Wellington Mansion
Marina stared at the note in her hand, her heart racing uncontrollably. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TRUST. The words looked almost accusatory, and left her with an eerie kind of feeling. She turned the card over, but there was no signature neither was there an additional clue.
She walked across her room, the box and note now lying on the bed. Who would do this? She asked no one in particular. The first thought that got into her head was Amira—this had her fingerprints all over it, it would definitely be her. But there was something else that made her question whether it was truly Amira.
Still holding the note, she stormed out of her room in anger and headed straight for Aiden's office.

Aiden looked up from his laptop as Marina burst into the room without knocking. He frowned slightly, taking in her tense posture. "Marina, what's wrong?" Without saying a word, she placed the note on his desk. He picked it up and read the words.
