Sheila woke up in the middle of the night, feeling something uncomfortable on one of her legs.
'Uh... what the hell is...?', Sheila thought irritated as she moved slightly, and within seconds of touching that area, she realized it was her phone, which had been in her pocket all this time.
With a sigh, she took it out and saw that it showed 04:18. She also noticed that Benjamin's jacket was on the bed, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Looking around, the hospital room was quiet and luxuriously equipped, but not ostentatious. The elegant furniture and soft sheets spoke of a high-end place, suitable for the doctors who worked there.
Sheila sat up slowly, feeling her body heavy and her head spinning.
The discomfort that had started earlier hadn't diminished; if anything, it seemed to be getting worse.
Sheila put a hand to her forehead, confirming what she already suspected: her fever had increased further.
