Earlier that day, Barbara prepared the kids for the Heming manor. She had not told them about the decision she took with Kristie. When the carriage stopped, she glanced at the carriage parked outside, which belonged to the Reylson, guessing it was Kristie who came. She got out, followed by the kids.
"Big Sister, where are we?" Hans asked, gazing at the house. Greta, who stood beside him, nodded.
"This will be our home from now on," she responded, and the kids looked at her strangely. "You will know everything when we enter," she reassured, smiling at them.
The maid led the three of them to the room where Kristie and the couple stayed. When they entered, Barbara greeted the Baron and the Baroness.
"Come nearer," Baroness Esme said, inviting the kids to walk closer.
Barbara sat beside Kristie. "Why are you here?" she asked.
"The paper was done. You and the kids were now Baron Heming's adopted children," Kristie informed.
