Chapter 8

Disclaimer: We own nothing.

For some reason, Dawn didn't like the way Feldway was looking at them.

Having being a newborn carrying a part more divine after the three—Veldanava, Feldway, and Twilight.

Dawn had felt Feldway's intent towards them.

Hence why he did what he did.

"Heh!"

Dawn raised his hand, balling his right hand into a fist.

In that same moment, his hand was coated with red-like magicules.

"Wait, he's a newborn right?"

Veldanava, watching from the side, said so with mild surprise as he turned towards Twilight.

"I suppose so. Perhaps he takes after me…."

Hearing that somewhat narcissistic comment made the Star King let out a wry smile.

Dawn had extended the magicule-imbued fist towards Feldway; however, the Primordial Angel caught it and threw Dawn away.

THUD!

A loud thud rebounded as Dawn crashed onto the wall of the Throne Room of the Star Palace.

"Kuh."

However, as Feldway did, a low grunt escaped him.

He glanced over his hand that had caught the Magicules-infused fist.

A rough scratch was made there.

'...What?'

Feldway looked over his palm in surprise.

The surprise stare which would now turn into a full-blown glare at Dawn, who had now regained his balance with a grin.

"Feldway was careless."

Twilight said without much emotion, shaking his head.

"I agree."

Veldanava agreed too, with a nod of his head with a sheepish expression as both now looked at the visibly enraged Primordial Angel.

"Heh. So this is one of the angels that serve God? Hah, it's nothing special."

The newly made being said so, wiping the dust of his clothes dismissively.

However, in response, the Primordial Angel snarls further.

"Tsk. You lowly being of flesh. I was going easy on you for Veldanava-sama's sake."

"But I see—just like that man—you procreate like mindless beasts. How typical of the creations you spawn."

Feldway then turned to Twilight, still glaring at him like he had always done from the start.

"And you… incompetent as always. I didn't think you'd stoop so low as to allow your creations such liberties."

Hearing this from the Primordial Angel, Twilight wasn't angry, to say the least.

If anything, he was more confused at what the Primordial Angel meant by what he had said.

However, the same couldn't be said for Dawn and Luminous.

The darn pigeon had just insulted their creator, father, brother, or alternate ego by extension; such an insult couldn't be taken lightly.

Twilight, on the other hand, had an idea that the creator would know.

Sure enough, upon turning to the creator, Twilight saw Veldanava was avoiding eye contact with him with a sheepish grin.

'...What's happening.'

"Oi, You can insult that fool all you want. But to insult my creator is to insult your creator also, or don't tell me, that fool's foolishness is contagious?"

Luminous was the one who spoke up this time.

By "that fool," she was referring to Dawn.

While she lacked the fighting prowess Dawn had naturally from birth, she, on the other hand, wasn't as hot-headed as she was.

She already knew of the relationship between Twilight and Veldanava.

"What are you–!?"

By the time he'd realize it… The angel had realized he made a blunder.

Feldway looked towards Veldanava, who silently shook his head.

"Veldanava-sama—"

He tried calling out to Veldanava; however, Dawn had cut him off.

Approaching him with another magicule-imbued fist.

Perhaps it was because of that insult towards the person he was connected to…

Thus… he made a wish.

[Notice, Individual Dawn Valentine has acquired Unique Skill: Conqueror.]

Such words echoed in the main palace of the heavenly star palace.

The Voice of The World had announced this.

"See, you shitty pigeon, the World is on my side!"

Now, the Magicules-imbued fist was further amplified by the new unique skill that had been granted to him.

"Kuh! You vile—nngh!"

Before he could speak… he was caught off guard again.

… Did the Voice of The World just announce Dawn had gained a unique skill?

The Primordial Angel's worst day was evidently today.

The man he was jealous of suddenly birthed races that the Creator had more interest in.

More so, the interest Veldanova has towards Twilight… The Primordial Angel couldn't bear such.

WHAM!

A sound like that was made, as the Magicules-imbued fist, further amplified by his Unique Skill, landed on Feldway's face.

"Looks like Dawn won this round, albeit Feldway was caught off guard."

Veldanava said, although he didn't like fighting as he felt everyone should co-exist.

However, the creator, more than anyone, realized this was perhaps his wishful thinking.

But then, a fight that doesn't involve killing like this was welcome.

Especially seeing the creation of his creation win a fight against his creation.

POTENTIAL~✨️

The creator thought.

"Dawn was simply lucky, besides he had help from his sister."

Twilight had said, making Luminous smile at the comment.

But they knew this win especially wouldn't sit with the Primordial Angel.

"Don't get cocky, you had only—"

Feldway began, but for the nth time, he was cut off again.

However, this time, it was coming from his creator which only worsened his day.

"Feldway, stand down. You've done well. If you weren't so distracted, I'd have loved to see how you'll counter Dawn's attack."

Veldanava meant those words as encouragement; however, it just made it worse for the Primordial.

