Jaxon sighed, realizing the gravity of the situation. "It's complicated, Carl. But you deserve to know the truth."
Carl looked genuinely concerned. "Alright, I'm listening."
Jaxon took a deep breath and began to explain. "Evan and I have been dealing with something extraordinary. There's this rare phenomenon called the Black Moon Night, where strange things happen. During this time, Evan's soul was exchanged with that of a girl named Sara."
Carl's eyes widened in shock. "Are you serious? That sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie."
Jaxon nodded. "I know it's hard to believe, but it's real. Evan is currently in Sara's body, and Sara is in Evan's. We're trying to find a way to reverse it."
Carl processed the information, still in disbelief. "So, that means the girl you've been talking about is actually Evan?"
Jaxon confirmed, "Yes, it's Evan. That's why we've been acting so secretive. We need to figure this out without anyone finding out."
Carl leaned back, shaking his head in amazement. "I can't believe it. How are you dealing with all of this?"
"It's been tough," Jaxon admitted. "We've been trying to gather as much information as we can about the Black Moon Night and how to reverse the soul exchange. But it's not easy. Adison's been making things even more complicated with his behavior."
Carl sighed. "I've known Evan for a long time. He's strong, but this is a lot to handle. How's he holding up?"
Jaxon glanced at Alex. "He's trying to stay strong, but it's taking a toll on him. We're doing everything we can to support him."
Carl nodded, his expression serious. "If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know."
"We appreciate it, Carl. Right now, we're trying to piece together any clues that might help us understand the Black Moon Night better. Alex has been doing a lot of research," Jaxon said.
Alex chimed in, "We're hoping to find some kind of solution, but it's going to take time. We have to be patient and keep digging."
Carl looked determined. "Count me in. I'll do whatever I can to help."
Jaxon smiled, feeling a sense of relief. "Thanks, Carl. It means a lot."
As they finished their conversation, Jaxon's phone buzzed. He looked at the screen and saw a text from Evan: *Where are you? I need to talk to you.*
Jaxon quickly replied: *On my way. Hang tight.*
Turning to Carl and Alex, Jaxon said, "I need to go. Evan needs me."
Carl patted Jaxon on the back. "Go. We've got your back."
Jaxon nodded and hurried out of the café, his mind racing with thoughts of how to help Evan. He knew they had a long road ahead, but with friends like Carl and Alex by his side, he felt more hopeful than ever.
---
Back at the house, Evan was pacing in his room, his thoughts a whirlwind of confusion and determination. He needed to learn more about Adison and uncover his secrets. The journal he found in Sara's room had given him some insight, but he needed more.
Evan's phone buzzed, and he saw a text from Jaxon: *I'm here. Meet me in the backyard.*
Evan quickly made his way to the backyard, where Jaxon was waiting. "What's going on?" Evan asked, his voice filled with urgency.
Jaxon took a deep breath. "Carl knows everything now. He's on our side and willing to help."
Evan felt a wave of relief. "That's great news. We need all the help we can get."
Jaxon nodded, his expression serious. "Yeah, but there's something bothering me. We've already looked into Adison's background and found nothing suspicious. So why won't they tell us anything? Why keep it a secret?"
Evan frowned, contemplating Jaxon's words. "You're right. If there's nothing wrong, why keep us in the dark? It doesn't add up. Something is definitely wrong."
Jaxon sighed. "Exactly. There has to be more to this. We need to find out what they're hiding."
Evan's eyes suddenly lit up with an idea. "What if we follow them? We can track Adison and Yoona, see where they go, who they meet, and what they do. They must be hiding something."
Jaxon considered the plan. "It's risky, but it might be the only way to get answers. We need to be careful, though. If they catch on, it could make things worse."
Evan nodded in agreement. "We'll be discreet. We can take turns following them, gather as much information as we can. It's the only way to uncover the truth."
Jaxon put a hand on Evan's shoulder, a look of determination in his eyes. "Alright, let's do this. We'll start following Adison and Yoona, see what they're up to. If they're hiding something, we'll find out."
Evan felt a renewed sense of determination. "We're in this together, Jaxon. Let's get to the bottom of this."
Jaxon nodded. "Together."
---
As Jaxon approached his car, he was taken aback to see Adison standing in front of it, blocking his path. "Here we go," Jaxon muttered under his breath.
Adison smirked. "Surprised?"
Jaxon maintained his composure. "Not really. What do you want, Adison?"
Adison's smirk faded into a scowl. "Why don't you stay in this house, Jaxon? You think you're some kind of hero? You're just a nuisance."
Jaxon didn't let the insult get to him. Instead, he smiled and replied, "That's a good idea. I hadn't thought of it that way."
Adison sighed in exasperation. "You're a headache, Jaxon.
Jaxon's smile remained fixed. " Adison? Don't you think you're too good for Sara? Why don't you give her a chance?"
Adison's anger flared up, and he called Jaxon a bastard, reaching out to grab his shirt collar. "You think you can just waltz in here and take everything away from me?"
Jaxon didn't flinch. "I'm not trying to take anything away from you. You're the one causing trouble, not me."
Adison's grip tightened, but Jaxon remained calm. "Let go, Adison. This isn't helping anyone."
Adison hesitated, his anger still simmering. He released Jaxon's collar and took a step back. "Stay out of my way, Jaxon. This is your last warning."
Jaxon adjusted his shirt and nodded. "Noted. But remember, I'm not the enemy here."
With that, Adison turned and walked away, leaving Jaxon standing by his car. Jaxon took a deep breath, knowing that the confrontation with Adison was far from over. He couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of Adison's accusations. How could Adison think he was in love with Evan—his own brother?
