The night was quiet as Adison and Evan sat in the dimly lit living room. The flickering light from the fireplace cast soft shadows on the walls. Adison's gaze was tender and filled with longing as he began to speak.
"Sara," Adison started softly, "do you remember how we used to be? Those days were the happiest of my life." He paused, searching Evan's eyes for any sign of recognition. "We were inseparable, always together, always in love."
Evan listened, feeling a mixture of emotions but tried to remain composed. "I... I don't really remember much, Adison."
Adison nodded, his expression gentle. "I understand. But let me remind you. Do you recall our first date? The little café by the park? You were so nervous, you spilled coffee all over yourself."
Evan managed a small smile, though it felt forced. "Yeah, sounds like something I'd do."
Adison's eyes twinkled with nostalgia. "You laughed it off, saying it was your way of breaking the ice. And that laugh, Sara, it was infectious. It made me fall for you even more."
Evan shifted uncomfortably but let Adison continue.
"And the time we went hiking up the mountain," Adison said, his voice filled with warmth. "You were so determined to reach the top, even when it started raining. We were drenched, but we stood there, looking out over the valley, holding hands. It felt like we were on top of the world."
Evan swallowed hard, feeling a lump forming in his throat. "I wish I could remember that."
Adison leaned in closer, his voice becoming more earnest. "Our life together was beautiful. Do you remember our anniversary trip to the beach? The sunset was breathtaking, and that's when I proposed to you. Right there, with the waves crashing and the sky painted in shades of pink and orange."
Evan's heart ached with the weight of the memories that weren't his. He tried to respond, but his voice faltered. "Adison, I..."
Adison reached out, taking Evan's hands in his own. "I know it's hard, Sara. But we had something special. Our love was real, and it still is. I want you to remember that."
Evan pulled his hands back, feeling overwhelmed. "Bro, leave it. I don't remember anything. This is just too much."
Adison's face fell, sadness creeping into his eyes. "I understand, Sara. But please, think about us, our relationship. Even for a moment."
Evan sighed deeply, the discomfort growing inside him. "I get it, Adison. But it's really hard for me. I'm trying, but this whole situation is just... awkward."
Adison tried to press on gently. "I know Jaxon has been there for you, but he has his own life, his own things to do. I'm here for you, always. I want to help you get through this."
Evan didn't respond, the tension thick in the air. He just wanted to get through the night and forget this conversation ever happened.
Suddenly, a knock at the door broke the tension. Both of them turned to look, and Evan's heart skipped a beat. Standing in the doorway was Yoona.
Evan's eyes widened in shock and delight. Unable to contain his emotions, he ran to her and hugged her tightly. "Yoona! Where have you been? I missed you so much! Why didn't you come to see me?"
The room fell silent, everyone taken aback by Evan's sudden outburst. Yoona stood still, her expression unreadable. She gently pushed Evan back, her hands on his shoulders. "Do you remember me, Sara?"
Evan blinked, confusion washing over him. Adison, equally puzzled, asked, "Why did you run and hug Yoona like that? Did you remember something?"
It took a moment for Evan to process the situation. He had almost forgotten he was in Sara's body. He stepped back, his mind racing. Why was Yoona here? How did she know Sara?
Evan's voice trembled as he asked, "Who... who is she?"
Adison sighed, a flicker of hope in his eyes. "For a moment, I thought you remembered. This is Yoona, my sister."
The words hit Evan like a tidal wave. Sister? How could this be? From the first day he met Yoona, she had always said she had no one. She was an orphan.
Evan stepped back further, his body shaking. "How... how is this possible? Is this a dream?"
He looked at Yoona, disbelief etched on his face. She looked back at him, her eyes filled with a mixture of emotions. Evan's mind was a whirlwind of confusion and questions. What was going on? How could Yoona be Adison's sister? And what did this mean for him?
As the reality of the situation began to sink in, Evan felt his world unraveling. Everything he thought he knew was now in question. He stared at Yoona, his heart pounding, unable to believe his eyes. The room spun around him, the overwhelming emotions and shocking revelations too much to bear.
Evan's vision blurred, and he felt his knees give way. The last thing he saw was Yoona's concerned face as darkness enveloped him. He couldn't take the situation any longer and lost consciousness, collapsing to the floor.
Adison and Yoona rushed to his side, panic and worry etched on their faces. "Sara! Sara, wake up!" Adison called, shaking him gently.
Yoona looked at Adison, her eyes wide with fear. "What do we do?"
Adison's voice was firm, though his own fear was evident. "We need to get her to the hospital. She needs medical attention immediately."
Together, they lifted Evan and hurried him to the car, racing against time to get him the help he needed. The weight of the situation pressed down on them, and the truth of their tangled pasts hung heavily in the air.
When Evan woke up, he looked around the room, disoriented. The sterile smell and white walls told him he was in a hospital. His head throbbed with pain, and he groaned, touching his forehead. It felt like he had just woken from a terrible dream. He took a deep breath, trying to piece together what had happened. Was it all a dream? Or was it real? And if it was real, why was he back in the hospital?
The questions swirled in his mind, and he couldn't stop thinking about them. He carefully got out of the bed, feeling unsteady, and made his way to the door. He opened it slowly, and his heart nearly stopped when he saw Yoona standing right in front of him.
A wave of shock and fear washed over him, and he screamed, unable to contain his emotions.
