Wade knew Lynxes had high alcohol tolerance. That's why he planned to test it. He had ordered a lot of drinks which were neither too light nor too strong.
An omega would get drunk after some glaces, even his brother who was a strong omega could not last long.
Rylan didn't know what plans Wade was cooking and thus he drank whatever he was given. After all, the drinks were not suspicious at all.
However, for some odd reason, he felt that the drinks were too strong, even for him. Everything was suddenly spinning and for a second he saw his aunt.
Confused he shook his head and looked carefully. No one was there. Was he really drank? But how? He clearly heard and saw what kind of drinks Wade ordered.
He didn't have time to think about it though since his head was spinning. He felt like he was flying and when he stood he almost fell if it wasn't for Wade's support.
"You're drunk," Wade said the obvious. However, this statement was foreign to Rylan. He couldn't even concentrate as his head didn't want to think. "I'll take you home," Wade offered sincerely.
"No," Rylan immediately refused. Just then he thought he had seen his aunt. If that was the case then didn't his aunt want him to go back home? He shook his head and forced his head to think.
He was a lynx, the strongest type of liquor could not make him drunk with the amount of glasses he took. Moreover, was he really drunk? Why did it feel like he was drugged instead?
However, which drug could make him feel this way after such a short time? He knew one but it was hard to get. And only the lynxes knew of its effects. No matter what, the alpha of Ethereal Pack wouldn't know about it.
That meant he really did see his aunt. His aunt...did this. Even though he knew Jasmine was only looking out for him, he really felt that she had gone too far.
Apexin was a drug that could make him really weak. It would make it easier for his enemies to attack and would last for hours.
Actually, it really could make it seem like he was drank.
"You don't want me to take you home?" Wade asked as he wondered how this omega could get home on his own.
"No...home...hotel...room," Rylan spoke word by word. He didn't want to give his aunt the satisfaction of seeing him weak after falling into her trap.
Wade on the other hand though he didn't want to get in trouble thus he agreed.
He helped Rylan outside and into Wade's car. Right as he sat in the car, Rylan's phone rang. The latter had his eyes closed and was mumbling incoherent words. He was in no condition to answer the phone and since they were not close, Wade didn't answer the call.
It's just that, as he drove, the phone rang and rang continuously as if the person calling had a machine that could hit call after each failed attempt. In the end, he couldn't handle it and stopped the car to answer the phone. Just what did this person want.
"Rylan!" A male voice was heard screaming. Wade had to pull the phone away from his ear. He looked at the name 'Elliot' and swore to keep this name in his heart. The day he would meet this man, he would be sure to avenge his ear!
"I'm sorry but Rylan can't answer your call right now," he still spoke respectfully since he had answered some else's phone, "So please stop calling."
Elliot paused when he heard the unfamiliar voice. First, he was hit by embarrassment since his voice was really loud. But then worry came, "Who are you? What are you doing with his phone?"
"I'm his friend and he just got drunk and passed out. I'm just giving him a ride home."
"Rylan? Drunk?" Elliot couldn't believe it. He himself had witnessed his friend drink countless bottles of liquor but still stand straight. Just how much did he drink to get drank?
"Yes, drunk."
"O...okay then. When he's sober please tell him I have something important to tell him."
Wade hummed and hang up the phone.
Elliot on the other hand stared at the phone before he was interrupted by a knock. He cursed softly. Why did he have to get drunk on such a day?
"I thought I told them to not let him come," he mumbled and opened the door. He was greeted by a smiling face which turned into a frown immediately.
Elliot had never seen this person before but he heard about him. He was Rylan's best friend. The reason he had never met Elliot who was also a close friend of Rylan was because Elliot always avoided him.
Why? Well, let's just say this person has a reputation for bullying others. This kind of person was not supposed to be associated with Rylan but since they grew up together, it just happened.
Now that Elliot saw Jaden he realized that there was a phrase that could be used to describe this moment for him.
'Hate at first sight'.
Yap, it was hate at first sight. Jaden's face was covered in what young people called men's make up. It was said that it made men more handsome and manly but what he saw was ugliness. He had to use all his strength to not punch this man.
"Who are you?" Jaden broke the silence that had strangely lingered.
"Mr. Brooks," Elliot bowed respectfully, "My name is Elliot Stone, I am Mr. Zeylor's assistant."
"Ooh?" Jaden was surprised to learn Elliot's identity. He had always imagined what Rylan's assistant looked like and he never expected him to be so... gorgeous. "Well, where is your boss?"
"I'm sorry sir but he's not here today."
"Really?" Jaden didn't seem disappointed as he closed the door. "Does it mean we're alone in this office right now?"
"Huh?" Elliot was confused as Jaden walked closer to him. Out of instinct, be moved back until he hit the wall behind him.
Jaden raised his hands and touched Elliot's face, "You're really... gorgeous."
Elliot's eyes widened and seeing this Jaden smiled. He loved seeing fear.
Seeing people fear him made him feel a sense of superiority. It made him feel that it was supposed to be that way and that's why he made everyone fear him. Only few could escape him.
He didn't think Elliot was one of them hence he was really shocked when the part between his legs was hit by a knee. He gasped as he used his hand to cover himself and stumbled backwards.
"Heh. I can't believe you're his best friend. Do you think he'll still consider you a friend if I tell him what you just did?" Elliot folded his arms as he looked down at his new enemy.
Truly, it was hate at first sight and hate throughout!
"He won't leave me, he knows he's my only friend ," Jaden still smiled at this time. He didn't seem scared or threatened, instead he seemed amused and interested.
"Shameless!" Elliot hissed, "Then leave! He's not here and as much as he won't leave you, he won't appreciate you making trouble."
Jaden didn't refuse. He knew Rylan would really get angry. Maybe he should've stopped to think before he acted.
"We're not done," Jaden left those words and left. He still walked uncomfortably which gave Elliot some satisfaction.
That's why he never wanted to meet this person. Seriously, Rylan had to end their friendship!