From here forth, the Primordial Angel—Feldway's mentality had begun worsening.

But regardless of Feldway's bitterness. With a silent nod, he stood and stepped back.

"See, I told you 'twas worth it."

Dawn had gone back to Luminous, who ignored him entirely, as if he didn't exist.

On that note…

"By the way, Veldanava. What did Feldway mean by that?"

Twilight had approached the creator and asked; however, the creator winced at that.

"Well… it's kind of a graphic situation…"

Twilight frowned in confusion. "....?"

Veldanava felt such a thing wasn't suitable to be talked about; hence, he tapped Twilight's forehead.

He sent a mental image to Twilight.

Upon doing so, Twilight's calm expression drastically changed.

"What the— this wasn't what I meant when I said procreate!"

Twilight immediately spun toward Dawn.

"Dawn! Annihilate the Great Pioneer Dynasty of Jazil! Now! Nuke them from existence! Eviscerate them!"

Twilight fumed as he gave such an order to his male alter-ego, who blinked cluelessly at him. "Uh… what?"

"Perhaps you should've been clearer in your teachings, Twilight."

"Nngh–!" Twilight groaned.

For the first time in many years, Twilight found himself being rebuked by his creator.

And such words sent an arrow to his heart.

'To let Veldanava see such a thing. Ahhh…. That foolish race deserves annihilation ten times over!'

But as the frustration simmered, Twilight began to reflect. Perhaps the fault didn't entirely lie with his creations.

Perhaps it was his fault.

Consumed by his own research, he had neglected his responsibilities.

He hadn't taught his creations well.

Especially since after Abel's death.

Twilight had withdrawn entirely his attention from them to focus on other projects.

However, this only worsened things.

Afterall, from ADAM and EVE, down to their current descendants all regard Twilight as God.

But to make things worse.

The one time Twilight had reemerged, the tribes descended from Cain were locked in a brutal struggle for supremacy.

Frustrated with the slow progress, Twilight had made a hasty decision.

He gave an order.

And in the end, the tribes eventually split into six factions, each founding one of the great Empires.

Yet even after a century, their wars continued.

And the worst of them all was Jazil, the ruler of the Great Pioneer Dynasty.

"More than that. The dispersed Vampire Races too have began causing problems too."

Twilight had neglected his creations for far too long.

"Twilight…"

Veldanava's gentle voice pulled Twilight from his thoughts.

"Veldanava…. I'm sorry, I'll fix this…"

Embarrassed, that was the only reply he could give.

Standing off to the side, Feldway—still nursing his pride—suddenly felt an odd sense of satisfaction.

Seeing Twilight get scolded by Veldanava brought him an odd sense of joy.

"Don't worry too much. Not everything can go well for everyone. Perhaps this is an opportunity to appoint someone who can help keep the world in check."

Hearing that, Twilight perked up as he looked at Veldanava.

Truly, if such a person were to be appointed, they'd have to be as powerful as Feldway or Dagruel to act as such a person.

To keep the world in check is to keep his creation in check.

Twilight knew he wasn't the one for the job.

With that in mind, he turned to someone who could handle part of the burden.

"Luminous, the problematic vampires, can you rally all of them and bring them under you."

She, Luminous, who had been beside Dawn, behind Twilight, suddenly blinked.

"Me?"

Naturally, it occurred to her that Dawn wasn't the person for the job.

And while managing an entire race was no small feat, the vampires were less populous than the sprawling High-Human empires.

After a moment of thought, she nodded.

"Very well then, I shall accept this task."

"Not bad, that would also keep Vampires in check, and you'll be their Ancestor."

Veldanava said so as he unknowingly blessed Luminous with the "Ancestor" title he bestowed on her like he had done for Twilight.

Now amongst them, Twilight was the most blessed by Veldanava.

And now, Luminous has been blessed too.

And now… The only one without a blessing was… problematic.

Was that what should be said?

It wasn't that Dawn lacked capabilities, no.

On the contrary, it seemed as though Dawn had inherited the Original Twilight's traits, while Luminous leaned more toward the Foreign Twilight's.

It was confusing but nothing the creator couldn't handle.

"Then, for now, Dawn should keep the place Twilight had talked about in check. You should be able to handle that, yes?"

Coaxing Dawn with a blessing, though the male in question might have caught on…

"Sure. It's just to give them a little warning, yes?"

For some reason, Veldanava felt Dawn emphasize the little part a little more than normal.

'I doubt that a little part.'

In fact, both Veldanava and Twilight had the same thought process.

"At the very least, this world is shaping itself. I don't mind the mistakes."

He smiled to himself.

As the sovereign creator, he had relinquished both omnipotence and omniscience.

Who was he to demand perfection from his creations when he himself was far from flawless?

Well… perhaps excluding the… graphic part about High-Humans procreating with magical beasts.

Even the Star King has his limits.

But well… Despite its imperfections, this world wasn't so bad after all.
