Chapter 1.
Disclaimer: We do not own anything.
-Beginning-
It was said that before anything existed. There existed a will. It all started with a strand of consciousness.
To call it a strand was perhaps not the best word to describe it.
Calling it a string would be more fitting. Yes.
This string seemingly moved in a single line. Where it started, where it was going and where it would end was unknown.
It was pitched black.
What would be called a place, rather, the place was pitch black.
In that instance, perhaps, after moving in a single straight line for a long time.
The consciousness took the chance to pause and… "think."
"Think."
A rare sensation. Not foreign, but strangely familiar, even though it couldn't understand.
"...."
Those were the words that floated out from its consciousness.
To call them words wasn't the right way to put it. The string had thought of something.
And that something slowly formed a strange concept. "Word."
After taking a moment in silence. It began to operate on the logic of thinking.
In a way or two, this Will can be referred to as God. This is an undisputed fact.
Even before the existence of concepts like time, space, or any definable reality, there existed this one singular will.
—Like a string stretched out thin, then suddenly strummed by an outside interference.
Regardless. It was certain that this will had come into existence before even existence or its preceding concept came into existence.
Yet. As it exited. This will was strong; perhaps the only thing that limited it was its imagination.
However, despite its boundlessness. There is one problem it inevitably faced.
A foreign concept that just seemed to exist along as this Will had came into being.
Boredom.
Regardless of whether omnipotent or omniscient, or even boundless by nature, this foreign law— or concept, whatever it was or you'd prefer to call it—applied to most of them.
It's like one playing creative mode in a game, where one has the supreme power.
At first, the prospect of being able to do any and all of this would undoubtedly be enticing.
No, it's far more than that.
The desire, urge, or whatever that moves one to carry out a particular task they wouldn't be able to carry out normally is the first thing the likes of them would jump at.
If a problem arises?⸻"Oh, you can just click this, this, and that, and it's over with."
Why grind for materials in game when with one button you can get:
Unlimited money.
Unlimited ammo.
Unlimited lives.
Unlimited Gacha draws?
Or rather—
Why waste time trying to beat a boss that'd require a hundred quests to fulfil so one can get a blade that could potentially kill the boss but still take a month to get on top of that?
"Surely, you don't need such a roundabout method, just putting on this mod and spam clicking this—you'd obviously beat it in zero time."
Certainly, that's somehow how it is, however, it goes farther than that.
And as such, after carrying out whatever motive or desire or wish or whatever it was—one may have, soon come to realise how boring or futile it is to have the ultimate power at their fingertips.
The same concept applied to even the creator of this world.
As such, as one boundless in nature, it thought—"Why not create a world to entertain myself with?"
Perhaps, this may not have been the most accurate description, but one can imagine something along the lines of what a bored "boundless will" would say at such a time.
Certainly, it knew it had the power to it. The thought had sprung up because it had the power to, and really—It just could.
In its infinite existence, it began to crave something other than just existing idly there.
An idea took form within the Will—a "desire" to create others like itself.
The Will envisioned new, independent wills that could interact, grow, and forge their own paths.
But creating such entities required a foundation, one that could undoubtedly house them.
To accommodate these new wills, the Great Will had created:
Space to give the wills a place to occupy.
Time to allow them to experience existence sequentially, to have a past, present, and future.
But this wasn't enough. Or so to say, this wasn't yet at the level where the creator would be satisfied.
Far from it.
—Next, the Will, having taken command of the eight Great Holy Spirits, powerful and pure elemental forces without wills.
He created for himself seven servants to assist him from the Great Holy Spirit of Light.
They would be known as the Seven Angels of Origin.
Not only that, they were beings named by the Creator himself.
In a world such as this, with laws being so volatile, the act of naming such in itself had brought forth the idea that, just through the act of naming—
—Said named subject could grow exponentially and evolve into higher levels of existence or something along those lines.
This certainly was something the creator himself was happy about.
However, by splitting the Great Holy Spirit of Light.
In response, the world, to balance this partiality out, split from the Great Holy Spirit of Darkness, Seven Beings of Darkness to balance out the Seven Being created from Light.
The moment the Will had began its creation. The world had begun adjusting itself. The world had begun to understand itself, perhaps?
Said act couldn't have been understood, but the act of impartiality by the Will was not allowed by the already adjusting world.
Thuss was the concept of Duality born.
To let the Great Holy Spirit of Light be split, without its matching duality, Darkness….
This wasn't allowed.
Yet. The Will didn't—rather it wasn't bothered. This had only amused it to no end.
It had begun to think. "Yes. This is just what I want—"
The world—universe, multiverse, dimensions, GREAT WORLD—he had begun creating was evolving as he created it.
Could it be kept or said that way?
Who would know?
The laws that made up the foundation of the world weren't something so shallow that any normal person would understand.
As such, the Will didn't mind. If anything, he entertained the idea.
It had continued with the powers of the Great Holy Spirit and Imaginary Collapse. It had created ... worlds.
Various worlds of different kinds.
As they were being brought into creation, varying natures and laws concerning each created world were brought into reality.
Yes. It had accomplished what it intended to do.
But what now?
For a being like it who had created everything that dwelt here, it had begun to realise…
If it continued this way, surely, whatever that would be created, whatever that would happen, everything…
It would surely know.
For a Will like it that had experienced boredom mere moments before now, such couldn't be tolerated.
It had just witnessed the world in creation, balancing out the birth of the Primordial Angels by birthing forth the Primordial Devils.
Such had fascinated it to no end. Such a thing, he wanted to see more off…..
Unexpected events, how they happen, what leads up to it, and more importantly, the potential of his creations.
However—
Even if it prevents itself from knowing things, it would still be that all-powerful entity.
It would still have the power to influence his creations.
At this point, what it wanted was entertainment. Knowing everything that would come would simply spoil the enjoyment to come.
It's like knowing how a movie will play out after being spoiled by a friend.
While some will argue they'd still watch it. To others, it takes the fun of watching it from them—
The Will came to such a conclusion.
Hence. It had thought:
"Hm. Why not simply spread my powers into fragments and have it be the foundation for "that" world..."
Such were its thoughts. And without a second thought about it. The Will had given up its all-powerful abilities.
—What remained of it was now a being with the creator's will but existing as part of creation rather than something beyond it.
But that didn't stop it.
Does losing a challenge in a game mean it's game over when you can simply restart the level?
Of course not. And that was how it was for the creator.
He—The Star Dragon King, Veldanava was just beginning.
