"Fill me in on the information found." Yeon-Hee said, looking back at the body.
"Ah, the murder was called in by the tenant next door, stating that she discovered a trail of bloody boot prints leaving from this complex and heading towards the stairs."
"Cameras?"
"No. The power was deliberately cut off by someone and the backup generator only came on an hour later."
"... Security guard?"
"Jae-Sik is currently questioning him on the bottom floors." Kang In-Hyuk answered, walking over to the flipped over couch by the windows. "This was planned very thoroughly."
Yeon-Hee agreed with a sigh, performing deductions as she walked over towards the cracked glass table.
'The killer cut off the power supply to avoid being caught on camera and made his way up here to the victims place.' Yeon-Hee thought as she knelt down and picked a wine glass lying on the white mattress, observing the sliver of red wine in it.
'The victim was drinking alone when the killer came under the guise of darkness and confusion. How did the killer enter though? Did they trick the intoxicated victim into opening the door? Yes, that's most likely the case. So he opened the door, only to be suddenly attacked by the killer, but not seriously as the confrontation led into the living room.' Yeon-Hee looked around the room, noticing the cracked television that had dry stains of red wine leaking down the white wall to the broken bottle shards.
'The confrontation was most likely even despite the victim being intoxicated, no that's not right, the description of the killer was an athletic male. Was the killer playing around with the victim before killing him.'
"The killer was struggling most likely." Kang In-Hyuk added, noticing the slightly confused expression on Yeon-Hee's face, before he pointed in front of him where he was kneeling behind the couch.
Yeon-Hee stood up and walked towards him as Dae-Bom had left the room after he had an idea.
She stopped by him, noticing the independent drops of blood on the floor before she became confused and asked, "Isn't this from the victim?"
"No, this blood has bubbles from the mixture of saliva," Kang In-Hyuk probed at the blood with a cotton swab before putting it in a sealed plastic bag, continuing his explanation, "The blood from the victim is all on that side of the room with none of it somehow leading close to the couch."
'Ah, so the confrontation ultimately leaned to the killer's favour as he heavily injured the victim with a knife most likely. The victim retaliated, sending the killer flying into the couch and flipping it over with him as drops of blood fell from his mouth and dripped onto the floor.' Yeon-Hee deduced as she stood up and stared at the puddle of blood starting from the corner of the mattress and leading to the passageway where the body was.
"The victim attempted to crawl away from the killer who was recovering from the retaliation as he regained his senses and came towards the victim and killed him via; throat slitting and gouging out his eyes to place the flowers indicating his fourth victim." Yeon-Hee concluded her deduction, arriving next to the puddle of blood without a body that had long been carried off by the NFS.
Kang In-Hyuk agreed with her as he stood up and walked towards the passageway.
"Close the door and seal the door when you leave." Kang In-Hyuk indicated that he was leaving, before he was stopped by Yeon-Hee who noticed something.
"His phone?" She asked.
'His phone?' Kang In-Hyuk thought, before he looked at the puddle of blood that Yeon-Hee was staring at and spotted the rectangular outline of a phone!
"There's no phone." He replied.
While they were lost in thought, the elevator door opened as Dae-Bom walked out breathing extremely heavily.
"The killer… leaked the picture." He said, catching his breath in between as he walked towards them and took out his phone, showing the news article.
"The 'Red Retribution' strikes again!"
"The fourth victim of the killer was found today!"
