Chapter 9

Disclaimer: We own nothing.

True Dragons.

Being more closely related to a natural phenomenon than any other species in the world.

Natural disasters, so to speak.

Their mere aura alone could destroy weak worlds.

Beings of lesser than certain ranks would be eviscerated upon nearing them.

They were undoubtedly on top of this world's food chain by a mile, far surpassing most races in this world.

At this time, even before Twilight's birth. Two other True Dragons had been born after Veldanava.

One who was to rule over ice and its concept of deceleration.

The other ruled over fire and its concept of acceleration.

The fourth was to be born later than now, who would rule over storms.

-West of the Cardinal World-

A place that had yet to grow barren.

A place with lush grasses and land that sprawled out in a great expanse.

This was the dominion of the True Giants. Where they lived, holed up in one distant part of the world.

And today, on their way there, there was a duo of important people.

A friend of the king of the Giant was making their way to him, and immediately the rest had known, they had welcomed him.

"Hey, I heard that person is close to God."

One True Giant said.

"I also heard Lord Dagruel speaks highly of him."

Another one said.

"You idiot, you don't know? That person is Lady Kisara's father."

"Serious?"

"Of course, it's pretty well known, well can't fault you, he hasn't been heard off in a century or so, I don't blame you."

"But, if he's Lord Basara's… isn't he the reason why…"

"Yeah, those crimson-eyed people."

"Oi. You're being disrespectful."

Or so were the words, rather, rumors, floating around the land of the Giants.

However, that was of no concern to the two little figures compared to the True Giant's hugeness.

But they could tell.

Just by the amount of magicules the two possessed, it was no wonder it was said they were the closest to God and why their King respects them.

Heavens Tower.

A holy relic, so to say, created by none other than the Star King himself.

More so, a place which imprisoned one of the three True Giants that had been split from the Mad King.

Here, Twilight had entered alongside Luminous for a meeting with Dagruel.

They were taken over to a section inside the tower that acted as a palace.

It had an interior that far surpassed any place in the Cardinal World.

However, … its grandeur can be said to be second to that of the Heavenly Star Palace.

Heck, the grandeur of that place—The Heavenly Star Palace—wasn't easily and particularly replicable.

It wasn't because of its technology.

Rather, its sacredness as the starting point of all creation, and the place God lives.

Regardless of that.

The Giant attendant had led both Twilight and Dagruel to a garden-like place with a huge gazebo where True Giant sat.

"Hey. Dagruel."

Twilight raised a hand calling the True Giant to attention.

"Twilight, huh? It's been long."

Both then greeted each other with a handshake before settling down.

"So, what brings you here today? It's rare to see you these days. You've been holed up for years."

Dagruel asked as some Giants came in with something to drink for the two in a large cup.

From the structure of the cup, Twilight could tell they were made with the best technology this world had to offer currently.

However, Twilight rejected it with a polite wave of his hand seeing as Dagruel's gaze lingered on the person beside him.

"Hn. I want to introduce you to my daughter, by extension—Luminous."

Twilight introduced Luminous who gave Dagruel a nod of acknowledgement, who in turn also returned it.

"She has been acknowledged by Veldanava; she would be assigned as the ruler of the Vampires, just like you, over the Giants."

As Twilight said so, Dagruel could understand where Twilight is coming from, and where he was going with this.

"Indeed, there have been conflicts with the vampires lately, and if she has been appointed by him and you, I'll naturally support her. However, she would subdue them herself before that."

"Naturally. I plan on doing so."

It was Luminous that spoke this time with an air of absolute confidence.

With the gift Veldanava had given her, she could subdue most vampires almost instinctively.

[Title: True Ancestor].

It was a blessing, which effect was natural and absolute authority over her own kind.

With this, even though not an inherent fighter like Dawn, would make her almost relative to him because of thjs.

Of course, this meant further relationship with Luminous' land whenever she established her nation.

And this was mostly what Twilight came for, other than subduing the vampires causing Damargania problems.

"Heh, still as uptight as ever, Dagruel."

"I could say the same for you, and here I thought you'd be more autistic than before due to being holed up in that place for so long."

"Oh please, part of that reason was for the Giant's sake."

Both Twilight and Dagruel bickered back and forth with a playful tone, which was quite odd to see both do.

From a normal standpoint, one would see both as reserved individuals as they appeared like so.

However, both who had been acknowledged by the creator, and both who had just happened to hit it off….

They saw no need not to become friends.

Giants.

As a result of the test, rather, experiment Twilight had carried out during his [Spirit Incarnation Project].

