Sirena could only nod. She looked down from where she hovered to see the whole school gather and were watching the big fight. She locked eyes with the guy that she spoke to earlier and she couldn't miss the way his lips curled up in surprise. She didn't actually come to get Sephora and at least he knew that now.
To her surprise, sirens were all around her, including the dark skinned enchantress, Quinn.
Determined not to fail them, she decided to strike again but it was too late. Sephora got rid of the knives somehow and blasted her again, causing her to lose her balance and fall again.
As soon as her back hit the ground this time around, she knew it would hurt ten times worse.
As the crowd became thrown off in shock and fear, Sephora blasted her again and it made Sirena lose consciousness.
Sephora's eyes glistened with evil and an evil smirk played on her lips as she began to address the crowd. The crowd was thrown into pandemonium and even her speech couldn't organize them.
[Look at your chosen siren on the floor! I defeated her! I killed her! There's nothing anybody can do because once I leave here, I'll go straight to the tryphons. If you think you're capable of fighting me and dying, come out now so I can kill you and be on my way!"
Sephora hovered and screamed and as she browsed through the crowd, it was clear that nobody wanted to fight her.
Smirking to herself, she folded her arms and asked one more time.
"Nobody?"
The crowd didn't answer her because they were staring at something else. At some other being that was beginning to transform into something else.
All the while Sephora addressed the crowd Sirena begged for help, she cried for help as she was so weak that she felt dead. It's no wonder Sephora thought she had killed her. When Sirena didn't get any help, her rage surfaced and as she began to transform into something she didn't understand, she felt the power of someone else course through her veins. Actually, two people.
Standing up immediately, she was hidden inside a ball of light so strong that it could burn the eyes. Sephora turned back to see what the crowd was seeing and her face diminished in horror.
Sirena was shifting. She was shifting from her normal siren form to the highest form of the siren. Her rage was her power, and now it was the strongest it had ever been.
Sirena felt so much power, so much more than she could ever control. She saw herself transform into the most beautiful version of herself. She had a crown on her head, a black dress that fit her in all the right places, a spear that glistened in the night and a black socks that went all the way up to her knees. She felt powerful and Sephora could feel it too.
When the transformation ended, Sirena lifted herself off the ground to meet Sephora.
"How did you..how did you unlock this.."
She questioned as her heart sank.
"It was nev..never given to me in my own time! How did you manage to become the siren leader while I'm still alive!" She screamed and everyone watched the tears roll down her cheeks. She was stunned beyond control.
"It's because you never deserved it and our ancestors knew. Unfortunately for you, you were never the leader of the sirens, nor were you the chosen one. I had always been one and now I'm here to stop you and take my place."
Sirena had no idea how she knew all of that but while in that haze, it came out of her. Her subconscious suddenly knew what to say. She looked down at herself to see that she looked fully equipped for the baffle but at the same time, she looked tempting, like a piece of cake. It would be hard to get anyone to take her seriously in that outfit but she smirked because it was even better for her. The more future victims don't suspect a thing, the better for her.
Visible fear was all over Sephora's face.
"Please, spare me. Please, I promise to never betray the sirens and to worship you until death. Please, spare me."
Sirena cried out, begging and crying profusely.
She went down on her knees after flying down to the ground, shocking everyone. It was clear that she had an idea about the power that Sirena wielded and she'll never be a match.
Sirena was too far gone to think clearly. Sephora would've truly killed her and hurt her, therefore she deserved no mercy.
Sirena glared down at her, disgusted that she was begging because she knew it's only because she wanted her life to be spared.
"She's lying to you. If you spare her, she'll never let you go. She'll keep trying to hurt you and look for a way to fulfill her plans."
The AI came to let her know, but Sirena already had an idea.
"Angel, it's obvious. Everyone can see past her. For someone that has been planning this for centuries, there's no way she'll give up now because of my silly form and a spear."
"It's not just a spear. You should strike it directly at her heart. It's the only way to kill her completely and make sure she stops reincarnating."
Sirena gasped upon hearing that information.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" She whined silently, she didn't want people to notice that she was 'talking' to herself.
"It will take you time to figure it out anyway." The ai replied, teasing Sirena.
"I hate you." She spat.
"Sure. Look out!" The AI alerted her on time.
Just before Sephora would fly up and try to hurt her, Sirena shot her another round of daggers, pinned her to the wall before using the spare to stab her in her stomach.
Sephora received it with a yelp, and they stared at each other as if they were in their own little world.
"Any last words?" Sirena grinned wickedly, knowing fully well that she would've easily passed as a maniac at that point.
"Amateur." Sephora scoffed to the surprise of Sirena. She didn't even sound like she was barely in pain and Sirena was slightly taken aback.
"This spear won't kill me." Sephora added as she kept talking and laughing at Sirena.
"Nothing can, except you have the lost forbidden spear belonging to the goddess Demeter, and you can never have that."
"Please tell me this is the spear." Sirena bent her head down as she whispered, praying silently in her heart. This was her last chance. Sephora was as ferocious as they came and would definitely kill her if she didn't kill her first.
"You bet." Angel told her, and that was all she needed to know. She raised her head back up and when their eyes met, the corners of her lips lifted.
Sirena smirked as she stared right at Sephora.
"Well, What do you think?" She teased.
Suddenly, Sephora began to cough badly, her eyes reddened up and foam began to rush out badly from her mouth.
"What's happening to me?" She cried out again and when she realized what was going on, she asked for mercy.
"Only that spear can hurt me! How did you get a hold of it? Please don't kill me–"
Sirena removed it and this time, striked her right in the heart. Sirena refused to hear her pleas. She was now ruthless.
Sephora's body immediately dissipated into the thin air like a cloud of smoke.
[Your fourth task has been completed. Congratulations, New Chosen Siren. You have received twenty siren points and you have officially upgraded to level two. Study the university, and soon, you'll be taught how to go back to the real world.]
Sirena finally heaved a sigh of relief, failing to hide her smile. When she turned around, she saw everyone cheering and hailing her so she flew down to receive them.
Congratulations were in order as they all welcomed their new leader. The whole time, Sirens was so overwhelmed that she didn't even know how to react. It was all new to her.
"Wait, Where's Arthur?"
Someone asked, and as Sirena suddenly began to look around cautiously, she knew that it wasn't over. She was just getting started.
