patiently. When the door opened he stood up. He smiled at the girl that was coming in. She had a very strong aura around her. He liked it and yet walked over to put his arm around her. She looked at him and grabbed him by the arm.
"Ow… ow… that hurt." He said.
"Don't touch me like that." She said as she let him go.
Luhan just laughed it off. He liked her. She was straightforward.
"I'm Luhan." He said.
She nodded, "Bongcha."
"Hello. Bongcha."
Bongcha just lightly smiled.
"Alright this will be your task," He said as she showed her the mirror of reflection.
She stared at it. What was this mirror of reflection anyways? She looked at it and then back at Luhan. Luhan himself was confused; did she not have any fears or anything? He used his magic to activate the Mirror of Reflection and it turned black.
"Weird." Luhan said to himself and looked at the mirror.
Bongcha waited for Luhan to give her an explanation. Luhan snapped his fingers and the environment changed. It was probably still finding her fear. Bongcha stared at the changing scenery, she saw herself sitting there alone while other kids her age had their parents next to them. She was getting emotional and even envied them. She looked at the people around her, these were her classmates in elementary. Tears started to roll down her face and she wiped them away. What were these emotional feelings about?
The scene then changed and she saw Little Bongcha crying by herself at the corner. She reached over to little Bongcha and carried her. She knew down deep inside why she was crying. She wanted love from her parents but couldn't get any from them. Her father was always busy and her mother suddenly disappeared a long time ago. She caressed the little girl, but when she looked at the little girl, her image changed into something else. It was a dark shadow that was lurking for love and lust.
Bongcha took a couple steps back and looked at it. What was that thing? She'd never seen anything like it before. Luhan was observing her and had a complicated expression on his face. Will she be able to pass this test or was she going to fail? He waited for her to see if she was going to use her powers to help herself.
"What are you?" She asked.
It just looked at her and had a creepy smile. It started to jump from wall to wall. It was hard for Bongcha to catch where it was landing. It came straight at her and she dodged it by doing a somersault. She then waved her hand at it cause it to be hit against the wall. She then took a metal stick that was in the room when she randomly called for it, it was already in her hand. She started to defend herself and attack it. Luhan was surprised, she knew how to fight and use her powers. He'd probably didn't need to really train her at all.
Before Bongcha was going to hit the dark figure, Luhan snapped his fingers and everything went back to normal. She looked at him and then at the metal stick she was holding. Unaware of how she summoned it with magic she threw it on the floor. He clapped hands to congratulate her.
"You've done well my student." He said as he winked at her.
"So this is it?" She asked him.
"For now." He said, "Don't worry there will be a time for you to fully go against someone else." He
said.
Bongcha just nodded and didn't say anything else.
"From now on you'll be under my command and you've passed the test." He said.
Before Luhan left she stopped him. She really wanted to ask him about just what and how her powers came to be hers.
Luhan turned around, "You'll know eventually."
Luhan already knew what she wanted to know but now really wasn't the time for her to be asking about that. He didn't even have any information to give her just yet.
"Isn't this why you've accepted to come to the academy?" Luhan asked her.
She looked at him. He was right. She came her for a reason and that was to get to know who she is and what she is.
"Thank you." She simply said.
He looked at her, "Why are you thanking me?"
"Because you've just reminded me why I cam here."
Luhan just smiled and left the room. He knew something was off with her fear in the Mirror of Reflection he had to go report it both of the leaders of Exocademy.
