It was a new day, and their first lecture was an hour and half away. Sirena woke up to see that true to her roommate's words, she had helped her pack up her stuff and fix them inside her wardrobe perfectly.
Sirena got out of bed and took a quick shower. Her roommates didn't even bother waking her up and she wondered why because they were all dressed and ready.
"Aren't you guys going for classes? Why wait for me?"
"Are you kidding? That has to be a trap. You want us to leave so you'll get mad at us later? I can't believe you're still setting traps around like this."
"What do you mean? I'm serious. You guys will be late. I have to rush now or I'll be late too."
"You know you don't have to lift a finger. Your father basically runs the school so I don't understand what the acting is for all of a sudden. Did something happen to you back at home? I miss the Old Sirena, the self aware queen. Do come back." Tori replied, looking rather annoyed. Tori was the blonde one, the one that met her at the hall.
Sirena could only sigh heavily as she dressed up too. She hurried up so they could leave together.
Soon enough they left and began their journey through the college, all the way to class. Sirena had memories that weren't hers so even though she somehow knew her way around, she still felt lost because she had never truly been there at first.
Everyone was wearing their uniform and all through her journey to the class, everybody kept looking at her strangely as if she was some kind of ghost. She found it so uncomfortable and decided to ignore it, but it was getting so hard to miss so she had to ask her roommates why she was receiving such treatment.
"Hey Tori, why are they looking at me like that?" Sirena asked, concerned. They stared at her like they hated her, like they were mad that she was back.
"Ugh, because they can't talk to you obviously. No one can dare to talk to you."
Tori replied snarkily, with an air of superiority.
"Yeah but why?" Sirena asked further because she couldn't understand and had no recollection of anything that happened.
"It's because you're queen Sirena, the untouchable."
"But what does it mean?" Sirena was getting ideas at this point but couldn't believe Tori was saying what she thought she was saying. So apparently, the old Sirena was some sort of rich spoiled school bully who hid under the shadow of her family to be mean.
"Seriously Sirena, did you hit your head somewhere? What's with all the questions you keep asking?"
Tori waved her hands around frustratedly as she stared at Sirena. It was clear that she was actually confused so Sirena decided to play smart immediately.
"Maybe I just want to hear it to feel good." Sirena smiled widely in a slightly provocative manner.
"You're so evil." Tori teased, going back to her normal composure as if she was satisfied with Sirena's reply.
"I know." She replied smiling, knowing fully well that it would've been something similar to what the old Sirena would've said in that moment.
As soon as they walked through the walls of the school, everybody began to clear for them to pass and with the look of things, Sirena knew that it would take forever to get the world to believe that she had changed even if she decided to start now.
They seemed scared of her for some reason. While a few elites walked up to her to wish her speedy recovery, the rest just stared at her. She paid no attention to it and followed the girls to their class for their first lecture after her 'big accident' that she knew nothing about. She knew better than to ask. She was just going to look for a way to find out.
When they got seated, Eva, the other roommate that offered to help her unpack, asked her if she got a new phone since she hadn't been online in their group chat.
"What's up with your phone? You've not been online."
"Oh, I lost my phone. My mother got me a new one and it's empty now. Do you mind sending me the link?"
"Absolutely. Let me send the one for the school and the one for the general forum as well." Eva replied, immediately getting to work and forwarding the links.
With one click, numbers were exchanged and Sirena had rejoined all the social platforms where she was concerned with.
It didn't take two minutes of her scrolling through to see mean messages about her. People hated her, damn! As she panicked, She wondered how the old Sirena had to deal with the hate comments. She definitely had a softer heart and even though she had no plans to break, it was looking like it was going to be her reality soon if she didn't do something.
People were even saying that they wished she died and didn't come back. The messages flew anonymously and while she was still reading, their first lecturer walked in for the day.
She recognized the lecturer, and not as the old Sirena. As Ayra. She had seen him on TV before, and he was an intelligent professor that had so much to say about world problems. Looking at him now, with the old Sirena's memories rushing into her head, she began to hate him. Actually, she began to understand where the old Sirena was coming from. She was so pretty that being sexualized was the norm around her.
He used to visit them when she was younger and tried to get them to have sexual conversations. She wasn't a minor then, but it still didn't make it right. Her parents would've never believed her so she didn't bother telling them. Now, staring at him again made her mad.
She couldn't even bear to stay in class because her anger was rising. Immediately standing up, she ran out to get some fresh air.
The whole class watched as she ran away but no one followed her, which was what she wanted. She wanted to be alone to clear her head.
She left the building as a whole and began to take a stroll towards the green garden close to it. Immediately she entered, the system's interface popped up before her.
[Host is in the right place. Portal, open up.]
Startled, she asked the system what it was talking about.
"What Portal?" She looked around hazily, preparing for the worst. She was already so exhausted and definitely not ready for anything surprising.
"Enjoy the ride." Angel said.
Immediately, she saw a cloud of green, which later became a cloud of different colors. As soon as it became clear, she saw another world on the other side.
[Walk in, your fourth task is here.]
