"Matt, let Treit continue with the treatment as lead. I trust her."
When Matt heard this response from Ethan, he took a deep breath, processing the decision.
"Alright, Ethan. I'll inform Dr. Treit of your decision right away."
"Thanks, Matt. Keep me updated on any changes," Ethan said before hanging up.
Matt pocketed his phone and headed towards Sophia's room, expecting to find Sheila. But upon arrival, he noticed she hadn't returned from the bathroom.
"Where's Dr. Treit?" he muttered to himself, his concern growing. He turned to the two nurses who had approached him.
"Please go look for Dr. Treit. She went to the bathroom a while ago and hasn't come back."
The nurses nodded and hurried off to find Treit. Matt stayed with Sophia, watching the monitors and anxiously awaiting Sheila's return.
A few minutes passed, and the nurses returned, their faces pale and full of worry.
