Chapter 12
The moon was in it's full glory that night. It's light descending on allover the city, Micael looked at it from his window and marvelled at how beautiful it was.
The Moon goddess blessing them with her Earthly presence any chance she gets. But sometimes he wonder why she was so cruel to him.
Flashbacks of what happened on that night five years ago. The look on Ansel's face as he finally got what he wanted.
Micael knew that Ansel never liked him, right from when they were pups. The animosity was always there, but to think that he would go that far to do something as evil as that was such a low blow.
Worse of all the one person that he called his best friend also betrayed him, lied on his name.
He clenched his jaw, anger bubbling up inside him. Everyday he wakes up with fresh new hatred for that bastard that calls himself Ansel. He just couldn't wait for him to get his paws on that asshole.
He tries his best to restrain his anger before he transformed into a wolf. He didn't want to deal with the whole process of transforming.
He left his window and walked to the table in the middle of his room, and picked up his phone to check the time. It was past midnight, and he began to wonder if Adrianne was awake.
He decided to check and see if she was by any chance awake or asleep.
He walked down the hallway that connected their room together, he softly knocked on the door before opening it up.
What he saw almost made him let out a scream. Adrianne was laying upside down in a crisscross position, her eyes were closed, so he couldn't tell if she was meditating or just sleeping.
He never remember her sleeping in this position before, and the whole thing weirded him out so much that he slowly backed away and softly closed the door behind him. Trying his best not to disturb whatever it was that she was doing.
He let out a sigh, and went to the cabinet where alcohol is and took out a bottle. He took out a glass and poured the content of the drink inside. He took a sip and his face was set in grimace.
He downed the drink in one go, ethanol burning his throat. He really needed this drink so badly, and it actually seemed to calm him down.
At least for the time being.

Anna straightened out her dress as she stood outside a motel. Ansel told her to come to this location so that they can meet up and have a little chat.
She didn't know why he decided to bring her outside at the outskirts of town, and worse by this time. And yet for some reason she never questioned him.
As a matter of fact, she never questioned a lot of things that he told her to do. It was as if he hypnotized her to do his biddings.
She shook her head off such thoughts. They have been dating for three weeks now and she wants to trust him. Sometimes she feels like he was too good to her.
A wind blew and she pulled her jacket around her a little bit tighter. She brought out her phone, sending him a text asking him where he was.
After she sent it, she switched off her phone. And held it in her bag.
"Excuse me miss, are you waiting for someone?" Hearing this made Anna turn around and saw a man that looked quite older than her, he was dressed in a trench coat and had greying hair.
"Yes I am." Anna said not wanting to be disturbed by anyone.
"It seems that the person you are waiting for isn't coming anytime from now." The man came closer to her, and she stepped back.
There was no one that was around, just only the two of them. So if anything was to happen to her, she was on her on.
"He is on his way."
"But it doesn't seem to be on his way. Why don't I just take you..."
Before he could talk, she felt an arm wrapped her shoulder, she looked at the arm and then at the person that owns the arm. A sigh of relief washed over her as soon as she saw that it was Ansel.
"Do you have any business with my girlfriend?" His voice sounded much deeper than usual, aside from his voice, his entire aura was also menacing.
The man stared at Ansel dumbfounded, he ran away with a fear that Anna couldn't comprehend.
When the man left, Anna removed Ansel's arm from her shoulder. "What took you so long?" She folded her arms glaring at him.
"I was caught up with something."
She wanted to ask more questions, but she didn't bother herself to ask. Instead she just let out a sigh and said: "I was starting to wonder if you would even come."
Ansel came closer to her, placed both his hand on her shoulders. "I'm sorry," he said kissing the top of her head. And a smile creeped up to her face.
There was just something about him that her made her feel all warm inside. She couldn't even explain it.
"So, why did you call me to this rundown motel?"
Ansel looked at the motel, it was far from rundown. It was still working and many people frequent it a lot.
"I called you here, so that we can at least have some quality time together. You are always busy with your work all the time."
"That's because of the nature of my job requires me to be available all the time."
"Well, that don't matter. I have booked a place for us to stay for the night till later on in the morning. Did I tell you that this motel have one of the best bacon and eggs."
There was a sound coming from Anna's bag, and Ansel looked at it wondering what that was. Anna let out a groan of frustration.
"Ansel, I am so, so, so, so sorry. Like I said the nature of my job requires me to always be readily available."
"Ah well then, no problem I guess. If you want me to drop you off, my car is over there." He pointed his thumb behind his back to indicate where his car was.
"I would be grateful." She said, as he walked some few steps ahead of her.
They got to the car, he opened up the passenger door and she sat down in the car.
While he walked around the car, and got into the drivers sit.
He revved up the engine, and drove into the dark of the night.
