All were excited to see the famous Corporate Queen, even all the important people inside were nervous, anxious and giddy with excitement to receive such a record-breaking, history-making person. All but Bryce and Devon who were filled with nothing but pure anxiety. Seeing as how Muylin had yet to show up, they kept glancing at the entrance, waiting for her arrival. Though they tried to appear calm and unbothered, some perceptive people could tell these men were not at ease at all. And not just them, but all other business owners who came in close-seconds to Bryce and Devon were also feeling the weight of a person they had to meet. Xavier Reece walked up to Bryce and laid gentle hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry so much. Just respect her," he advised.
"The first part is easier said than done," Bryce muttered as he threw yet another glance towards the entrance.
Devon had his fiancée on his arm, a beautiful Japanese woman who was warm and welcoming in comparison to Devon's frosty nature. They were complete polar opposites. She smiled at everyone who approached them while Devon maintained his stony look. The woman looked up at him and smiled lovingly.
"Honey, it wouldn't hurt to crack just one smile," she told him.
"If I smile, people will think it's okay to talk to me," Devon joked in a low voice to which the woman giggled.
Noise attracted their attention and they turned to its source. Reporters and paparazzi outside were nearly going insane. It could only mean one thing. Devon crossed gazes with Bryce as they both felt their heartrates pick up pace fast. Devon's fiancée soothingly rubbed his arm to calm him and Bryce's grip on his date's waist increased.
The late Rolls Royce finally pulled up to the entrance of the event, exciting paparazzi and reporters alike. Rowen was first to step out from the driver's seat before he walked to a back door and opened it. He offered his hand which Muylin took as he helped her out. She gracefully stepped out and into the blinding light of combined flashes. She heard countless gasps, and watched on as the crowd fell silent with shocked and awed faces. They probably weren't expecting the Corporate Queen to be that good-looking. Muylin took slow, calculated steps to the entrance, her movements seemingly enchanting and trapping everyone in a trance. Her chocolate, moisturised skin was beautifully exaggerated in the light as it gave her a glowing magical essence. She put one foot in front of the other like a professional model as she continued ambling the red carpet. Halfway to the entrance the crowd snapped out of their mesmerized state and began taking endless pictures as they bombarded Muylin with questions.
"Ms Saw, what are your intentions of coming to Star City?"
"Ms Saw, how do you further plan to expand your business?"
"Ms Saw, do you plan to add Star City to your list of conquered cities?"
Muylin walked past the crowd and entered the huge room. The moment she set foot, all heads turned to her as everyone in the room quieted down. She paused for a brief moment before walking forward, allowing her eyes to take in the sight. They all looked at her with wide eyes and agape jaws, men feeling lustful arousal in them as they examined her every curve. She was packed in all the right places: thick thighs, wide hips, fairly sized breasts, one big and round butt, all with a shaped, defined waist that made her body look almost like a perfect hourglass. Women who didn't expect her to be so attractive felt jealousy rise in them as they too dirtily eyed her. Devon was not affected by her body, his eyes were only for the woman next to him, but he could feel angst gripping his heart. She had arrived, the woman who could terminate him if he didn't play his cards right. Bryce gulped his saliva down as he watched Muylin, Amanda Saw, walk in.
Muylin casually strolled in, head high, perfect posture, elegant walk, exuding vivid and rich authority. One would've thought she owned the place if they didn't know the truth. No one could peel their eyes off the majestic sight. The Mayor walked up to a risen platform with a mic and lightly cleared his throat to garner everyone's attention. He had not said the official welcome, stalling a full 45 minutes in anticipation of Amanda Saw's arrival. He refused to formally commence without the guest of honour. As if they were all stuck in a state of hypnosis, the guests blinked before reluctantly setting their vision off the influential woman who sauntered into their company. The supremacy that rolled off her in waves intimidated everyone, within a near distance, enough to take a step back and maintain a safe detachment from her overbearing aura.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you all to this year's annual Memorate Event. I would like to particularly welcome a very special invitee, our honorary guest and undoubtedly the most important person for the night, Amanda Saw. Ms Saw, I humbly greet you on behalf of the city. I hope you will find your stay in Star City pleasant," the mayor announced before warmly directing his words to Muylin.
Muylin gave a gentle bow in appreciation of the Mayor's words. Low, soft music played in the background and the guests interacted, occasionally glancing at Muylin to watch her movements. Rowen and the other bodyguard stood next to her and Sam, as Sam treated himself to a glass of champagne offered by a passing waiter.
"You don't want one, Rowen?" Sam asked, more like kidded.
"I don't drink on the job like your unprofessional self," Rowen retorted.
Before they could begin yet another of their pointless arguments, Muylin hummed in thought, grabbing their focus.
"Well, looky who's here…" she scoffed, looking in a particular direction.
