Sirena couldn't stop panicking. At this point they had walked out of the university and were on air.
Sirena laughed awkwardly to hide her nervousness. She was in a tight corner. She couldn't tell anyone about the system so she had no idea what to do at that point.
"Tell her you woke up here. She won't ask anymore questions." Her ai spoke to her from her consciousness, and it immediately calmed her down. Angel came to her rescue.
"I don't know how it happened. I just woke up here. I guess it just happened that way because I immediately knew what I had to do." Sirena replied before turning back to look at Quinn, to see if she truly bought her lie.
"Hmm. I see. Oh, we're here." Quinn replied, pointing down to the ground from up high.
Sirena looked down to where Quinn pointed to see a portal waiting for them. It was just like the one she saw in the garden that the system showed her. What was the system's relationship with the mystical world? She thought about it but brushed it off as they flew down.
"You just have to get through it and you'll be where you're meant to be. I'll do the same and be where I'm meant to be. It's how we come in and leave the mystical world. This portal belongs to the sirens alone."
"Oh. I guess I have a lot to learn." Sirena teased
"You know what? Let's go in together."
Quinn grabbed her hands and immediately they went though. When Sirena opened her eyes again, she was in the garden. Her school garden where she entered the portal through. Quinn was not in sight so she truly appeared to where she needed to be.
When she looked around, she saw that time had barely changed. She was so confused that she asked herself loudly why time had seemed to pause while she was in the world of the creatures. At one point, she wanted to believe that it was all some big dream.
"No you're not dreaming. You did fight and overthrow the evil Sephora. You're in your human form now and you have more classes. Your friends are looking for you."
Angel spoke to her and she turned to the entrance of the garden to see two of her roommates, Tori and Eva, walking towards her.
"Where have you been? Why did you suddenly leave the class? Wait, what happened to you?" Tori asked several questions all at once and Siren didn't even know where to start to lie from. Time had barely passed so she would definitely come up with something later but for now, she needed to chill a little.
"Yes, you look messy and scruffy. Did you fight anyone? Did someone hurt you?" Eva asked this time around, scanning her body in a very worried manner.
"Come on, let's take her to the infirmary." Tori added, and they proceeded to help Sirena get there but Sirena didn't want that.
"No, there'll be no need for that. Come on, let's go back in. I have a lot to catch up on. I fell down, so that's why I scratched my back. It's not a big deal."
"Are you sure? Your uniform is a mess. Let's go back to the hostel so you can change into something else. You look terrible and you wouldn't want anyone seeing you like this. We can get there through the garden so no one will see us take you there." Eva butted in.
Sirena could barely care and was ready to say no but she remembered the old Sirena. She would most definitely care and since she needed to at least act like her, she decided to oblige.
"Okay, let's go to the hostel. I agree, I need to change and have a quick shower, but I'm not going to the infirmary. Got it?" Sirena said, acting like a spoiled brat that was commanding servants. Based on what they said to her that morning about attacking them if she left them behind, she was slowly getting some insights on what the old Sirena was like.
"Yeah." They chorused, leading her out of the garden and all the way to their hostel. Immediately they got to the room, they sat on their beds so they would wait for her. Sirena didn't even bother telling them to leave because the last time she didn't, it didn't go well. She was just going to make sure to finish up on time and leave.
She got rid of her uniform and stepped into the tub. She had already had her first bath there but as she settled in and looked around, déjà vu washed over her. It looked just like her bathroom, the one she was killed in in her past life.
She didn't realize when she started to panic as the water was filling the tub. Her hands were shaking and she begged herself to get it together but it wasn't working so much. She saw a line of blood that was polluting her lather and realized that it was coming from her back. It was getting so red that she had to step out of the tub to check it out on the mirror.
There were actually two cuts, deep, just beside where her wings would be. Even as she stood, the blood was still dripping from her back.
After standing there for a while, frozen in her own mind, she snapped herself right out of it.
"Angel. I would like to purchase a skill."
The AI didn't reply to her request but the interface popped up before her.
[You have twenty siren revenge points. Select through the available skills and make a purchase.]
Sirena went through the skills and saw healing, the one she wanted. But this kind wouldn't last forever. It can only be used twice. She had no choice but to make the purchase, and it cost her five siren revenge points.
[Healing skill purchased. Congratulations. You have fifteen siren revenge points left.]
The interface disappeared and Sirena demanded to use the healing skill on her back. Immediately, she felt tingly and looking at her back in the mirror, she watched the blood disappear from her back and the cuts heal. It wasn't unbelievable, she was just glad that at least she felt better.
She cleared out the water from the tub and bathed in a fresh one before coming out seconds later. She already knew her roommates were waiting for her so she came out and got dressed in a new uniform.
"We're so late!" Eva complained.
