Chapter 12 - UNVEILING THE SHADOW

Evan's scream echoed through the hospital corridor. His heart raced as he looked at Yoona, unable to believe his eyes. Yoona stepped forward, her expression a mix of concern and confusion. "Sara, are you okay?" she asked gently.

Evan backed away, feeling the walls close in on him. His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. "I-is it really you?" he asked, his voice trembling.

Yoona nodded, her eyes searching his for understanding. "Yes, it's me. Are you feeling alright? You fainted earlier."

Evan touched his head, the pain a stark reminder of the overwhelming situation. "I... I don't know. Everything feels like a bad dream."

Yoona reached out to touch his arm, her touch warm and reassuring. "You're safe now. The doctors said you need to rest."

Evan shook his head, the questions swirling in his mind. "Why are you here? And... how can you be his sister?"

Yoona sighed, her expression turning serious. "There's a lot you need to know. But first, let's get you back to bed. You're in no condition to have this conversation standing up."

Reluctantly, Evan allowed Yoona to guide him back to the bed. As he lay down, still struggling to make sense of everything. His heart raced as he looked at Yoona, unable to believe his eyes. As Yoona came closer, his vision blurred. He felt like he was hearing a man's voice calling out his name, "Sara, are you okay? Why did you scream? Open your eyes. Everything is fine."

When his vision cleared, he saw Adison standing in front of him. Surprised, he quickly got up from the bed. "Where is she? Where did she go?" Evan asked, his voice filled with urgency.

Adison looked confused and concerned. "What are you talking about, Sara?"

Evan looked around the room, disoriented. "Where am I? What happened?" he asked, his mind racing with questions.

Adison gently placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him down. "You might have had a bad dream, Sara. Everything is okay now. Just try to relax."

Evan took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. He was still confused, his mind filled with the image of Yoona. "Where is that girl?" he asked, his voice trembling.

Adison's concern deepened. "Which girl, Sara?"

Evan replied in a low voice, "That girl... Yoona."

Adison sighed, understanding dawning on his face. "Yoona didn't come, Sara. She couldn't make it."

Evan felt a pang of disappointment but didn't respond. He was still trying to make sense of everything. "Is she really your sister?" he asked, his voice filled with confusion.

Adison nodded. "Yes, she is. You lost your memory, so you might not remember her. Yoona and I have always been together. We only have each other, no one else."

Evan listened, feeling a storm of emotions inside him. He remembered Yoona telling him she had no one else, that she was an orphan. How could this be possible? What was happening?

Seeing Evan's silence, Adison continued. "Sara, you and Yoona were very close. You were best friends. She cared about you a lot."

Evan remained silent, his mind racing. Everything he thought he knew about Yoona was now in question. He couldn't understand what was going on. He felt lost and confused, unable to process the revelations.

Adison tried to reassure him. "It's going to be okay, Sara. Just give it some time. You'll remember everything soon."

Evan nodded, but his mind was still in turmoil. "Adison, can you give me some time alone?"

Adison looked concerned but nodded. "Of course. Have some rest."

As Adison opened the door to leave, he saw Jaxon standing there. Adison's expression shifted to one of surprise. "Hey, Jaxon. I wasn't expecting to see you."

Jaxon smiled, his demeanor calm. "Yeah, I'm here."

Adison hesitated before speaking. "Sara wants to be alone for some time. I don't think she can meet you right now."

But Evan, having heard them, interjected. "He can come in."

Adison forced a smile, though it was clear he wasn't pleased. "Alright," he said reluctantly, then left them alone.

Evan, still overwhelmed with confusion, looked at Jaxon. "I don't know what's going on, Jaxon. I can't believe my eyes."

Jaxon sat down beside him, concern etched on his face. "What happened? Are you okay?"

Evan sighed deeply. "I saw Yoona."

Jaxon's eyes widened in genuine surprise. "Yoona? Seriously? Where? When? How?"

Evan felt a lump in his throat. "At Sara's home."

Jaxon looked puzzled, struggling to process the information. "What? What was she doing there?"

Evan shook his head, still trying to make sense of everything. "I don't even know. I just met her."

Jaxon furrowed his brows, his confusion deepening. "But why would she be at Sara's house? I thought she was here to see you."

Evan looked at Jaxon, his voice shaky. "Did you know Yoona is an orphan?"

Jaxon nodded slowly, still trying to understand. "Y-yes, I know. Everyone knows that."

Evan's voice was filled with disbelief. "Adison said she is his sister."

Jaxon blinked in confusion, his mind reeling. "Who's sister? What are you talking about?"

"His sister," Evan replied, his voice filled with frustration and confusion.

Jaxon took a deep breath, trying to make sense of it all. "Bro, I'm not getting what you're saying. Are you sure about this?"

Evan sat down properly, his head in his hands. "There's so much confusion. I don't know what to do. Adison and Yoona... they're siblings. How is this possible?"

Jaxon listened intently as Evan explained everything that had happened at Sara's home. He could see the sadness and confusion in Evan's eyes. "How could this be happening? What's going on?"
