From the beginning of the task that was handed from Yifan and Suho, Chanyeol had no choice but to follow through. His morals have changed since that day. The day he'd shut himself out such as his humanity. Suho on the other hand was the most difficult person Chanyeol had ever met. He'd stick his nose in every person's business as if he is a fortune teller. When the mission reached his ears, he'd made sure he'd perform it well so he would prove him wrong that all beings are weak and will remain weak as ever. No one had the power to change neither his opinion nor his personality ever.
Jisoo holds the element of fire. Ever since she got the invitation to attend the academy, she couldn't sleep at all. She was wide awake until her departure time. Her brother sent her off this morning to the academy. This was the big day she has been waiting for. She wondered if she was the only person or were there other people too just like her. When her brother put his car on park, she opened the door. Jihoo lifted the trunk up and took out her suitcase. He let his younger sister go to a place that suited her.
"Brother, I will be fine. Do not worry about me." She reassured him.
"Mhm."
He hoped that it was true. He didn't want her to suffer anymore. This time she had to take good care of herself since he won't be near to watch over her.
"Take care." He said as he hugged and patted her head.
He watched her figure fade before he left.
Jisoo wanted to observe the school campus. It was just ordinary like any other school. If she didn't receive a letter from the people of the school, she would think that it was a normal school.
After the ceremony had finished and her name was called, she took a deep breath and headed out the hall. She wasn't a very good person with directions. Her brother always helped her or took her everywhere. You can say that she was very well taken care of. She randomly guessed to go down the stairs. As she looked at the school map she did not pay any attention to the steps. Her foot missed a step and caused her to fall forward. Unexpectedly she didn't feel herself fall but her head was hit against something soft. The moment when she lost her balance she had already shut her eyes.
"Won't you give yourself any attention?" She heard a man's voice.
"Oh I'm so sorry. I got lost." She said honestly.
He looked at her and ignored her as if she never was there. She didn't even move or made way to him. She also dare not look at him also. He moved her aside and left. She turned around and only saw his clothing not his face.
She hated herself for not paying any attention to where she was going. She was already late to where she was supposed to go.
Chanyeol was waiting in the room and no one came for almost fifteen minutes. He was glad but yet was determined to see the other person who held the same power as him. If he came back with a report empty handed he'd probably had to give Suho a valid reason about what they had talked about. Right when he was about to open the door, it opened. He looked at the girl who was in front of him. Her presence felt familiar but yet strange.
She gave him a hello wave for him to reduce his stare. Right when the palm of her hand went passed his eyes, he grabbed her risk. Those eyes were so familiar and so similar to someone he once knew.
"Are you going to let go of my hand?" She asked him.
"Looks like you found your way." He said.
He pulled her into the room and closed the door. She had wasted enough time already.
"The name is Chanyeol. Let's start with the first step." He said as he presented the room with the
Mirror of Reflection.
The room changed and her reflection appeared in front of her. She could see fire all around her. She was astonished and scared. She was afraid of her own powers because she accidently set her house on fire. She was only 9 at the time. She didn't know how to use her powers and was stuck inside the house. No one had saved her because the fire was too strong, but she wasn't burning which her mother was confused to why. Her father was an Exonian while her mother was human. Her mother never knew anything about magical powers or beings. She only learned after that event.
Jisoo hated herself for setting her own home on fire. It was because of her powers that they were homeless for so long and couldn't settle in. Her parents had to travel on foot and sleep at the subway alleys or any other places that they could find.
When she looked at her self the figured moved, she didn't understand who that girl was. They looked a like but were different. The girl who was in there was humming a tune that was so familiar to Chanyeol. He looked from a far; this was the tune that his ex-girlfriend was singing. Why was she her and why was she connected to this girl. He didn't understand. It had been more than a hundred of years since that accident.
"Who are you?" Jisoo asked her.
The girl didn't respond but pointed at Chanyeol. She looked back and saw Chanyeol's facial expression. It was calm but yet in his eyes it was filled with fire. Was this the survival test they created on purpose? Was this a decoy or what was it? She didn't understand but looked back at the girl who was in the mirror who was now in the air coming at her. Her reflexes were slow and she went through her. Jisoo fell to her knees gasping in pain. Why was this happening? How could she overcome this test? She was afraid to use her powers but this was the time to use it
The girl stood in front of Chanyeol. They both stood there looking at each other.
She stood up and looked over at the girl who looked like her and this guy named Chanyeol. It seemed as if they had something with each other. She stood up and flashed fire at the girl standing in front of him.
Chanyeol stopped the fire with his hands. When the fire landed on his hand he gazed at it for a moment. Small but powerful, indeed she didn't know who to control this. This mirror of reflection was no joke. It connected her past with his. It wasn't supposed to happen like this. Maybe it'll be better if he destroy the reflection instead of her.
Jisoo looked at Chanyeol who was holding the fire in his hand. What was he going to do with that? Was he going to save it for later? Or was he going to use it against that thing.
"Chanyeol!?" Jisoo yelled at the top of her lungs.
When he heard her call his name he adverted his gaze to look at her, she was holding a fireball at herself and eyeballed the mirror of reflection. When he saw the dark aura in the mirror, he stepped away from the girl who looked like her. He let go of Jisoo's fire in his hand and dashed beside her.
"Learn how to control your power." He said as he guided her to use it.
Her back was facing his chest has both of their hands were stretched out to cast out fire. Her casting was bigger than his as he decreased her fire; he told her to remember focus the energy in her hand. If she had focused less energy then she should be able to control her powers in a couple of seconds.
As he let go of her hand, she looked at him. He looked into her eyes, there was fear. She didn't want him to release his hand. He lifted his chin for her to look at the incoming girl. She turned to look in front of her and released it as she came running just like when she ran straight through Jisoo. She they came in contact she released the fire and the girl was gone.
The room changed back to being regular. She looked at Chanyeol and was amazed. "Thank you for your guidance." She bowed and saluted him.
"You have too much to learn. From now on follow my lead." He said.
She looked at him leave the room and back at the mirror of reflection that fade away. When Chanyeol left her, he walked back to the conference room. He had no idea why his ex-girlfriend's presence was left with her. He had to find answers and those answers relied on being close to her. That was the only reason why he accepted her has his student.
