Chereads / A Werewolf Demise / Chapter 12 - Chapter 11

Chapter 12 - Chapter 11

There was a knock on the door and Adrianne got up to answer it, she checked the peephole only to see that it was one of her customers that buys her merchandise on a daily.

She opened the door to see what exactly he wanted to buy this time around.

"Mr Dubrow is nice to meet you," she greeted with a smile plastered on her face.

"It's nice to meet you too Adrianne. I came back a couple of times and your boyfriend told me that you weren't around."

Adrianne cringed when she heard him call Micael her boyfriend, of all the things to call them. But what did she expect, if anyone from outside see two people of the opposite gender living under the same roof without them being slightly related to each other, it's most likely they would think that they dating. So she don't blame them.

"Well, I was away for some couple of things." She said.

"Oh you traveled." He asked and she nodded her head.

"So, what do you come here for?" She tried her best not to phrase it in a way that is disrespectful, cause Mr Dubrow is technically 20 years older than her.

"Well I came her so that I can at least communicate with my wife once again." It was as if the mood in the air changed from the usual light and cheerful mode to some more dark and moody.

Adrianne nodded her head and stepped aside to let him inside the house. She gently closed the door behind her, as she turn to look at Mr Dubrow who observed her house as if it was his first time here.

Despite him being 43, Mr Dubrow was what many people would deem very attractive. With his dark brown hair that was nearly cut, along with those deep blue eyes. Even though he was wearing a baggy shirt and sweatpants one could still see the muscles underneath it all.

It usually takes a lot of composure and self control for Adrianne not to declare her love for him whenever he was around her air space.

She took him up the steps that led to both hers and Micael's room–on opposite sides of course.

She usually consult her seance in her room, cause she feels it's more intimate and it's a place she can connect to a lot of things more, compared to her potion room that is a little bit more disoriented and messy than the rest of the house.

Her's and Micael's room were complete polar opposites of each other. While Micael's room was always dark and little to no sunlight was available due to him not always opening the windows all the time, her's was bright and colorful and filled to the brim with different types of plants lining up on the window.

There was a small bookshelf which she keeps at the corner of the room, while her bed–which was enough to contain her figure–was situated in the side.

While close to her bed was another small shelf that was filled with potions and candles, while the middle of her room was an empty space that have a rug at the centre.

She went to pick up the candles and lit with a match box while place them on the candle stand.

She blocked out any source of light from entering inside the room, and then sat on the floor with her legs tucked underneath her.

Mr Dubrow imitated her movements, and then Adrianne placed her hand–with her palm facing down–on her knee. Closing her eyes she enchanted some few words in her language.

This was her way of connecting with the dead, then suddenly her soul left her spirit and the process another person's soul was transferred to hers.

While she watched as they both Mr Dubrow and his wife chat with each other, she remember the words that her grandma told her, that soul swapping and astral projection is a very dangerous thing to do. That if one is careful that the person might loose their body for the rest of her life.

However Adrianne had device a plan if that were to ever happen to her.

After Mr Dubrow was done chatting with his wife, she saw the fragment of her soul leave. One thing she noticed was that if a soul keeps on possessing a body, with the time the soul would start fading away. And that was what was happening to Mr Dubrow's wife.

She entered her body back, and opened her eyes to look back at Mr Dubrow who had a sad look on his face.

She better tell him her observation. "Um, Mr Dubrow..." She began, but she was caught off by him.

"Her soul isn't strong anymore is it."He asked, and it kind of shocked Adrianne cause she never expected him to figure it out.

"How did you know?"

"I could tell from the way she was sounding. She sounded weak, almost as if she wasn't present anymore with me." He let out a sigh, Adrianne couldn't help but feel sad for him with everything that he has been through he deserved the best that life has to offer. But instead he keeps getting the worse.

"Adrianne, I am very grateful for everything that you have done to help me through out this past few years."

"Don't mention it sir. I'm just doing my job."

"Yeah." He stood up from his position, and stretched out his legs due to him feeling it cramp. Sitting in that position most be quite a difficult thing for him to do all the time.

"Anyways, here is your money." He dip his hands into the pocket of his sweatpants and brought a hundred dollar bill. He was always so generous with money, but today Adrianne wasn't planning on taking anything from him.

"Sir, I don't think I need to take any money this time around."

A confused look appeared on his face. "Why?" He asked.

"I just don't think it's right for me too take money from you anymore."

Adrianne stood up so that they could be facing at eye level, which wasn't possible because she was a very short woman so her height only stopped at his chest area.

"Well if you say so." He said whilst shrugging his shoulders.

She walked him to the front door and she bid him farewell. Guess she would never get to see him again.

And she never got to tell him how she feels about him, a sudden throb came to her temples and she used her fingers to rub it gently.

She needed to get some rest.