Though, they were different—

At some time, he had created other races by incarnating elementals, giving them physical form.

From that, he had created beings other than High-Humans and continued to develop various other races.

Enki, High Elves, Sirens, High Dwarves—though, at this point, those were still far less common.

"How are Kisara and Basara, by the way?"

Twilight suddenly said with a smirk, making Dagruel click his tongue in mild annoyance.

In a way they were related since Twilight created the Giants, and apparently, Dagruel had taken one of his creations as a wife.

This meant they were connected, no?

"Oh? Giving me the silent treatment, are we now?"

Luminous, who was watching their interaction, saw Twilight in a new light, though the pun wasn't intended.

"Enough teasing. What about you? In a way, your work can be said to have been completed."

Dagruel swiftly changed the topic from him to Twilight.

But on a more serious note. He was genuinely curious.

After all, from what Veldanava had shared to him, Twilight's progress had been commendable.

In a few millennia, the world would be populated with different races like Twilight had intended.

Even now, the High-Humans—though arrogant, like the Titans once were—were doing their part by spreading out and occupying space uselessly.

"Hm. I'll stay around to keep watch for some time."

Twilight had said so without thoughts about it.

"Then, how about staying in Damargania?"

Dagruel at that point gave such an offer to Twilight, who simply raised an eyebrow.

However, before Twilight could respond, Luminous had beaten him to it.

"No thank you, Sir Dagruel. Father would be with me even after he retires."

Being called "Father," despite Twilight being asexual and identifying as male, felt odd.

They—referring to Dawn and Luminous—were his alter ego at best. Yet to refer to him as father.

Haizz.

'Yes, that's it!'

His next goal was to get his male reproductive organs back, his little brother actually, to be precise.

But even if he did, he is a spiritual lifeform in the end and incapable of giving birth.

"But, hey, it's better having "it," isn't that right?"

Twilight had muttered so unconsciously, making Dagruel and Luminous look his way.

"...."

Feeling their gaze on him, Twilight rose up from his chair with an awkward cough.

"Ahem. It's nothing."

Twilight said, however, Dagruel stopped him before he could leave.

"No, I sensed those words were important. You were referring to something rather… interesting."

To this, Twilight's eyebrows twitched.

"How would you even know?"

"Perhaps father is lamenting the fact he can't reproduce; was that why you asked me of that?"

Luminous looked his way, remembering when Twilight had given the suggestion to her and Dawn.

However, with someone like Dawn, she rejected. More than that, she wasn't interested in such things.

Coming to his own conclusion…

"I see; you have it tough."

Suddenly, Dagruel stood up and patted Twilight's back with a pitiful expression on his face as if Twilight lost something precious to him.

"Oi! Dagruel, what do you mean by what you said!?"

Hearing Dagruel say that, Twilight roared as Dagruel turned to leave the gazebo.

Gritting his teeth, extremely annoyed, Twilight stretched his hand towards the departing Dagruel.

"Dagruel!"

Suddenly, the True Giant paused and glanced over his shoulder at Twilight, as if pondering something for a moment.

"... By the way, Twilight… Has anyone ever told you… no, in case no one has told you this before…"

Dagruel suddenly said cryptically, making Twilight forget Dagruel's earlier comment for the briefest of moments.

"Although I don't see you that way, my wife said….. you're rather cute."

That….. Those words snapped Twilight's last thread of composure.

Twilight's face morphed as he opened his mouth.

"Hahhh!? Kisara! Damn you!"

At this moment, the cries of a Divine Ancestor were heard across the entirety of Damargania as his daughter, by extension, tried cheering him up.

"Don't worry, Father; you'll have someone who'd love you for being you in the future."

This only made it even worse.

Why?

Because his very own female alter ego was teasing him, flashing a smile that exposed her fangs.

Her amusement betrayed her words.

At this point…

Damargania be doomed!

"Spell: Fall Gazer!"

"Oi! Twilight! What are you doing!?"

"Damargania be doomed!"

A certain God who was worshipped by High-Humans around the Cardinal World was fooling around with a fellow equal, the King of True Giant, about not being able to reproduce.

And all this was being watched by a certain potential✨️ loving Creator.

"Reproduction, huh? I wonder how that feels."

At the moment the Star King, the source of the world, had said that, Feldway felt a chill down his spine.

For some reason that idea hit him with more dread than seeing Veldanava taking an interest in Twilight's shenanigans.

An extreme sense of déjà vu hit Feldway at this moment.
