After trying to eat most of the fruits, Sheila decided to give up.
It was simply too much food for one person.
Still, to her surprise, Sophia had finished everything that had been ordered for her and was even eating the rest of the fruits that Sheila couldn't finish.
How much hunger had this poor child endured?
Could it be a side effect of the treatment?
Curious, Sheila asked Sophia:
"Sophia, how do you feel?"
"Great. Are you going to eat that?" Sophia asked, pointing to the last fruit in the basket.
With a smile, Sheila replied:
"Go ahead, you can eat it without any problem."
"Thanks," Sophia responded before grabbing it and biting into it enthusiastically.
The room felt calmer now, almost serene, despite all the twists and turns Sheila had gone through since arriving in this country.
"Treit, can we watch a show together on TV?" Sophia asked after finishing the fruit.
Sheila nodded.
