In Ethereal Mansion, everyone again witnessed an omega chasing an alpha and actually not being left behind.
Julian was naturally stronger and faster than other omegas hence it was not hard to chase his brother. However, just as he was one second away, someone stood in their way making them stop abruptly.
They both looked at the beauty in front of them from whom they probably inherited their looks and gulped.
"Mother..." Wade was first to speak but he paused midway because their mother grabbed the tips of their ears.
They both cried out in pain.
"How many times do you want me to repeat myself? Must you always fight each other every time. You two have grown up for goodness' sake!" Lyanna scolded her two children as she mercilessly pulled their ears.
"But mom, he's the one..." Both sons started at the same time but their ears were pulled harder before they could continue making them apologize instead.
"We're sorry mom. We'll never do it again!" Wade spoke.
"Yes yes mom, we're sorry," Julian added and only then did Lyanna let go.
They rubbed their ear tips and glared at each other secretly. However, in the next moment, they held each other's hands as they smiled.
They looked good like that but she knew they were only putting up an act for her. However, she would never sit by and watch them fight in front of her. Her sons were going to love each other and help each other no matter what.
Her thoughts were not heard by the pair of siblings as they got into Wade's room and closed the door.
They were silent for a few seconds before Julian decided to attack. Before he could though, Wade surrendered and promised he would fix the phone.
"Good. You could have said so earlier," Julian harrumphed and left.
Wade felt his head ache from all the stress going on in his life. At the back of his mind, he was relieved that his dad never saw their fight and he knew Julian was relieved too.
If that had happened, who knows how Julian would have slept. That omega knew he wasn't favoured but still danced on a thin rope.
Wade was actually jealous of his brother's courage and fearlessness. With how he feared his father, he would have died if he wasn't the favoured son.
However, he still felt bad for his brother. They might have fought but in the end, they were brothers. With an exhausted sigh, he finally slept.
....
Three days later, Rylan was back to normal. The first thing he noticed was the closed room and he wondered what could have made his aunt close it.
He wore the clothes he had kept in there and then knocked the wall. Sure enough, Jasmine heard him and quickly opened the door disguised as a wall.
"You finally closed the door," he smiled.
"It's your fault for gaining attention. Tell me, how did that prince end up bringing you home?"
Rylan frowned, "I don't know, he came out of nowhere. But he did help me a lot."
"I don't care of he helped you or not, you stay away from him. I have a feeling he's not being nice for free."
"I know who he is aunt, I'll stay away from him."
Jasmine sighed, "I know it's hard living without friends but you have to understand that they can make you suffer."
"I have human friends, that's enough. I don't need others aunt."
"You're so good, why would they think you're dangerous?" She smiled, "Now hurry up and freshen up. There's a good meal waiting for you."
"Okay aunt then get out of my room."
"So you're chasing me out?"
"Stay there then and watch me remove my clothes." He lifted up his shirt and Jasmine quickly left.
He chuckled, in this life he was never going to disappoint his aunt.
She was the only person who loved the real him. The only one who could have abandoned him but chose to stay.
When his parents passed away, she stayed with him among the humans. Even though his mother had abandoned her she never left him.
If there ever came a time he was caught, he would do everything in his power to keep his aunt safe, even if it meant turning into the villain everyone thought he was.
He freshened up and ate the meal prepared for him. He still had to go check on his company back in the human world. It had been three days, he didn't want his assistant to worry.
He bid his aunt and left the house. Unbeknownst to him, a certain someone was waiting for him.
He got into his car and sped off. Behind him, another car followed.
Werewolves lived in seclusion from the humans hence it would be a long journey. After a while, Rylan noticed someone was following him.
He took a lot of turns and increased his speed but the person didn't give up. Did they find out his identity? Was that why he was being followed so openly?
With these thoughts, he stopped at an abandoned area. He got out of his car and walked behind the empty buildings.
Meanwhile, Wade also stopped. He walked for a while. "Why would an omega come here?" He wondered out loud.
"Maybe because an alpha is following him?" A voice answered behind him and he quickly turned.
Looking at the angry face before him, he scratched the back of his head as he laughed nervously, "You noticed."
"You didn't want me to?" Rylan asked. Why would this person follow him so closely if he didn't want to be discovered? Was he a fool or was he just pretending to be one?
Wade looked at the innocent eyes of the person in front of him. He had asked around and he was told Rylan was just a quiet omega. His eyes always displayed his innocence and he was also really polite.
However, he always kept his distance and never got close to anyone.
"I'm sorry. I just wanted to gain a new friend," Wade smiled.
"This is how you gain friends?"
"It's just really hard to find you."
"I don't want any friends, you can go back."
Even though Rylan spoke this, his voice still held the innocence everyone spoke about.
If this person was actually a lynx, then his acting skills were really superb.
Not to mention his control the other day.
Maybe he was mistaken, how could this person be a ferocious beast that knew nothing but killing?
He was obviously a cute innocent wolf who guarded himself against alphas. Maybe he was once hurt by other alphas.
'What about their reactions when I revealed my identity?'
Right, when he told Rylan his name, the person wanted to leave and when he told Jasmine, she chased him away.
Was it simply because they didn't want to get involved in pack politics?
"Hey, did you hear me?" Rylan snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Yeah, I heard you. But... I don't think I can give up. Everyone says you are the most innocent wolf in our pack just because of your eyes. I want to prove that we should never judge what is outside."
"I'm not innocent. There, you got it. Now please stop following me."
"But that's not enough evidence," Wade had an amused smile.
Rylan glared at him, but all the other person saw was a pair of cute eyes getting cuter. He didn't know whether it was an act or not but he liked it.
"You're cute," Wade spoke his heart.
"People don't really accept friends who follow them around you know."
"I'll still follow you," Wade gave his most sincere smile.
"Fine," he turned and got back to his car.
Wade too got into his own car and followed.
