Chapter 19 - The Siren University

"You did good, Sirena." Ryan, the guy she lied to initially, said to her as he walked up to where she was seated. At this point, she was already back to her normal siren form and the spear had disappeared with it too.

The sirens were still in the incubus university and soon they would leave. They were arranging the classroom and tending to an injured Sirena.

"Thank you." She smiled back. He had barely been by her side and she was already blushing.

"I'm Ryan. Nice to meet you by the way. You lied to me, but I guess it was for the siren's benefit."

Sirena thought that with his wings, he looked like a prince, too gorgeous of a person to exist amongst other incubus. He stood out and that was his charm. He was truly handsome.

"About that, I'm hopeful that I won't do that again. Thank you for letting it go."

She said gratefully as she batted her lashes at him. She hated herself but it was who she was now. She loved good things and was attracted to gorgeous creatures and people.

"Anything for you princess." He winked before he grabbed her hand and kissed it before he walked away. He looked so handsome and his emerald eyes shined like two perfect earrings that were designed by the best jeweler. Sirena couldn't stop blushing upon the contact.

She knew she would like to see him again one day.

It was finally time for them to go so they went as a group. They flew back to the siren university where Sirena was the new chancellor. How it happened, she still didn't understand. She suddenly had a whole lot of responsibilities that she had no choice but to accept.

They held an emergency meeting where the oath of office had to be performed. She was already the chosen siren of their generation so it was all formalities for a peaceful coexistence.

Sirena was led up to the podium where she had to give an emergency speech.

The whole university saw her as some kind of hero and gossip flew about how everyone was relieved that Sephora had gone. She was a terror from the very first day and she never failed to hide it in her dealings.

The sirens were full of joy as they listened to their new leader. Sirena was more than honored with the reception she got from them. As she began to give her speech, Quinn walked in and joined her on the podium.

Sirena's voice wavered for a second because Quinn was such a dark skinned beauty and it was hard to look away. Sirena managed to get over her beauty and completed her speech.

When she was done, they all cheered for her before they got dismissed. As they exited the large auditorium in their groups, Quinn approached spoke to Sirena, causing goosebumps to attack her skin.

"Thank you for what you did back then." she grinned and her eyes sparkled, never falling to enchant Sirena.

"I guess it was part of my destiny. I was only playing my part." She shrugged her shoulders, acting like it was nothing but the pain she felt at her back wasn't nothing at all.

"A part you did excellently well. Permit me to show you your office and educate you on what we do here. I'll also take you to the dark room."

"Dark room?" Siren's eyes lit up, particularly taking interest in that particular room.

"Yeah, where we keep weapons and whatnot." Quinn stated as if it was something Sirena was supposed to know.

"Weapons like what?" Sirena asked confusedly. It was clear that she didn't understand what she would use any weapons to do.

"You'll find out. We only use them for missions for humans. For other creatures, we fight in our siren form."

That's when it clicked. She remembered that she had to leave for school. She had no idea how to go back and was confused. She knew people would be worried and concerned about her disappearance in the real world.

At the same time, she didn't want to miss out on seeing the whole university and everything so she decided to stay back and be with Quinn.

"Okay, let's go. I didn't know we had missions and dealings with the human world"

"Very well then. I'll explain it all on the way."

They both left the podium and after passing through a set of classrooms, they arrived at Sirena's office.

Sirena gasped upon walking in. The school was quite tall so even the doors were heavy and towered above them at great lengths. The sirens were strong so it was never an issue for them.

Sirena saw lots of paperwork on a desk that was clearly hers. She was into tech in her past life. Everything was looking really fun for her already as she looked around. This wasn't what she was expecting either but she wasn't mad about it.

"I'll shadow you for a week or two, so you can get the ropes. Once you're well grounded, you can take over. I've always been the assistant to all the leaders so I know all there is to know, but this is only if you let me. I don't want you to ever feel like I'm controlling you. Are you fine with the idea?"

"Yeah. I sure am." Sirena smiled and an awkward silence fell upon them. Sirena's eyes left Quinn's face and fell on her breasts tucked nicely inside her shirt. She stared at it for a second before averting her eyes. It was clear that Sirena couldn't stay locked in a room or in the same space alone with this woman. Her composure would slip and she'll end up showing her lesbian side.

They walked out eventually and Quinn began to explain to her how the university worked and operated. They were headed to the training room and the walk there would definitely take a while. Obviously they could fly, but there was no need to forget how to walk.

"You'll find out on your desk that the tryphons rule over us but let me explain to you in detail. They rule over all the creatures in this realm because in a place like this, leaders must be elected. We didn't choose them but they towered over us in such a way that it simply made sense. In historic times, they normally offered favor points to creatures that pleased them. Over time, some creatures began to abuse it so the tryphons had to result in making wicked demands to see if creatures would betray their kind. I guess it was where Sephora got the idea from. Thank you for taking care of her."

"It was nothing really."

"I'd like to think it was something, Sirena. You looked pretty cool up there too. You have my respect for that."

Sirena's eyes lit up and her cheeks became a crimson red. She forgot how to smile and unconsciously blushed hard instead. She wasn't used to receiving compliments from women but she knew she would do anything to get Quinn to compliment her.

"Let me explain other parts of our work and how we manage to keep balance between our realm and the human world. Besides, I have to leave soon."

"To where?" Sirena asked because she was curious.

"To the human world, we all have lives and tasks there too." Quinn stated, explaining to her.

"Oh, that's.. that's fascinating." Sirena nodded her head in approval.

Quinn could only smile, clearly amused.
