Devon Stone pondered his assistant's words well, a stone-cold expression stretched across his face. He had just received news that business giant Amanda Saw was coming to Star City. He knew all about the woman's business endeavours; ruthless, decisive, intelligently strategic. Dominant. In fact, she was so dominant she took over every territory she ventured into, becoming the business titleholder in every city, making submissive enemies out of even the richest and most experienced businessmen. Within four years of her becoming, she had earned herself the title 'Corporate Queen'. She was the only one with such a title since a 'Corporate King' didn't even exist. It was said she could sweep away big companies with just a simple command. That woman's unparalleled power, dominance and influence was unlike anything in the country's history. Tycoons like Devon could only dream of having such ability, and he was already the king of Star City. He was a man who was never moved by anything, but for the first time ever he felt fear, fear of losing everything he'd worked for because of a woman who was unrestraint in her hunt for omnipotence. He was sure she was coming to take over his land, his city, his empire.
But she was stepping into his territory, and he wasn't going down without a fight.
A woman stepped off her private jet that had finally landed in Star City. She took in a deep breath of fresh air. Home. She was home. One of the richest cities in the country. Normally, after how she had been treated one would think she'd be disgusted. But it was the people she hated, not the place itself.
"Glad to be back, milady?" a handsome man next to her gently asked.
"I'm not really sure, Sam. But there is this great restaurant I must take you and the guys to," she gleefully replied.
Muylin's heart held mixed and complicated feelings over her return to Star City after five years. She wondered if anyone there had ever thought of her after she disappeared. She shrugged her shoulders and walked forward. She was there to conquer and destroy, not to reminisce on old times. She covered her face with a scarf and sunglasses, completely hiding her identity as she entered the flooded airport. Reporters were all ready with their cameras and began snapping the moment she stepped through the gates. They all just knew that she was the famed Corporate Queen, Amanda Saw. There was not a single picture anywhere that displayed her face, no one knew what was behind the scarf and glasses. Not even her business partners knew. Muylin, known as Amanda Saw, leisurely strolled through the airport with her bodyguards exuding murderous intent that kept the reporters at bay.
"Ms Saw, can you tell us why you're in Star City? Are you here to rule the city as you did with many others?" one reporter asked.
"Ms Saw, it is said that the kings of the city are Devon Stone and Bryce Cameron. Are you going annihilate them first before taking the high seat?" another asked.
At the name Bryce Cameron, Muylin tensed a bit, but never broke her stride. She knew every business in Star City was listening in. It was quite iconic how the reporter asked the question as though Muylin was capable of simply squashing the so-called kings of Star City easily. So, she decided to play around a little. She turned to the reporter with a playful smirk under her scarf.
"And if I did want to annihilate them? Would it be a problem?" a low, feminine, magnetic voice teased from behind her face-covering.
With that she turned and continued on her path peacefully to the Rolls Royce waiting for her outside. Devon Stone and Bryce Cameron, in their offices respectively, both cringed slightly at her casual answer. They both knew she was more than capable of doing it, crushing them at same time even. They had to act first, and fast.
"What are we going to do, sir?" Bryce's assistant worriedly asked.
He thought for a moment. He couldn't prevent the inevitable alone, but with an ally, he might have a chance.
"Set up a meeting with Stone. He and I have some discussing to do," he said.
