The three of them was tangled around due to the fate meeting in Club of Jazz back in the university. That's the starting point of his miserable history of being bullied by a junior.
Mike tried to calm down himself and not to lose temper, so he refused in a soft tone, "No way. No more salary increase this year. Talk about it when our bar is twice in size."
The request of Mike successfully triggered the anger of Sheena as expected, who just yelled out and complained, "Malicious merchant! You've changed after the graduation, how could be so sordid and chary? Didn't you say you would just live in a life of no pressure? "
Mike knew Sheena was just teasing him right now, so he just pretended to be deaf and refused to answer any doubting from her. She was playing tricks again to get what she wanted, so Mike raised his eyebrows and said, "No bargain room. Hurry up and get on the stage!"
As if shocked by the saying of Mike, Sheena muttered, "Are you just living the no-pressure life at the cost of high pressure on me?" Saying this, Sheena bore a pair of widely-opened eyes as if the lovely deer. Mike sighed and flattered her in return, "Fine, stop this topic. Hurry up, if my bar could help me make a big fortune, I wouldn't hesitate to raise the salary. "
Only when Mike said this would Sheena give a satisfied smile and said, "Okay, I, the singing queen of your bar, wouldn't hesitate to help your bar making money! Let's go!"
After saying that, Sheena stood up and walked towards to the performance stage inside the bar. Mike was amazed by the charm of Sheena in full wings to performance, so he followed up her immediately.
Sheena was an amazing girl indeed. Back in the university, she was always the heroine in the dance performance in all kind of activities, and the club was invited to a lot of activities, helping them to earn pocket money which enabled them to do a lot of things even though in the identity as students. Back when most university students was busy in making money from part-time jobs, they had learned to earn money from cooperation with company at all sized. This quite helped a lot for their entering the society with a not that innocent mind and adapting with the actual society.
Talked back to Sheena, Sheena was a part-time singer in his bar. Nobody would expect such a girl good at learning and wining so much scholarships had worked in a night bar as a singer. She was good at dancing but she only did the singing here. She had ever claimed singing was a hobby that she loved that she wouldn't mind earning some money from this, but she wouldn't use the capacity of dancing to please men in such a place. "In such a place, even though I dance as a professor, no one would consider it as a job but seize the chance to mock or fool with." Mike still remembered the face that Sheena bore when she said that.
She was upset and seemed to fall into a pit of darkness, where she may have been trapped due to her experience or family. Yes, family. Mike felt familiar with Sheena was because she seemed to have a family as dark and negative as his. Maybe she had the whole complete family, but she seemed to own nothing at all.
Maybe that's why she was so obsessed with making money with her skills.
However, Mike had to say that, Sheena did have something that she could rely on herself.
Discovering her capacity of singing could be traced back to the celebration for the successful performance of Jazz dance in the new-year ceremony of a tycoon enterprise, all of them were surprised that she could sing as well. Therefore, when he had the bestowed fund to start up the bar, he had immediately rushed to invite Sheena. After all, for a startup enterprise, the lower the cost, the better the results. As expected, he seemed to gamble at the right one.
"She is like an angle warbling in the mortal world, right?" Suddenly a man voice just interrupted the memory-recalling of Mike.
Mike looked down by tracing the voice source, it was a tiny man in a whisker face. "Are you Japanese?" Mike was curious about the interruption from such a stranger.
This whisker man looked up with a grin, saying in a sincere face, "Yeah, but it wouldn't change our shared opinions on this girl, right?"
How do you know I share the same opinion with you? Mike frowned and was confused more. However, with the grin of this whisker man, Mike could tell out this man didn't have any meaning of offense, so Mike smiled back and pointed at the empty seat beside the man. "I'm Mike, would you mind?"
The whisker man understood his meaning and made a gesture to invite him to sit down.
"You've succeeded in finding a good business hunter." The whisker man smiled and stared at Mike, "by the way, I'm Luis Smith."
Luis Smith was quite different from the men coming to the bar: while most of men came to the bar for fun that such a man like Luis Smith looked so serious in face was a quite strange scene. "You're her boss, right?" Luis Smith narrowed his eyes, as if a cheetah targeting at his food. Mike shivered for a kind of strange fear raising in heart. Of course, he did it for the one on the stage.
Forced by a mysterious momentum, Mike nodded his head unconsciously. "But how do you know?" Mike swore he had never noticed he had ever seen him in the bar.
"I've observed for days, and you're always the one following her for chat before her on stage."
It turned out that he was the careless one. "You have come here for times?" Although he knew it at heart, he still tried to get admission from his mouth. Luis Smith was quite straightforward in admitting it with a sincere smile.
"Wow, wow, wow, guy, " Mike thought it was his time to stand out to strong something bad to happen. He stretched out his hands to roll up the sleeves, showing out the muscles that he had trained so hard to gain in the gym, "I'm telling you, don't ever try to mess around here, I'm…"
However, Luis Smith burst into laughter once he saw the movements of Mike. Mike was amazed by the laughter of Luis Smith, but he didn't stop but wait for him to stop. However, he could sense this man wasn't coming for evil.
After a little long while, this whisker man calmed down and looked at Mike seriously, "I don't know whether your muscles do work or not, I truly believe you're a good boss."
"In fact, semi-semi…half a boss, no more." Mike didn't dare to claim as the man fully control of her, because she would be mightier than him that he had never succeeded in persuading her, especially back in that year when he was helping her to get closer to Eason Brook. That's another story.
However, right now here he wouldn't mind someone else was appreciating him on his capacity of finding such an excellent employee, even though she was just a part-time singer.
"I've observed her for one month or two," in a serious face, Luis Smith looked at Sheena on the stage, who was immersed with singing that she looked like a marbling bird singing a song comforting the people on site, everyone down the stage was attracted and listening carefully.
Mike was again realizing his carelessness, how could such a whisker man come to the bar but Mike himself even didn't notice, it turned out that he was the most careless man among Three-Kight Troupe (Eason, Sheena, Mike).
"Hey man, I didn't know what you're going to do, but I did tell you what, she is the most amazing singer in my bar, if you meant to do any..."
"How about if I help her issue the music album?" Luis Smith interrupted and smiled confidently. "She deserves to sing on a bigger stage."
"Er…wow…That's totally out of my expectation." Mike had never expected someone just came and undermine the wall.
If this scout is true, maybe it's a good way for Sheena to make a fortune, for she had always said she would like to earn a lot of money. Becoming a star would be quite a quick way. "Really? Wow, I never expect my bar would cultivate stars on the stage." Mike stared at the whisker man carefully again, trying to figure out some hints of evil or else, however, Luis Smith seemed to just look at him with sincerity as if he had already guessed right Mike's reaction.
However, no matter what, Mike could tell that this man was not lack of money, at least he dressed well, and what he smoked and drank were quite low-keyed luxurious. He might be a owner of a music studio.
As if hearing Mike's internal voice, Luis Smith smiled and nodded his head, "Yes, I'm the boss of Green Fox Music Studio."
