Benjamin raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, trying to calm the waters.
"Easy, Sophia. I'm here in peace. I don't mean to bother Treit, for now. I just came because I thought you might need something."
Sheila sighed, feeling exhaustion wash over her again.
Suddenly, all her desire to argue disappeared.
"Okay, Benjamin. I just... was surprised to see you here at this hour," Sheila replied, tired.
Benjamin nodded, understanding the situation.
"I guess you'd prefer to be alone to recover. I'm here to take Sophia home so you can rest," Benjamin proposed discreetly, which Sheila caught on to almost immediately.
This guy was good at reading the room… as long as he wanted to!
