Wellington Mansion 

It was morning again, the sun observes its daily ritual of casting golden rays over the Wellington mansion, but the warmth outside complimented the cold within its walls. Marina woke up early, her mind already restless, for it has been so these past few days. Despite Old Man Wellington's kind soothing words the night before, she couldn't help but worry about Amira's presence. 

After dressing up, she headed downstairs, only to find Summer and Amira already seated at the dining table, their laughter grating on her nerves. They looked like two coup plotters sharing a secret, and Marina couldn't help but feel the target of their low whispers. She sensed she was the center of their chatter. 

"Good morning," Marina said curtly as she walked past them to grab a cup of tea.

Summer raised an eyebrow. "Well, someone clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed," she remarked with mockery.
