They both went out of the house and started to go. It was a long walk and there was an awkward silence between them.
They finally reached their destination, they were in front of a club, it was one of the clubs owned by Leonard in the city. David never had a reason to go to a club because he had no business there.
At the entrance of the club, there was a huge bouncer standing there and Herald walked up to him.
"Is the boss in?" Herald asked.
"Yes, he has been waiting for you." The bouncer replied.
Herald turned to David who was behind him, "Come on lets go in."
Herald walked inside the club and David followed him behind, but as David was about to enter the bouncer stopped him.
"Leave him, he is with me." Herald turned back and said.
This was not as easy for Herald as it seemed, letting David into this and knowing what kind of assignment he would be asked to do, and even if he wanted to turn back now it would not be possible because there was no going back from here on out.
Herald went straight into the room where Leonard normally stay, David did not even have a good look at the club he just followed Herald.
They worked into the room, the room was cool and dark with dim red light and Leonard was there sitting on a big couch with two bodyguards beside him and a table in front of him.
"You finally made it, for a second there I thought you would have backed out. But who I'm I to think like that." Leonard said as Herald and David walked in front of the table. David was distracted by the room because to him it was nice and relaxing.
"We are here now." Herald said.
Leonard gave a signal to the bodyguard at his right and the bodyguard reached into his pocket, brought out a picture, and gave it Leonard. Leonard then drop the picture on the table, it was a picture of man.
Herald looked at the picture and realized that it was a familiar face but he did not know exactly who it was. "Who is this?" Herald asked.
"Well I'm glad you asked, his name is Andrew Mayers, he is a regular at most of my clubs." Leonard replied. Leonard sat up straight "Recently my girls have been dying. This man Andrew would take my girls from the club to a private room and while in the room he makes the girls take a new drug that came out. It's a dangerous drug that is supposed to make you feel like a unicorn or something like that and after taking the drugs the girls die." He continued.
David was still trying to connect all that together and Herald asked. "And what do you want to be done about it?"
"Well I want your kid to take him out and it should be clean, well if he doesn't make it clean I will get it cleaned up after." Leonard replied.
David was confused by what he meant by taking him out. "Wait, are you saying I should kill that guy?" David asked.
Leonard rested back on the couch. "It should be done this night."
"Consider it done." Herald said.
David was still not yet sure on what deal they just made in his name and he tried to say some but Herald stopped him. "Come on lets go."
As they were about to leave the room Leonard stopped them and said. "And Herald, show your kid what he needs to do the job." Leonard said.
"Sure." Herald replied.
They both went out of the room with Leonard giving a small chortle. As they walked David had so many questions to ask but if was as if Herald was walking too fast just avoid any questions from him. After a while of walking, David could not hold it anymore.
"Do you really think I can do that? Do you really think I can kill somebody? What is all this?" David asked.
Herald did not reply, he just continued to walk. They went out of the building and went into the building next to the club.
"There is no way you think I could do something like that, are you even listening to me?" David kept on asking as Herald ignored him and kept on walking.
David was getting angry but he could not do nothing but follow Herald.
David started to ask again but with anger, "Why are you not listening to me? Are you not hearing what I'm saying? I can't kill anyone, just stop and listen to me." David shouted.
Immediately Herald stopped and turned back, "Look, what do you mean you can't do it? What do you mean you cannot kill anyone? What did you think this job I got you was about?"
"Are you serious right now? You are asking me to kill someone." David replied.
Herald became angry and yelled, "I thought you wanted to be in the army like your father, what do you think he did?"
"He kills people for good reasons and he doesn't kill innocent people." David said.
"Do you think the man you were asked to kill is innocent, the man kills innocent girls. Look, I know this is not easy trust me, but it is what it is. The only difference with what you will do with what your father did is just the people you will be doing it for and nothing else.
David could not say anything else, because deep down he knew that what his uncle said was true.
"Now why don't you stop and let me help you out here, that's what I am here for. Eventually you'll get use to all this." Herald said as he turned to the side and opened the door in front of him.
He opened the door and they both entered the room. David was surprised with what he saw. The room was one the cartel's armory, it was not that big but it was stuffy, filled with different kinds of gun, grenades. David had never seen so many guns in one place before.
David walked around while feeling some of the guns. "This place has enough guns to start a war and we are only one city." He said.
"Well we buy enough guns from the black market and store them here incase anything happens." Herald replied
