Chapter 5.

-Twilight-
One would be shocked at how much time flew quickly.
Maybe because Twilight now had other jobs of researching magic to his content, or maybe because of the growing Artificial Non-Divine Autonomous Material-lifeform or ADAM for short.
Regardless, he looked almost proudly at the figure in the glass tank.
It's been about some years since then. To Twilight, it was just like it was two months ago.
Or maybe it's because time had been distorted in Eden that even he didn't notice.
But certainly he had grown smarter and more compatible for things like this.
"Adam is coming up nicely. What about Eve…"
Elevated Versatile Non-Divine Material Entity.
EVE.
After studying Adam for a year, with it having developed into a baby with a specific gender—
Twilight had sighed in relief.
What he felt rather than happiness was relief. Back then, what he said was:
"I've finally succeeded in fulfilling his wish."
Though in the end, Twilight couldn't help but feel proud at his achievement, though it wasn't anything he'd brag about.
Eve was created a female, who would be Adam's partner.
Okay, he may have messed up at some point as they were rather, High Humans than normal Humans.
Perhaps, it was because of Twilight's own flesh and genetic information.
But it didn't matter.
If he left them to procreate, at some point, their bloodline would thin out eventually. The only problem would be just when.
It doesn't matter how much time will pass, but then as generations pass, the unique traits, abilities, or powers associated with their specific bloodline or lineage become less pronounced or weaker.
This way. It can be said that his goal had been accomplished.
And even then, at the very least, he has a piece of sample of their Genetic Information, and Flesh.
Most of its composition was exactly around seventy percent match with Twilight's.
The information, such as DNA, blood composition, and the likes—that is.
He did have the option of cultivating both of their genetic information and continuing his experiments, however one side of him wanted him to stop with that.
"As if creating life with my hands isn't enough."
He would have honestly loved to toss back the work onto the creator and study Magic in peace, but what could he do?
Besides, it's been long since he had gone back to the Heavenly Star Palace.
"Might as well take a visit there… More than that, perhaps, it's time to show Veldanava the result of his assignments."
Deciding it was time for so, Twilight had drained the supportive spirit–infused water.
He been monitoring their state for a long time and was naturally aware that both had gained awareness.
Since today marked the fiftieth year since then, he had decided to free both of them.
-Heavenly Star Palace-
For the Dragon King and the inhabitants of the Heavenly Star Palace.
It had been another day…? Year….?
Whatever it was for the creator, still, it looked like there were no signs of new species emerging.
"Has Twilight failed?"
Sometimes he couldn't help but think so, afterall, it's been long he had heard from his creation.
To say "it's been long" is a misuse of the word.
Perhaps, it's because of anticipation the Dragon King had thought so.
For an immortal being like him.
Fifty years might as well be nothing more than two days.
And maybe that's why.
When excited about an upcoming thing. Time would seem slower than it would seem.
But that can't be helped can it?
Creating Humans with no means of production wasn't something that an asexual person can do right?
Maybe he had too many hopes for Twilight.
But one part of him had believed the new Twilight wouldn't let him down.
However…
"Tsk. That one…. he dares worry Veldanava-sama like this. Please give me the order, I shall summon our legion and drag him out of hiding! Just say the word my Lord."
Feldway was oddly enthusiastic standing behind him.
Currently, he was seated in front of a coffee table, and had pretty much invited the most reasonable, intelligent and sentient of people to talk with.
"Ah. Is it that person you told me about back then?"
Ramiris had asked with a tilt of her head, ignoring Feldway and his antics as usual.
It had been almost a habit for them to converge here and have a talk over tea since… well….
There wasn't much for the neet creator to do.
It's pretty much the same for the Administrator of Stars and the current Titan King.
Currently, the Spirits and True Giants were the only predominant and intelligent species in the Cardinal World.
The rest of the species around the Cardinal World were simply Magical Beast made from the highly concentrated magicules around.
"Twilight…."
Dagruel muttered so as he looked at Feldway who was opening showing hostility to said person.
He had clashed with Feldway before, and despite Feldway's failure to subdue him.
Feldway was indeed strong.
But then, for the Angel to show such hostility… He couldn't help but be curious.
The True Giant—slash Titan King—who sat was once the Mad King: Ashura who wrecked havoc upon the land.
With his unleashed tyranny upon the land that not even the Primordial Angels or the Administrator of Stars could subdue.
Veldanava himself had personally stepped in and split the Mad Titan into three.
Dagruel who sat here was one of the Mad Titan that had been split into three.
It was thanks to Veldanava, splitting him into three was he able to regain what could be called a semblance of rationality without the constant urge for destruction.
Veldanava too, like the rest of them, had ignored Feldway's comments.
More like he was almost tired of it.
