The day had barely begun so the girls ran back to their lecture hall.
Now she was back as the human Sirena, she remembered the lecturer and got mad all over again. There was no way she wouldn't do something about it. He was so disgusting!
The worst part was that his class was still on but she didn't want to go in. It would be embarrassing, plus, she hated him too much to avoid reacting. Luckily for her, he finally finished and left.
She urged her roommates to go in earlier so all she had to do was join them. This lecturer was a female lecturer and she made the class really enjoyable. Sirena learned a couple of things and soon the class was over and it was now their break time.
She ditched her roommates because she needed space but obviously it was a bad idea. The unwelcome stares she got from fellow students at the long hall were so heartbreaking that she no longer felt like the supposed queen of the school. Instead she felt like one of the cleaners that had nothing going on for them.
As she thought of ways to at least improve the old Sirena's image, someone suddenly pulled her into an office.
When they arrived she looked around to see the office before her face landed on the Lecturer's.
The same one from the morning.
"What do you want, Mr Farlow?" Sirena asked, gnashing her teeth at his audacity.
He pulled her to him right in front of his desk.
"You talk like I'm still married, princess. I'm not anymore." He teased as he smiled, revealing his perfect set of white teeth. He was slightly old looking but he could still pass for a devilishly handsome man. Even Sirena could see it, but that was it. His character sucked. It would even be more annoying if he did this to other girls. As she stared at him, she couldn't believe that she saw him as a respectful force to be reckoned with when she was Ayra.
"I don't care. I've told you to stop." Sirena glared at him, his hands still on hers, holding her so she won't be able to leave. She hated that he wouldn't stop.
"After the way you walked out of my class and disrespected me today? You sound like you want my attention the same way."
He whispered slowly against her ears and immediately she felt sick to her stomach.
"You're fucking disgusting!"
She forcefully removed her hands from his grip, shocking him as she ran out. She couldn't stand being in his presence any longer. She wanted to hurt him badly but she couldn't. She was going to make sure that the next time he tried such a thing, she would do something that he would never forget.
After she walked out of his office, she went out to receive air. Students were heading for the cafeteria to have lunch but she wasn't in the mood. She just wanted to chill a little. After standing at the entrance of the school building for a while, her eyes locked with the eyes of a guy. He looked oddly familiar and Sirena couldn't pinpoint where she had seen him before so she let him walk all the way to where she stood. It was only when he was near that she realized who he was.
His eyes widened in shock too and it was easy to tell that they weren't expecting to see each other like that.
It was Ryan, the Incubus from the mystic world.
"Wow, it's really you."
He said, almost trying to convince himself that it was all real. Sirena smiled and let him continue.
"Sirena, You look…you look really good. I didn't expect to see you here like this."
He looked as dashing as ever in his school uniform. He was clearly a student.
Sirena was too stunned to speak but she managed to say a few words.
"I could say the same for you. I didn't know that you were also a student here or a student at all. You look really good."
"Well I am. I think the uniform is cute. It's a pity we'll have to get rid of it soon." He said, looking away briefly, expressing sadness before turning back to stare at her.
"Why?" Sirena asked, truly surprised and confused at the same time.
"Change of school policy. Apparently it's getting outdated. I don't expect you to be keeping updates since you're so busy being the gorgeous siren princess."
Ryan teased, licking his lips with his tongue unconsciously.
"Oh please. You flatter me too much."
Sirena rolled her eyes playfully and Ryan
thought it was the most beautiful thing ever.
"Anything for you. So, why are you here? Had lunch yet?"
"I'm not quite hungry." She replied back.
"Well, I was heading to the library, would you like to come with me? I could show you a few things."
Ryan asked, hoping she would accept his offer. He was willing to do anything at that point to spend a couple of minutes more with her.
"That sounds tempting." Sirena said, squeezing her lips slightly and staring into nothingness as if she was thinking about it.
"Okay, sure but we have to get back before classes start."
"I promise to bring you back to this spot."
"Alright." Sirena smiled at his cuteness.
Sirena followed Ryan to the school library and even though Sirena had little memories about this place since the old Sirena wasn't a bookie, it still felt new and fresh to her.
She abandoned Ryan and rushed to the tech books section. Ryan caught up to her as she was selecting books and smiled when he saw her choices.
"I didn't know you'd be interested in things like this. Seeing you from afar before, I always thought you were into cartoons and dark romance books about fictional men."
He teased.
Sirena frowned but it didn't last for a while. The old Sirena was definitely shallow, but at least she could tell that he knew a bit about her.
"So uhm, what other things did you assume I was? I mean my interests."
She asked, truly interested but it scared him a bit. Everyone knew about Sirena so he never really crossed her path before. But the woman he was talking to now was nothing like that, or was she?
"You're not saying that to get me to say something bad about you, right?"
"Of course not." She played it off awkwardly.
"Well, I think you should know yourself best. I thought you were cool and beautiful too."
"Thank you. I guess I have a thing for tech books now, Ryan."
"That's good."
"I didn't know you were a siren. I guess you've always been and it explains your beauty." He smiled, complimenting her. This one managed to get to her head and stomach. She couldn't suppress a smile even if she wanted to
"You're one to talk. I mean, look at you. One could get lost in your eyes."
She complimented him back.
"Please tell me you're talking about yourself because it wouldn't be a bad idea."
"You're so silly!, Sirena said, rolling her eyes again.
"let's go sit down so we can read before break time will be over."
She hated men but found herself talking and smiling with this one. Was she getting weak? Could he possibly be a friend she could use on the long run or a foe she'll end up killing?