But he couldn't say that nor show it, can he?
"Hn. Since I couldn't do it. I had delegated it to him. Though now that I think about it, he seemed more interested in magic rather than what I assigned to him."
"So, you forced him, Veldanava?"
Ramiris had asked such taking the Dragon King aback.
"What? No way."
However, despite the refutal, Ramiris still bore a stare at Veldanava, but she knew the creator wouldn't lie.
Rather, why should he lie?
If Twilight—the foreign one—had straight up told him so that he wasn't interested, though he'd be sad. Veldanava would have thought of another way.
One way or the other, at the very least.
"Hm. If I may. I'd advise it is best to give them more time. They may have hit some setbacks in their experiment."
Dagruel had given his own piece of advice. Afterall, it had just been fifty years.
"Dagruel is right, Veldanava."
Ramiris seemed to side with Dagruel.
If anything, if it had been a thousand years since then, it may have been that something had happened.
However, it hadn't been long.
Fifty years to them is just as easy to them as closing their eyes and waking up the next day.
"Maybe I'm too inpatient."
The lament of a true immortal.
Boredom.
It's no wonder the Dragon King is in anticipation of what is to come.
It's like a gamer who has seen a potentially interesting game, and will have to wait years till its release.
That is how it is for them, however—
"Veldanava-sama."
A beautiful woman with wavy black hair with vertical teardrop-like markings on her forehead had approached them, falling to one knee as she addressed her creator.
This woman is one of the Primordial Angels—Obera.
"Hm? Obera, what is it?"
"... Twilight-sama is back. He claims that he has completed the first half of the assignment you assigned to him."
"Huh?"
Veldanava paused mid-way as he stared at Obera for a moment.
Even Ramiris and Dagruel had to pause and make a double take at that.
However, they were quick to calm themselves.
"... I see. Invite him in."
"At once."
Veldanava said so. Prompting the Primordial Angel to go fetch the person in question.
"Uhm. Remind me again how many years it had been."
Almost dumbfounded, Ramiris had asked, but Dagruel Instead spoke up this time.
"Fifty years if I remember correctly."
"T-that's—"
Absurd.
Yes she wanted to say that, but seeing Veldanava smiling himself made her unable to complete her words.
It was then Twilight entered the room.
Certainly, unlike Fifty years ago, the air, aura, and demeanor around him had changed.
Veldanava couldn't help but be amazed.
"It's an honor to be in your presence again, my creator."
Twilight had said that falling to one knee alongside a curt bow to Veldanava before acknowledging the remaining that sat with him.
"I hear you have completed it! Is that true! Twilight, is that true!?"
Veldanava was more excited than anything and had approached Twilight gripping his shoulders looking at his creation with his almost star-like eyes.
"Y–yeah."
Twilight was taken aback, but recomposed himself with a light cough.
"Ah… sorry."
"No. It's nothing."
Having calmed down, Twilight now began to explain what he had been doing for the past Fifty years.
The process of cultivating his own life essence, flesh and genetic information.
In the end, it resulted in the birth of High-Humans. Those close to Divinity with a long lifespan.
"Artificial Non-Divine Autonomous Material-lifeform, ADAM, and Elevated Versatile Non-Divine Material Entity, EVE."
"I have created these two and paired them with reproductive organs that would allow them to reproduce offspring through the act of mating."
At the mention of that, Ramiris was the only one who closed her eyes with her hands as if she had some aversion to that concept.
Dagruel and Veldanava mostly remained calm, listening to him.
Until Dagruel now calmly raised a question.
"If they bear your genetic information, wouldn't all of their offspring be closer to Divinity—you instead, along the line, it may result in unexpected circumstances, wouldn't it?"
Dagruel at a glance was able to deduce Twilight's identity.
Additionally, the amount of Magicules Twilight himself was giving off, at a glance, he could tell, for someone who had spent his time on research, Twilight seemed to have an interest elsewhere.
"You don't have to worry. You underestimate the erosion of time and how genetics work."
As he said that word, Veldanava, the creator obviously understood.
"While they may have a high percentage of my genetic information, it's true that one closer to me will be born along the line."
"But at the same time, there is a chance that overtime, that seventy percent will water down before eventually thinning out."
"At the very least, that is what I bet on. If both reproduce, and birth forth ten offspring, there is a chance, one amongst them will be born with a watered down percentage, and that is where things get interesting."
Hearing this. Veldanava couldn't be more satisfied.
No. He was already satisfied hearing Twilight had succeeded in creating something that wasn't internetly divine and asexual by nature.
There is hope.
"As expected! I wasn't wrong about you! You've surpassed my expectations!"
Veldanava couldn't be more happy at this.
And even Dagruel himself was beyond impressed with Twilight's work.
